  • I surfed these little driblers from 64-75. Then I moved to Santa Cruz. That was a good call.

  • Yes, how I miss those days in the 60's and 70's hiking the secluded trails to Haskell's and Driftwoods...and the forays up to Deadman's, Seals, and Naples. It was a quiet place. Only the surfers, and the oil guys at work on the pier. I still have drawings and paintings inspired by the pastoral scenes there. The glassy waves I surfed remain in my mind's dreams. It was an era now gone. Now, many miles to the north, I still surf hidden places on a wild coast. Thanks for keeping the memory alive.

  • I had those white Levi's Corduroy's Bell bottoms too LOL . And a Beaver- tail wetsuit...I was there in 1979-1981 surfed with Kemp AAburg,a long-board legend . That was a fun place to be...I still remember the tar on my feet, or in my suit, after a session. =)

  • .. can't even put into words how much I miss this place.

  • Surfed the Pier a few times in 72-73 but people said it was better in the 60s. Surfed with Tommy the Kid, Little Norman, Cappy, and a host of others from Goleta. Good times sneaking into Eds and playing with the rock at Deadmans. Too bad it isn't like that any more.

  • Dave Galtez (sp?) is in this one...

  • Hey Dude this is Steve Jones remember me and my brothers Mike ,Larry and Andy "The JONES " Brothers from Goleta.

In San Diego now surfing Oceanside and An Onofre.....
