Why did the developers use way too much geometry and not enough texture detail? Most developers should know that the more geometry detail you put in the more the game hogs the system. They should of done what the unreal engine does, or the call of duty engine. All the little notches should be textured in and not actually modeled. They could of made this game look the same, if not better and use less horse power.

If you notice in the hud, it's the audio simulation program built into the suit, theres a button for turning it off and going dark, no thrusters, only silence as you remain off the enemies radar. Which is fun for a stealth ambush.

The game explains how that works. Your suit has an audio simulation in it to pick up what's going on around you and translate that into an artificial version of what it might sound like. Y'know so you aren't totally deaf the entire game.

There is a silent mode for stealthy play that turns off the simulation, and all you can hear is the dull sounds of your gun firing through your suit.

Since the weapon is sending vibrations through your suit, it would cause some sound. Also, getting hit would cause sound as well, but it would definitely not sound like actual gun fire. If you listen at ~35 seconds you can hear what it would probably sound like.

The suits computer compensates for no sound. I have no idea how this would be possible, since the only source of information being received is light, and there's no way to calculate how something sounds based on the light it emits.

No dont say that about me. Alienware is for the bitches who dont know how to build or maintain their own computer (console fags). It's more around 800$ to build a decent to high end pc. 2000$ comes from the SSD's and the extra labor put into it. my Q9550 at 4ghz with 2 9800 GTX+ SLI, 8 GB 1600 mhz DDR3 1920 x 1200 PC was only around 1200$. that was a year and a half ago. now its more like 800-850$.

@antwilliams86 and i accept it. but it is sad that many dont realize a gaming pc doesnt have to be 2 grand to play the latest games. many game dev's dont want to waste money on the PC platform because of it either. i have to resort to playing on my brother's xbox 360 just because there aren't enough people online my favorite PC game. Crysis 2 is a game for the consoles (except for the Wii of course XD), but i worry that it will probably be a port for the pc and wont have a unique style of play.

You're right about that. I do realize that you don't have to pay that much, but most of the people I encounter, they feel that the only way to go about it is Alienware or something expensive like that, but I don't feel that way, but I still have a hard time finding games that will play on my aging computer I have here (which is really only about three years old) so I still feel I'm missing out. I look forward to crysis 2, but I'm sure it'll look nothing like what I've seen of Crysis 1.

@antwilliams86 because they dont actually research prices of modern hardware and know the capabilities of them. if you know how to, its MUCH cheaper to build your own gaming PC. as for Crysis 2, it'll use some of the features from the original, but it is said to use DirectX 11 too. so it could be a tesselated game as well, making it look even better. we'll know this summer though.

No anti-aliasing and antiso at that resolution would probably give you around 40-30 and below

But it also depends on your shader level and post-processing level
