mine died ofthe water temparature was above 23 degrees celscius

the lights of the aquarium and the envirement where to hot :( the do best tempartaure round 16/18 degrees celcius

@Ni83co I live in a hot climate (40 degrees +) and I use a water chiller to maintain the temperature at 16-18 degrees C. They are very effective but aren't cheap. Definitely worth the investment if you want to keep axolotls in warm to hot climates!!

No I meant cage I made a cage with a underwater part for hims since when they get to an adult they loose the gills. The cage had a 5 gallon fish tank in it with a ramp going up so he could swim. For the first half of his life I had him in a aquarium.

i have a pet tiger salamander he looks all around and it doesn`t seem too restricted to me if he can stare at me from above and behind just like my leopard gecko can and also he curls up under his hide in an S formation his head being the tip of the S although i see what you mean he has to move some part of his spine to look behind him but looking up isn`t a problem

That is not a snake for sure. This is amphibia, called axolotl, which is kind special form, what is called neotenia, which means that larvas are premature sex reproductiing. So - not a snake, becouse snake is a reptile, but axolotl - amphibia.
