Ok, thats cool. I see what you mean now. But if you are really asking, I think the c class is a much better machine. I mean, German tech super engines VS glorified Toyota engines (mind you, they are quite fuel efficient and do produce a lot of power). I know this sounds silly, but what sounds better, "I'm crusing in a Mercedes Benz", or "I'm cruising in a Lexus"?

I rode BMWs for 14 yrs and I must say, dont like the current 'Bangle butt' style, named after their chief designer - chris bangle. I got the C350 and its a great car, awesome body style with AMG pkg.

The interior could be better but its a great car.

honestly to me, having both owned bmw's and mercedes all my life, i prefer mecerdes. I don't race cars, so after a point, who cares about horse power? Whether or not you have 260hp or 450hp, your still not going to be maxing out your horses on the freeway. I like mercedes alot more because of its handling. The drive is quite a bit smoother, and the response in pedals is much sharper. But cars are different for everyone so, good luck choosing between the two.

I don't think the you can say that a car is for young people or old people between the BMW 3 series or the C-class.. its just for different people... If you wanna be involved in the driving experience choose a BMW.. if you want more value for money.. a comfortable ride.. and still get very very good performance compared to anything else besides the 3-series.. then go for the C-class.

enginewise maybe, but gadgets, hell no. i own a C3504matic (had a vid of it but had to take it down do to the safety of it). and the 9 speed transmission (7 up, 2 down) is pretty damn good and the electrical and all the gadgets in it including the navi and the 200 pound weight support doors and the OUTRAGEOUSLY huge brakes are all pretty awesome. does an is350 have cross-drilled discs? i think not.

2008and 2009 c350 do not have 4 matic as a option. and Mercedes do not provide service like at 4 wheel drive this kind of service.AMG verson only a few,and still does not came with the 4 wheel drive.

Trust me ppl the pictures dont do it any justice, my parents recently bought this(actually exact same car in video except we have black/grey combo) car a month or so ago, its quite torquey, handles nice, and i assure you sir when you buy a mercedes you buy it for luxury not to be the fastest thing on the road.

ThePavin: You are so right! The car is beautiful and handles well and is quite peppy. It's loaded with nice little features that are standard on this car but optional on others. While all those other cars are nice too this one is simply elegant. You don't need 600 hp. You're not going to race it.  I just got the C350 in black/black.

Thank You WiltonTsang: Really when you take a look closer the Mercedes Benz style ques are devestatingly beautiful. In one perspective you get the aggresive monster when the hood is opened at a 90 degree angle. From the side you get the luxurious curves that MB has put into it. I hope you love your car just as much as I love my parents!

hey i own a 335d Ecu-remapped with Brembo 6 pot brakes vented and crossdrilled brakes and she is a fine automobil, and i do grace the mercedes new c-class however they cudve done better with the power plants but i guess economy and emmissions control makes it real difficult for big firms like merc to produce too many high powered super saloons

Yep, the Merc engines are more torquey - besides, half the engines in the BMW range just go to waste - the entry level diesels and top-range petrols are the best sellers. Besides HP figures are for performance drivers, the Merc is designed to relax

The C350 does look really sporty and sexy in person but performance wise, they sucks in its class. The bmw 335i, infiniti g35 sedan, lexus is350 are all packing 300+hp. C350's 268hp doesn't cut it, thats honda accord's territory. Even though it is probably the best looking sedan out there, mercedes messed up by not putting 300hp on the c350. The BMW 335i will kick the c350s ass anyday.

The c350 is alot of fun to drive. It fits the driver like a glove, performs solidly, and is comparatively athletic in its price range. The BMW is a fine car too. Ultimately, it's just a matter of taste.

the c350 is definetly worth the extra 6 grand, it comes standard with amg body kit which lowers it 15mm, adds a sexy exhaust note + more, it gets premium 1 package standard and the extra 40 hp doesnt hurt ^.^ cant wait till i get my liscence

the c-class is supposed to be getting a CGI (direct-injection) V6 later, so it will get somewhere around 300-310 hp
