You are kinda a retard... Portal was good, but it was from another game so that's a downside, but it was still good. Braid wasn't a mario knockoff, it was far from it. The puzzles were crazy intense, the graphics was a picture, and it was so artistic people still question it's meaning today. So shut up, IGN picked well.

@CortanaFTW oh, AND I was looking at braid from a gameplay perspective. In braid you jump around on moving things and put together puzzle pieces. I think braid must be rated G or PG. Portal however has a great storyline, and is incredibly original in it's gameplay. The whole claustrophobic feel makes it a lot better and it still puts in a lot of great jokes. I think you'll find it INCREDIBLY hard to find a game better than that on the xbox live ARCADE. I bet none of you have even played portal..

The puzzles are good, the acting on GLaDOS is superb, but it just doesn't rank above Braid on a puzzle game standpoint. Braid's long gameplay, challenging puzzles, and ambiguous but powerful story combined with it's beautiful environments just make it a work of art. ...And this is coming from a guy that has loved Valve since Half Life 1.
