Heath was battling an upper respiratory infection, possibly pneumonia, & may have been jet-lagged returning to NYC from London. He also suffered from chronic insomnia. He was taking a variety of pain killers & sleep aids, some of which may not have been prescribed to him. Unfortunately, he took these meds in a combination that suppressed his breathing. His death was ruled "accidental drug intoxication."

i feel he wasn't quite as appreciated as the amazing actor he was until after the dark knight. sure, everyone knew he was a great actor before, but the dark knight was so amazing...he really went above and beyond in that movie. he WAS the joker

Ok; I saw Juno back in early Feb. and almost cried when I heard this song and thought of him and Matilda but didn't know why. I think I have watched this video before and had forgotten. Good job, and very appropriate. My heart still just hurts for all of them. I lost my dad last year, but I was 27; this precious one is still just a baby. I hope that she is old enough to have actual memories of her daddy, who no matter what else he was or wasn't, he loved that little girl.

Regardless of what your religion or beliefs are, you should respect someone in death or at least let them and their loved ones "set his spirit free". I believe those like Fred Phelps and others will be punished for their judgmental ways, no doubt about that.

I'm ready to cry now. His death is defintly a tragedy. (It was accidently, probably due to his medication reacting.) I feel so bad for Matilda. She's only two and has ro live without her father. A beautiful tribute hon. Definitly a tear jerker but beautiful.

yeah, I just didn't really have any appropriate songs to use for this video and thought this song was a good choice, but after watching it I just felt even worse. He was amazing and his loved ones should be able to grieve without the paparazzi bothering them and the press releasing accusations against his death.

I know. It's terrible. Casey Calvert's family was lucky, no one bothered them. I just wish Heath's family could get the same respect. He was too good of a person to deserve the way his death is being portrayed by the paparazzi.

exactly! Same goes for Brad Renfro, sure people talked about his death but mostly his family were able to grieve in peace...why can't people just show some respect? As for Casey I couldn't believe how little was said about his death in the press.
