clean the connectors with a pencil eraser

put the buttons back

I would try cleaning the button contacts before sending it in for repair. It is a very simple process.

This explains the process for an Emulator II. Same style of buttons on the SP. Worked well for me and I have replacement buttons. Now I can reserve them for when things really go wrong.

your keys are sticking -- thats not a problem every sampler has that issue over time -- i own a emulator II and had to have every button changed due to the same problem -

Listen SP1200 sounds great but over all it always has problems it was made very cheap...I just got one for $650 and it does the same thing...

Rogue sold me THREE shit TB-303's in a row and tried to lie to me about the battery function. I specifically said that I needed one which ran on batteries. They sent me three which did not, and put their tech guy on the phone with me who told me that the "C" batteries were for patch storage!! Whether he was incompetent or lying, I will never buy from them again. (The fourth one they sent me did power up on its batteries, but when I pay dealer prices, I expect real service. )

You just have to dismount the facade and spray contact

for the pads ,you can open them ,they are in two parts,inside is a metal stem which makes the contact ,you have to curbe it

I had the same problem with my SP when I first got it. I opened it up and found that the ground hook up wasn't attached to the case like it should be. I screwed it into the case and then everything worked good. Maybe that can help but I don't know. Good luck.

i was having the same problem. open it, cleaning contacts with alcool. Now some buttons are ok like brand new. For some others this is always idem. But try to open your unit and clean contacts this can work. peace

I still dont get his problem... it's a user error! He does not have a clue... I think he bought it cuz of it's rep as a beat king thinking he too will be a beat king....ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha... he should just lock himself away with it for 5 years and then do a youtube vid... Hey there, are you a bit technical?

Just open up the sp, take the buttons out, clean the connectors unders the buttons with q-tips and alcohol, put it all back 2gether, now it should work fine again....at least, mine is still working fine, the new and the old model.

das würde mich auch extrem ärgern. falls du bei denen mit cc karte bezahlt hast würde ich den betrag rückbuchen lassen (geht innerhalb 6 wochen, oder sogar länger) und warte bis die sich melden. hatte auch schon mal so einen stress mit einer 909 aus new york gehabt...

Yeah man...that does happen with the SP...the buttons dont respond everytime and the bank button skips around...iono if Bruce Forat could fix that but he may...TO ALL U CATS tryna cop a SP this is normal...thats Y somany cats sell em on ebay...cuz after time they dont work right

That's all normal. I mean that is still a pretty damn clean SP1200. The buttons are fragile kind of being that they are spring loaded buttons and are notorious for doing this over time it's just something that happens with that machine. I wouldn't be bummed out about that purchase.
