Not only is this a problem, but sometimes you need to be connected to the internet and register the game before you can play it, this has been a huge problem when my mom buys a new PC game for my little brother who doesn't have internet on his PC, so when that happens we have to resort to downloading a pirated version or to crack the game in order to make the game work so my brother can play it.
@TTBurger88 Lotsa spam, and there are viruses... Just make sure you don't click on the spam, and that you scan whatever you download before opening. I'd avoid this kind of site, but it sometimes has stuff you can't easily find (like a crack for a UK retail thing patched to version whatever), so just take whatever you need and get the hell out.

Anti-piracy provisions don't really do all that much good. They take mere hours for dedicated hackers to break; the codes will be cracked, literally before the game actually makes it to store warehouses, much less a single copy is actually legitimately sold, and essentially serve no practical purpose but to drive up the cost of development for the law-abiding consumer.
This is why Bethesda chose not to put these codes into Elder Scrolls: Oblivion; they knew it was a futile act.

There's also the thing that it is "easier" to develop for consoles (not having to worry about control binding, detail scaling, yadda, yadda, yadda) which is the reason there is "consolitis" (console-to-PC porting disasters, mostly).

Well, technically I think it is legal to possess and use cracks of games that you own. But then, no-one really cares even if you don't actually own the game unless you're getting and distributing a ridiculous amount of different cracks.
I wasted $250 on games like this. When i demanded (and i mean i walked up into the store and cursed them out) i didnt get my money back. I contacted customer support and what did they say? Please try re-installing windows. So I downloaded the cracks which came with the originaly game files as well. So i spent $250 for alot of fustration.
See, this is why I tend to stay away from PC gaming in general.
BTW, it's a shame you couldn't bring back the little pop-up annotations from the original video. Those just made the video a little more worthwhile, but oh well.

My god, do they not want you to share with a freind? All it is, is a version of the exe alone that works without the disc.
See, firstly, they do this to not allow you to share with a freind unless he has the disc. Can't just install and give it back to the owner.
So...now they are trying to prevent this altogether. I heard they were ranting on used games bringing sales down abit at game stores!

Yeah, it's better because then you don't need the cd. You just click on the icon like it were built in game.

Well, technically I think it is legal to possess and use cracks of games that you own. But then, no-one really cares even if you don't actually own the game unless you're getting and distributing a ridiculous amount of different cracks.

I wasted $250 on games like this. When i demanded (and i mean i walked up into the store and cursed them out) i didnt get my money back. I contacted customer support and what did they say? Please try re-installing windows. So I downloaded the cracks which came with the originaly game files as well. So i spent $250 for alot of fustration.

See, this is why I tend to stay away from PC gaming in general.
BTW, it's a shame you couldn't bring back the little pop-up annotations from the original video. Those just made the video a little more worthwhile, but oh well.
