Lets say I show an apple to two children. The first child says, "this type of apple is red." The other child says, "this type of apple is neon blue." (with no impairments that would render him to view the apple in any other color than the other boy.) After being disproved, he defends himself and boldly defends his point , without any visual proof. You share something with said boy, known as cognitive dissonance.

@reefguy15 ToWhat you said makes no sense reefguy15 because the colour of an apple is something we can all prove and agree on, religion is not. That's why there are other religions, because you can neither prove or disprove it. There is evidence to suggest both that there is and isn't cause to believe in religion, you have clearly only been shown evidence from one side. Once you have seen evidence from both sides, maybe we can have a civillised discussion without derogatory language.
