Thanks for the correction - I based that date on a book on the Apollo which, apparently had it wrong! Checked with a friend who was the there the day of the shooting and it was must have been December 8, 1968 (and the show I saw on December 11th). It featured Smokey Robinson & The Miracles, the Marvelettes, the Fantastic 4, the Emotions, Gladys Knight & The Pips and The Originals. It was memorable because Wanda Rogers was rushed to the hospital before the show and joined Gladys on the last #.

The exact date of the shooting was Sunday Dec. 7, 1975 and the show I saw was that the final show of that run (Wed. Dec. 10, 1975).

@mjjcng8958 This is from "Playboy After Dark", taped on February 20, 1970 and broadcasted on April 14 (KTLA-5, Los Angeles, Tuesday 9:00pm). I think the show was only shown in Los Angeles and in New York.

Saw them perform this medley at the Apollo Theatre the day after someone got shot there. (It was the last show and Smokey mainly did requests from the audience. Also on the bill were The Emotions, The Fantastic Four, The Originals and Yvonne Fair. G.C. Cameron was the M.C.
