  • When the surgeons open up Rudd on the table, they see he has no heart...

Maybe they should pull that knife out of his back as well, you'll soon know what it feels like Gillard!

  • Truth i that the reforms put in place by Hawke, Keating AND Howard saved this nation from the worst effects of the global financial crisis. All those Howard haters need to acknowledge this fact if they want to be intellectually honest.

  • Howard..... so humble.

  • Bob Brown in the senate at 2:19

  • is peter costello hiding a laugh at 1:51 ?...

  • actually like howard here.

  • Rudd =muppet here here

  • mark latham is still pissed

  • The Coalition has no idea what is about to hit them.

  • noob Suprise

  • LOL you know I watch this stuff because the commentary that goes with it is hilarious, that person who spelt "election" "elekchon" or something made me laugh, that when he got called a spastic, I laughed so hard that I was crying!!

I would never survive in the House of Representatives, I would just be laughing my head off.

  • suprisingly, i have to say good on you john for your congratulations and recognition of labors continuity. =]

  • natorenji (6 months ago)what industry/profession does your hubby work in? i assure you that some are indeed doing better off under AWA's, your a case in point. but have you thought at all about others? AWA's are harsh for the young, the unskilled and for large amounts of those who work in the service industry. it is especially vicious to women. does that bother you?

<< The blueblood of Howards vein will prove especially hard to purge I expect! It is responsible for Nuclear Power....

  • What channel was this on?

  • Its a digital-only channel. I think its only available at Sydney at the moment. But there is plan to expand to other capital cities in the near future

  • Really?

i thought it was on ABC

  • Worst treasurer in the History of Australia Deficit of 9 bill (40 Bill in today's terms) His a monarchist Compulsive liar GST AWB Tamper Workchoices Interest rates Iraq -- weapons of mass destruction And to top it all a propaganda machine, brainwashing people the world will end if you don't vote for him
  • pav023, you're a unionist right? thought so. go back to russia you commie. if you are earning the same money as you did in the 90's then you need to pull your finger out. Move on like everyone else and stop relying on others to give you a helping hand. Nothing is free in life, it certainly wasn't free under the labor govt. I can see everything the liberal govt has done in the past 11 yrs get turned back to keating days. What a disaster this will be.

  • You do realize that policy introduced by Labor is responsible for the last 11 years of economic boom? Floating the Australian dollar, removing trade tariffs, turning a fixed wage system into collective bargining. These are the reasons for the economic boom over the past 11 years and when Liberal got into power they reversed none of them. Why? Because it was good policy. Next time, try backing your opinions up with fact and not rhetoric.

  • you dinosaur

  • you repeated the same thing again

    fucking idiot

    doesnt understand reform.

try keeping things the same on a world stage

    nothing in life is easy

    and btw

WA - most of them r on AWA's and yet they vote liberal.

    tyvm, now gtfo.

  • Howard thinks families aren't worth shit. He only offers lies and promises, what a worm.

  • What the liberals think there god almighty. Give me a break, those silver tails would have a clue of working families. Quote life is ment to be tuff - John Howard as Tresury. No Wonder, when he screwed everything up.

  • Oh and Kevin the multi millionare has a clue about working families? My working family is doing fine under a Howard government. Those complaining are those spending beyond their means. Try budgeting and saving, and buy things u need, not what everybody has,it actually works u know.I am sick and tired of people who give hard working 'average' families a bad name. Get off your arse and make something of what u got already.

  • Yeh budgeting and saving. Electricity bills, Fuel prices, Council rates, grocery prices, bank expenses, etc, etc. Cost of living has dramatically risen. At least in the 90's my family could save properly. Go on holidays, etc. Now we work like crazy for what, the same wages in 96. Budgeting is hard as enough as it is, now with reduce conditions with A.W.A's. And multi corp businesses all making large profits of us average workers. Screwing us over, and tha ACCC is a joke.

  • Yes cost of living has risen, but wages has risen along with them. As for A.W.A's, I don't know your situation, but the agreement my husband is on is BETTER than what he was getting previously. It does not reduce conditions for him. Employer's are more willing to keep workers than lose them, and he was surprised himself at how easy the process was. Every person is different, and for my family the current policy is working for us. Like I said, we budget and save and we get by with no complaints.

  • what industry/profession does your hubby work in? i assure you that some are indeed doing better off under AWA's, your a case in point. but have you thought at all about others? • "It's good for me, therefore, it's good for everyone."

What a backwards and near-sighted way of thinking.

  • Thing is nobody ever mentions the state governments responsibility with living costs. What about NSW, where this desal plant they said was not going to be built(before the election) is now going ahead and it will increase water bills by 40% when it goes online. Don't the policies of the states also effect our wallets?

  • "How can anyone criticise Howard when unemployment rates have been at their lowest for 30+ years?"

Because those 'statistics' also include activities such as Green Corps, Work for the Dole, and other crap that any real person wouldn't call 'work' or 'employment', rather lazy shit and fortnightly Centerlink Payments.

If Howard was really such a King Pin, he'd listen to what the damn people have to say, instead of doing the old 'stick with the devil you know' trick.

  • Spot on. There are a number of ways to calculate the u/e rate statistics, in which governments can use to gain advantage.

  • yeah well although there is underlying unemployment rates, it is obvious that unemployment is as low as its been in a long time.

In case you havent noticed, theres a labour shortage hapeening, businesses need more workers. Hmm lets think, what does that mean, nearing full capacity? yes, which in turn means a well performing economy.

  • Kevin Rudd is like another person who sits in the crowd during major league baseball while criticisng players.

How can anyone criticise Howard when unemployment rates have been at their lowest for 30+ years??

Unemployment will rise to 30% if Rudd wins the election because his cabinet consists of former trade unionists. Taxes will rise to accomodate the people on welfare so they can also afford houses with taxpayers money of course.

  • How they can criticise is that Howard didn't create the economic circumstances to produce the low unemployment. Howard was the beneficiary of Labor economic reforms. Read Ozonomics by Andrew Charleton for the full story - highly recommend it.

  • Ozonomics is a great book, although its very biased. We had to read it for economics, and the majority of my class (in addition to my teacher) found it facoured labour.

  • melmont131990, just because Ozonomics favours Labor it doesn't necessarily follow that the book is biased. Andrew Charlton's arguments favour Labor because he is a smart man who recognises that Labor's economic record is superior. Public opinion says otherwise because the Coalition has run very hard on the economy and Labor's never disputed their narrative. Can you fault the book on any of its arguments?

  • The figures i heard in the great debate last night were 17% interest under the Hawke/Keating government but a 22% under the Fraser/Howard Government. Don't tell people to look at the big picture when no one on earth knows what will happen if Labor is elected. All you're doing is reciting the Liberal advertising.

  • I like Mr Beazley way more then Kevin Rudd. At least you knew who Beazley really is.

  • Hey Kevin Rudd, I like STRIPPERS... and being DRUNK. I also like shredding documents about a RAPE in juvi prison.

  • The labor party are morons but geez Kate Ellis is HOT!!

  • I agree kromando - Keating was the King, and Bob Hawke best PM ever. Their management wasn't able to keep up with the reforms and when the voters booted them out we had an $80b debt and a million out of work. The Libs have built on the Keating reforms responsibly. Rudd and Swan are no Keating and Hawke. Note Swan's insistence on last weeks Sunday that Labor was making no guarantees about reducing fuel, prices, housing or anything else. I'm not willing to risk a change just for the heck of it.

  • well said. why change what we have got already, yep 80 BILLION dollar debt, we now have billions of dollars in surplus. thanks so much libs well done.

  • what he fuck you talking about we got no debt, we cleared the debt that labor made numb nuts

  • yeh i know. labor fucked it up, and the liberals have fixed it. Union driven labor party fuckwits, have no idea on how to manage our economy. and the youth will vote for rudd because they think he is cool. look at the big picture you dumb fuckers. look at what the country has to lose if an alternative government with no experience fucks the economy like they did last time? what will you do when interest rates go higher than %20 like they did under the last labor government?

  • An uneducated Liberal, how amusing. Mate, the sky will not fall. Labor got the economy to where it is now, and the Libs have simply rode the wave. And it was under HOWARD that interest went over 20%. Come back when you know what you're talking about and can manage not to say f**k.

  • Didn't do anything of the sort. There was allegedly $96 billion of debt but the Coalition doesn't count in their debt figures the $100+ billion in unfunded superannuation liabilities. Plus, they sold $65 billion worth of income-generating assets. They benefited from a boom economy (not of their making) and just wasted the gains.

  • As Peter Costello descibed iheriting Labor's $80 billion debt and a million Aussies unable to find a job: "It was like cleaning up after the kids". As Ronald Reagan once put it " If you don't mention my age, I won't mention your inexperience". THINK before you throw the current good times away.

  • W.T.F damn pop-ups damn you Australian hackers.

    You guys are fucking annoying.

  • I really enjoyed this video. It's nice to see the opposition not attacking each other 24/7.

  • A pretty good maiden opening for Mr Rudd. Currently he's doing very well as conducted on the opinion polls. It may be a different story on election day. We all know that the Liberal/National Coalition done a great job with the economy, but the issue industrial relations have hurt them badly. I have no doubt this is going to be tight election. It maybe time for change...... maybe not...... time will tell.

  • I'm very impressed by this elegant, insightful, articulate political discussion.

  • Go KEV, Howard is a bum

  • howard is a moron hes the 1 that pute in gst witch he sead he was not going to do n he sends solders to iraq to go to war when theres no war to fight in iraq he is a liea n a moron he will lose this eleckshon by a land slide kevin rudd is way better then john because kevin rudd tells the truth n john is full of bull shit

  • with spelling like that you can be only one of two people

    1. a Spastic

    2. a labour voter

  • you must be the spastic to say that

  • nice comeback! did you get mum to check your spelling on this one?

  • "roodabah"...

    Spelling?

    "a labour voter"?

You mean a Labor voter, don't you?

  • oh yeah sorry, the party adopted the Americanised spelling in the 1912 as they expected Australia to follow Americian spellings. Lucky they were wrong on that prediction otherwise we would be spelling mum with a "u" instead of an "o".

  • sorry, i mean't "o" instead of "u".

    it's too early

  • No it's not too early. You are a Liberal voter aren't you moron?

  • it's not too early for what? If you're going to attack someone, please make sure you make yourself understood

  • rudd and the labor party are MORONS

  • and lucky the coalition has opted to follow American foreign policy and partake in a hopeless war, in which Americas continued presence serves as propaganda material for radical extremists to recruit impressionable young Iraqis, thus doing nothing more than prolonging anti-American sentiment in the Middle East

  • and you honestly don't think the alp would be part of the coalition of the willing? c'mon!!! Rudd even gave his blessing last week to a further 300 australian troops to be sent to the middle east, the problem was that that this info was 3 months old and troops were already deployed

  • At least Howard sounds Australia lol This guy sounds like a pom.

  • moron, "at least howard sounds Australia" u moron

  • does no one dare tell howard to shut up?

    christ he waffles!
