  • wow, you think slayer sounds like this? listen to their album "Reign in Blood", LOL

  • the camera angle looks like you're playing it on the ceiling lol.

  • Cool sounds! I have the same tribe running a Korg DW8000 into it and from it is a Yamaha TX-81Z for some mean basslines then on to a Yamaha drum machine. Keep rockin!

  • was cool until about half way... got kinda boring

  • Sweet !

  • This IS KICK Butt Man, AWESOME

  • Wicked!

  • MateyDJ89 knows nothing!

  • Slayer 2 kick ass ;D but it has weak amp simulation. Try to use AmpliTube, ReValver MK III, Overloud TH1, Guitar Rig Pro 4 with cabinet simulation: Aradaz Our Cabinet Simulator 1.0.7 (very good & free VST) or Audio Ease Cabinet (also Speakerphone)

  • la verdad si realmente no puedes entender la evolucion de los sonidos y siempre te quieres quedar con el sonido de guitarra pues asi quedate con tu mente cerrada la musica electronica es para mentes evolutivas que no se quieren estancar en lo mismo....

  • I have the opportunity to buy an Electribe EA1 for $150. would this be a good addition to my rig (Roland Juno Di - Yamaha DGX220 - Ableton Live)?

  • @enthusia492 This is possibly too late, but I don't think 150 for the EA-1 is too worth it. You should, if it isn't too late, look into strong midi controller for ableton instead.

  • @estevancarlos Yeah, I already got it for Christmas. Haven't really got my head around the sequencing/recording end of it but it still works great as an analog sound module!

  • @enthusia492 hit me up if you have any questions about it. you can contact me through youtube.

  • lol

  • lmao

  • Spaniards love shitty bands like slayer

  • @UrbanCrunkMovement if this is what you think slayer is anything like... no wonder you call them shitty. they are fuckin super-natural. even public enemy has used them on millions and bum rush. besides he's talking about the name of software he used to make guitar sounds.

  • @TheScooteryt Santana is more supernatural than slayer ever will be

  • impressive emulation by you there. nice!

  • wft are u doing with the tapping?

  • no entiendo, tanto dederio ( de dedos) mejor no seria que aprendieras a tocar algún instrumento

  • vato o guey, esto se basa en el sonido electronico, sonidos de diferentes instrumentos con una sola persona tocando...me entiendes?

  • listening to this makes me want to be on a super sonic jet flying at tree top level

  • Rockin'

Honestly it sounds just like a dude thrashin' out a guitar solo on a gibson.

    I cant hear the difference.

  • we're about 3 centuries off from anyone building a guitar simulation that doesn't sound unbearably cheesey... i like FL though

  • I agree, I've owned and played plenty of guitars and keys, and the only samples that dont quite hit the spot with synth are the guitars ahaha, just doesnt sound natural at all, good mix here tho

  • samples of guitars are okay as long as it's like a loop of someone playing a real guitar... but single note samples that you're supposed to play, or guitar simulator software synths like this just sound like Super Nintendo lol which can be ok if youre going for that ig uess

  • Yeah lol ive heard some fucking awesome8 bit style mixes, so true man

  • Slayer 2's architecture sounds really smooth. The distortions and overdrives are so perfect too.. It makes me wish the reverbs in program were alot better.

  • slayer 2.5 might be able to fool some people ...it's still really obvious that it's not a real guitar but i do have to admit it doesn't have that painfully cheesey sound that slayer 1 has

  • To me it's not about fooling people.. Electronic and Dance styles sometimes use guitar-like timbres... I like them alot. I don't believe in trying to fool people... just look at Dragonforce (epic fail). If you really REALLY want to sound like a guitar, just use a guitar.

  • can you put sampels from pc to ea1?

  • no, ea1 is a synth

  • shit, its passed xmas...me wants one ...hopefully if im a good boy...,

  • their not that much just ebay one or go to Edirectory and get a ea-1 MK2 for about £200

  • Lol!!

    I was just thinking that!!

Im so broke i just spent all my money and the bank of the parents definatley wont pay out...

  • slayer on fl studio is beaaaaast!

  • Great stuff! Was grinning from ear to ear listening to this! I remember years ago a having a home-built guitar sound module but it sounded like a swarm of bees in a tin can! If you ran it through some real guitar effects though you could get some terrific sounds out of it, though this Slayer (how appropriate) unit sounds awesome! Great piece of kit and great demo, thanks!

  • LOL The refx slayer is made by my friends dad his name is jimmy he made THE hole slayer ;D

  • damn your nuts!!!

  • Coool!!

How could you just send midi data from the ea's

knobs?I thoght it uses NRPN not normal MIDI CC!

How did you do that??? There's a translator program or something?

    Thnx.

  • I feel bad for being off subject, but where did you get that tiny keyboard? It's neat.

  • its not a keyboard, its a Hardware sequencer. look it up @ wikipedia

  • Oh. Thank you.

  • i think she's talking about the ASCII keyboard :P

  • Sounds like something from a Sega coin-op. Very cool.

  • I've got one of those Electribes they fucking rule.

  • I WANT THIS EA-1!!! SELL IT TO ME!!! :D

  • how did you do THAT? this is crazy

  • he's using the EA-1 for the sequencing, the real sound is coming from the pc via midi using reFX Slayer.

  • Good job! What software do you use it with? thanks. EA-1 Rocks!

  • is it just sending notes to floops' slayer?

  • Insane!!!

  • Holy f*ck! This preset is awesome. How did you done it?! this guitar sounds like real not like reFX`s

  • Yeah, awesome job dude. You've inspired me! I'm going to go dust off my Electribes and use them for an album I'm currently recording for my label in the UK. And this is crazy but I just realized I have the unit you're using in this vid! That's a good feeling, after just having wished so badly it were mine... lol. Peace!

  • AWESOME JOB MAN!

  • I enjoy a lot of the work you do with the electribe, but this isn't one of your best. The drums were too slow and guitar in typical rock songs don't repeat that much. Good idea though.

  • Tghe Audio in functions are one of the best bits about the electribes. I got the ER1 and the ES1 :o)

  • how did he connect dis to PC? what cables do i need? thanks.

  • dumnat - just use midi cables. Does your Soundcard have midi in and out ? If not buy a midi box (usually USB) and then ling the electribe to that (midi in & midi out). Hope this helps. :o)

  • if I remeber right, the electribe has a USB connector. if you have a standard pci soundcard there are also some gameport adapters avaiable. But if you are seriously into digital music production I would consider buying a ASIO soundcard because of latency issues. The models of the Terratec phase series are good for startup and are also equipped with MIDI Plugs

  • dude that was awsome!!!!!!!!!

    im impressed.

where can i get a ea 1 these days?

  • Awesome! I never thought of using the Electribe to sequence other sounds. I'll keep this in mind.

  • nicely done!

  • oh yeh,the 303 is not a sampler....its a polyphonic synth (FM) sequencer....i use to have a 307....slightly more patches....but more or less the same....

  • is that slayer off fl studio...?

  • What program do you use to control the synth?

  • i have almost every sampler.... my favorite is the mc-303 groovebox.

  • mc 303 isnt a sampler u div

  • mc 303 was a bust. it had to be the main sequencer you couldnt run it any other way. plus to make things worse the resonance knobs were crap! i used to always overload it cause it couldnt handle all my arpeggios. hated that damn thing thank god for computers.

  • How about the MC-808? I was thinking of getting one. I use Cubase, would it work well with Cubase for recording?

  • Greate!!!

    すごすぎです。

  • Just wondering do you have a gear list of all the stuff you have? It seems like every video you have has some new gadget in it.

  • There are not so many gears... I often visit used-synth shop in Tokyo. I sold Yamaha MW10 for 12,000 yen (about $100), and then bought EA1 for 10,000 yen. Not a bad deal...

  • @Denkitribe Koenji?

  • Great work!

  • Wow, this is a good example of something other than techno on an Electribe! Very nice.

  • Creative use of the device...i like it

  • So the ER is sequencing sampled guitar notes on the PC?

  • Not sampled sounds. ReFX Slayer is physical-modeling guitar plug-in.

  • Well played.

  • Yeah sounds great ;) and it looks like u have some fun :D
