@MaxwellEindhoven Zal ik es wat over dat wetenschap vertellen. Ik woond 12 jaar geleden dicht bij de berg Ararat(Waar de Ark vanNoah op strande) waar mijn vader een toeristengids was. Er was een onderzoeksteam uit Amerika gekomen om dat er vermeld was dat er houtsplinters gevonden waren op 4000 m op de berg. Mijn vader hielp hun om zo hoog te klimmen en zo vonden uiteindelijk houtsplinters maar gaven mijn vader geld om mee te werken aan het onderzoek en ontkennen dat er wel wat was

Hey, ik heb bijna exact het zelfde meegemaakt onlgans, ik was verlede week in mijn tuin het gras aan het maaien en ik heb er een beschimmelde plank terug gevonden.

Het kan bijna niet anders dat die plank van een midden 18 eeuws vrachschip moet geweest zijn, van uit de tijd dat de Dender ( dat is eern rivier ) nog door mijn tuin stroomde

I've saw Hans in London twice when I lived there, it's a shame that now I live in his home country I have less chance of seeing him perform comedy (although I believe he has been touring as a singer here) - but I guess if he did start performing here again it would be in that pesky Dutch ;)

Please don't misunderstand me - I'm not disparaging Dutch at all but it's a difficult language to learn, that's what I mean by pesky. I have a decent command of French and Italian but Dutch is a bit more difficult to grasp. Thankfully as you say, the Dutch are (with possibly only the exception of my elderly neighbour!) at a minimum, bilingual. In fact, I can honestly say that some of my Dutch friends have a better command of the English language than some of my English friends do.

Het is gewoon een feit dat op de nederlandse scholen in het voortgezet onderwijs vrijwel niet op uitspraak wordt gelet.. maar ik ben het daar dus totaal niet mee eens.
