WoW has the most balanced pvp system out there, if you think otherwise, you cant play your class. Othet games hav too many races and classes, complicating the formula. Vanguard is a cool game tho, i cant see any game toping WoW but this one has everything i ask for in an im depth mmo.

WoW and balance are two things that don't really fit together. It's sad, but it is true.

The worst thing in WoW though was that, after Blizzard finally realized that they never really managed to balance the game, they simply removed a lot of things that made classes unique and gave a lot of the classes talents that work the same (Mana Replenishment, Magic Vulnerability debuffs).

I recently cancelled my sub to WoW. Ive done it b4 in the past. Vanguard was one of the games I left WoW for then Lotro. I went back to WoW after i found those other games need a government sized pc to run them. This time i think ive cancelled my WoW sub for good. No matter how bad the other MMORPG's are, im just real tired of WoW. DLing Vanguard atm, I remember it being an okay game exept for the lag. The SOH community is pretty good if you dont count all the religious freaks that play it.

thats wrong. i think they are mistaken for guild houses. I will tell you about 1 plot where my house was. There are a group of houses or plots, i dont know if they all boughten yet but they are directly south of khal. south across the river on the side of khal where the mordebis start.

The pvp in Vanguard is horrible. As unbalanced as WoW pvp. If you want pvp play DAOC or wait for Warhammer Online. BUT! If you want to play Vanguard without the pvp aspect, it's one of the best MMO's out there. It has the old feel of EQ1 and the new parts of other MMO's all thrown into a great game.

I have played Vanguard but I do not think I'm ready to cancel my WoW subscription just yet for me. Do not get me wrong, I like the graphics and I like the overall selection of characters/classes. The thing is, is that it did not wow me enough quite yet. Maybe when they release endgame or something like that, then I may be enticed to switch over but until then, its back to WoW.

checkout Age of conan instead..Will be much more fun :) trust me :P This will just be same boring 1,2,3,4,5 key attack as all other MMORPG's have..In conan you will be able to swing your own sword..Fire your own arrow and run down other players whuile you are mounted..

Well I checked out some footage of Age of Conan and the combat looked rather boring. Looked like mindless hacking and slashing to me. Of course perhaps it's deeper beneath surface just as Vanguard is. There are a number of elements to group combat which should make Vanguard more interesting than some other MMORPGs and Vanguard is not just about combat the Diplomacy aspect of the game is pretty interesting as well.

This game will take up 24 gigs of space. This game is in beta and the graphics and animations are being polished. Vanguard won't be a paper thin game you can hit level 50 in 1 week. I didn't say it was stealing anything from WoW, though every MMO borrows from other MMO's, which is fine. Overall the game has potential, but currently it's far less than impressive, and doesn't stand a chance against WoW. Everyone in my guild from WoW (before I quit WoW, guild beta signups)agrees, especially if they're shooting for a winter '06 release. Only about 10% of the beta invites they sent out are actually playing the beta.
