MAN thats awesome! nice physics of the rod it must take ours to simulate such a 2d cloth-like rope function! wich programes has been used to make that? and what prog. language ? I'd be glad if you responde :D
Sounds are good. So "amiga like". If i had to be honest I'd say they are too good to be yours. Maybe make your own, they will be a little worse but it will be fun making them (i tried, recorded sound on my cassette player in amiga days). You could use current sounds as a guide. Splash sound is great so there is no point reinventing the wheel. Just take a basket and drop something (apple?) into it and record it. Besides that - I love the 8bit look. It reminds me Atari 65XE and Keystone Keeper.
You should give it a non-fable-related title (regardless of how fable-like it is), an original score, and (assuming you flesh it out nicely) sell it for a few bucks on steam or something. Looks like it will be a lot of fun. The retro style is really appealing to me, and many games have shown it can also really convey atmosphere and a sense of nostalgia.
Wow what was this made with?

@thetwentyfourth 2nd that. It's somewhat inspired by fable but I don't feel a connection between both besides the music..

having an orchestrated piece of music in the background makes this demake funnier to me for some reason.
