Since Motorola has said they will not release android 2.2 or 2.3 on the XT720, technically a class action lawsuit could force them to do so, as they advertise HD Video, and as of yet, no XT720 can record smooth HD video. However Android 2.2 is a much refined and much faster OS, so this should allow smooth video. Who's ready to sue Motorola?
This is a great phone, but the closed bootloader sucks.
Motorola, your closed bootloader policy is a bid disadvantage. We like the openness, we want to be able to change roms, kernel, etc, on our android device.
Your devs can't keep up with the android releases neither do you let us make our own, by locking down the phone.
I'll be selling my Milestone soon and wont advise anybody to by Motorola phones while you keep this crappy policy.
