  • Kamikaze is the easiest way to say: "I am a real idiot".

  • @manolino1969 GOD Bless the USA is actually the easiest.

  • BANZAIi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 1:29

    the ending is brilliant

  • Нужно отдать должное мужеству этих юношей,которые в 15-16 лет,без колебания шли на смерть.Мало кто в зрелом возрасте на это решится. Настоящие воины!!!!!!

  • ALL HAIL TO THE BRAVE JAPANES !!!!

  • Hi!

anybody knows what's the title of the song? thanks! :-)

  • What's the second song in this?

  • Nothing is more beautiful than an honourable end to an honourable life.

    Hail to the Kamikaze!

    Hail to Nippon!

  • @ElysiumFilms stupid fucking comment just sayin..just sayin

  • Death is so light like a feather and honour is so heavy like a mountain

  • Did Lan Mandragoran tell you that?

  • Yasuo Kwahara wrote a great book!!!

  • Great video and strong music !!!!!! Perla.

  • Great video and strong music!!!! Perla.

  • こうして客観的にみると恐ろしや大和民族。

    周辺諸国が神経質になるのもわかる気がする。

  • Translation:

"Japanese race and thus objectively look at the horror.

I also get to know the neighbors nervous."...

    hm....

  • The most impresive thing of japs is the honor to their master( empreror ) they sacrificed for their empreror and their families to honer them with their lives(they had balls)Am Greek and we had our honor too with differend kinds. e.g At the micrasiatic wat at 1922 with the turks on of our colonels surrendered his force about 2000 men and another in same rank couldnt accept it and he charged alone with his sword in the battle field alone.... he could stand this and he died honered (he had balls)

  • fighting alone in battlefield??? what a brave man!

  • Wrong facts #2

If Japanese armies didn't show up, you guys are still slaves

Maybe you're right..Malayans were slaves owned by white people on that time ... but wait a minute.. when Japanese armies showed up, did they make my people more richer and more comfortable?

They like to beheaded, raped, tortured and killed many of my people!

Please give me any example Japanese armies makes my people more than just slaves.

  • If you live in Malaya on that time, one small mistake in front of Japanese armies.. your head will be history...

  • 0432, you said that "At that time Malaysians were slaves owned by white people. Admit it.

If Japanese armies didn't show up, you guys are still slaves. Period."

    Wrong facts #1

Did you know, at that time, my country name is Malaya, not Malaysia..Malaysia as a unified state did not exist until 1963...

  • I live in Malaysia. On 1942, Singapore was the capital of Malaya. So, if they have conquered Singapore, it means they have successfully conquered whole Malaya.

Oh man, Japanese armies on that time is really cruel! They like to beheaded, raped, tortured and killed many of my people!

I don't know what will happen to my country if they still didn't surrender...

  • They probably get riddled w/ bullets when they fly up to the ship... How could anyone control planes in that condition?

  • @Fullperson Anti-Aircraft guns were only as accurate as the gunner. And with enough aircraft coming at a ship or task force, some got through. Secoundly, the rounds could hit a plane and depending on where it hit, wouldn't bring them down, or alter their flight path.

  • @Fizwalker true enough, one things for sure, it takes some balls to do this

  • @Fullperson I can respect that.

  • @Fullperson If you ever get a chance to visit Hawaii, you should take a tour of the USS Missouri. Between the rear main turret and the aft superstructure, there's a spot where a Kamikaze hit the ship. The pilot of the plane was recovered (He died in the crash.) and given a full military funeral at sea with honors. The damage dealt by the Kamikaze is still there too, aside from the scorched deck planking that is.

  • @Fizwalker will definitely visit some day, thanks for the hint

  • Then Kamikazes loyalty to their country is unlike any other that I've ever seen. That's for sure.

  • bloody human bombs i am half british but still....... sad!

  • yeah!!!!

  • No wonder we all seek peace.

  • i read the book, it's good but i enjoyed Samurai! more because of all of the action in it.

  • Poland have too a Suicide formations .

The name is " Living torpedoes "

The idea for creating the human torpedo unit was very similar to the famous Japanese kamikaze pilots — males and females willing to sacrifice their lives to defend their homeland. Poland used this units in September Campaign in 1939.

  • Very interesting.

¿Do you have more info about this units of "living torpedoes"?

    Thanks.

  • World War II — September 1, 1939, the day the German invasion of Poland began. It is now difficult to estimate how many people volunteered; most probably there were as many as 4700 men and some 150 women.

At this theme is very small information.

  • Japan had a suicide torpedo bombs too. They also had divers that carried a bamboo stick with a bomb at the tip to sink ships as well as runners with same weapon to destroy tanks. You could also say charging into an enemy bunker with only a samurai sword is suicidal.

  • @jelen10 Italy had them along with the Japanese. I also want to say that the Brits created a version too... But... I'm a little fuzzy on that last one.

  • como se le puede llamar a este acto servilismo patriotismo fanaticos del regimen en su tiempo mostraron mucho valor

  • Thank you and bless you! for more truths and facts about the history of the real global thugs and murders please watch "Zeitgeist" and "Terrostorm".

  • The winner writes history! The yanks and the british and co. wrote this fake history! As usual they make themselves sacred and brave!

The Japanese and the Germans fought against super powers not prisoners in Guantanamo and Abo Ghareeb!

The weakest country in wwii Poland had air force and anti air force: compare all the crusade military arsenal, logistics, collaborators, sanctions, embargoes, UN resolutions ,confiscations of charity assets all this against a couple of Mujahidin! Shame on you!

  • best comment so far! 1+

  • @surn1970 Sure....Oh and you forgot the third member of the Axis powers, Italy. Might actually look into reading history instead of accusing, well, the world, of creating falsehoods. Japan was a major power in the pacific, Germany was a major power, and what we think of as superpowers... Didn't really exist. If there were any, they'd have been the British Empire and the USSR. The USA was a major power prior to World War II, but wasn't considered a superpower until afterwards.

  • Rest in peace all kamikaze's

  • People honour!

  • 2007 MOVIE It is the war begun to liberate Asians from the whites to foreigner's everywhere. This is truth.

  • It wasn't that Japan had already committed to controlling the Pacific, and had planned the simultaneous attack of the Philippines at the same time they attacked Pearl Harbor. Give me a break! Learn your history before you spout your knee-jerk anti-American drivel.

  • kamikazes eroicos soldados

  • me parece que es una crueldad la guerra, porque siempre las personas involucradas pagan un alto costo, osea es injusto e ingenuo.

  • sweden, my country ? i did know that they did let the nazi's pass sweden so they could come to finland, and that's a shame.. but i didnt know that u sad

  • @ackesnack Wasn't it the USSR that invaded Finland? And wasn't Sweden neutral while Norway was invaded by Germany?

  • asuheuhsa LOL

  • It's just the bushido code, used and exploited for war purposes..don't blame the japanese, we all have crimes on our countries history (for ex. fascism, here in italy).

But anyway, kamikazes are brave and honourable.

  • so, they did it with honor ?

  • The kamikaze were typically young men aged 17 - 25. They were recruited from the best schools with promising lives ahead of them had they lived. Most of them knew Japan was going to lose the war. They gave their lives in an effort to save the lives of their families at a time when US bombers were destroying 66 cities. They were also trying to save their culture. Sweden was supplying the Nazis with high quality iron ore. Think about that next time you question somebody's honor.

  • lol !

  • after kamikaze pilots died, they could be living like a god in the yasukuni shrine and that's why japanese didn't hesitate to die for the emperor.

  • i love japan, and would love to see this being made into a movie cause we need to know what was going through the minds of the kamikazes especially how kuwahar survived.

  • Kuwahara's story is indeed one that needs to be told on the big screen.

  • you know what this is disturbing

  • yüce insanlar saygıyla anıyorum.....

  • ackesnack, they not was forced "directly", but in serving the Emperor they died like Kamikaze. Respect for their noble souls, that are living in Yasukuni now.

  • really great movie, i feel sorry for the kamikaze pilots. Some of the was forced to do it. But it was effective, The ships had no chans to shoot down the planes before they crashed into them...

  • ackesnack, kamikaze was not die for japanese. that was rather honorable because they could fight for the emperor. now they are living in the yasukuni shrine.

  • Have you been to Japan? If you hate Japan, Japanese people and this video make you shick,, You shouldn't watch.

Be proud of those men. Peace for Japanese.

  • what is the name of this song? please answer me

  • It's called "Battle Of Armageddon" by Dan Graham

  • tenno heika banzai

  • This book sheads a whole new light on what the kamikaze pilots endoured. Very well written! You will not be able to understand the mind of a kamikaze without reading this book. Movie please!

  • I want to know when and if this will be made into a movie? It was an incredible book!

  • Negotiations are ongoing for the screen rights. Don't give up hope yet. There are many people who similarly want this made into a movie. I agree with you... it is an incredible book.

  • This was one of the most intriguing and insightful books I have read. What an amazing and heart breaking true story!

  • Although some of the Japanese were dubious of their leaders, and the emperor, they chose to fight anyway. Kuwahara endured basic training so brutal, that nine men who trained with him, chose to commit suicide that suffer through it. That Kuwahara endured tells you something of his character, regardless of what you think of the Japanese and the atrocities the committed during the war.

  • true soldiers 5*

  • I'am specifically talking about japanese pilots and all japanese heroes who prefered to sacrifice themselves than accepting the idea that their nation could be devastated in every way by the enemy. Methods might be questionable, but not their love for their country, not the emperor.

  • yes..the same bunch that attacked Pearl Harbor like cowards, raped and pillaged Nanking and murdered phillipino civillians....and what about the civillian construction workers executed on wake Island? So many British, Dutch, Aussie, American troops beheaded in the camps...Japanese people are not the blame but their military was and is.

  • Shut up all of you and make silence. Even if they were the agressores, the brave and determiend airmen of japan's air force deserve respect from entire mankind.

To sacrfice yourself in such a powerfull way in a moment where your nation might dissappear forever, means HONOR and LOVE, not madness or brainwash as some people want to qualify them like.

  • i dont like what hitler did at second world war and all know that japan was in the same lane with germans but i respect kamikaze and i thing that they were heroes of second world war!SORRY FOR MY ENGLISH GUYS!!

  • props to these guys for defending their country

  • what's the name of the music that's being played ?

  • Thanks for noticing the music. I thought it was pretty cool too. It was perfect music for what we wanted. It's called "Battle Of Armageddon" by Dan Graham

  • Ever try to take your own life?,it is not that easy. Our instinct to survive is almost impossible to override.I am not too keen on there conduct during the war, especially incidents like Nanking but I do feel some pity for the young men who got brainwashed/brutalized during there training.Try digging a hole in a dirt road, lay there with a 500lb.aircraft bomb next to you,and wait till a tank rolls over then smack the top of the bomb with a hammer.Figuring that took some guts.

  • Omg...You human...how could you say these are the most greatest man in the world ?? They are trying to expand their empires...that is not a terrorism ?? my Grandma has told me..she remembered since she was a lil kid...Japan are trying to execute peoples who tries to get information about the japan...and they execute really terribly..I don't know how you call them as brave.....honour for expanding the empire ? That is the most shittest. Live is more valuable then the most fuckest honour/glory.

  • russians also gave order to their soldiers to kill themselves. who did not, was sent to die in siberia.. fucking allies...

  • brave warriors

  • After seeing this...... I'm sort of a shame of calling my studios Kamikaze Entertainment. I might rename it.

  • Deluded lunatics. All of them were brainwashed by the coward Imperial regime at that time. The Bushido gave birth to these suicidal acts. These same rituals were the foundation of the Japanese acts during the invasion of China, especifically during the Rape of Nanjing. Something to forget.

  • u are braiwashed by jew/american propaganda. boys fougth for their home. and war was provoked, by rassist empires as UK and US!

  • It doesnt' matter who initiated the war, either way you loose. At least during the occupation the US troops didn't rape and kill Chinese like you did in Manchuria, they help to reconstruct your country. Also it was Japan's decision to bomb PH with the result of two cities evaporated in 1945. You paid the consequences of backing up Hitler and company. If China attacks with Nuclear weapons, don't beg for American mercy. There's going to be none.

  • Tens of thousands of young men were prepared to die...tens of thousands did ! they just werent sat in planes....salut!my bollocks..drugged up cowards.

  • yes... salut! japanese kamikazes, they were the bravest warriors world has never seen before and will never ever more see another ones like they were. people you'd better not mess with japan, and im not japanese, just take it as a hint from a friend.

  • really emotional video, i like it a lot :)

  • The book is even better. Most who read it pass it along or recommend it to someone else so they can discuss it. Kuwahara's story it truly quite amazing.

  • Whats the title of the music??? very nice clip btw...

  • Thanks for noticing the music. I thought it was pretty cool too. It was perfect music for what we wanted. It's called "Battle Of Armageddon" by Dan Graham

  • 神風を吹かせるためには大和魂が必要なんだ。アメリカには無い精神です。

  • salute..... kamikaze pilots

  • That was nice music and history. It made me emotional for a moment.

  • i wonder if the germans were brave enough to do this for the fuehrer

  • yep the germans also had suicide squadrons with their navy though

  • true. but the whole idea of suicide pilots are japanese. both the japanese and the germans invented small rocket planes which carried more explosives that would be released from the belly of a larger plane but the war had ended before they were deployed.

  • wrong, have u heard of the ohka? its japan's suicide rocket, that was carried by a betty and dropped off from a close range of the ship. It has destroyed at least one destroyer and a frieght.

  • Yeah I just looked it up. You're right. The Japanese also were inventing one of the early stages of fighter jets. The Germans already had them during the end of the war..I forgot what they were called though.

  • The german jet planes were the ME 262 and Arado 234 and the japanese prototype was the Kikka. The kikka was a smaller and lighter version of the ME 262. any more questions?

  • they also have something where they ram their planes into other planes usually bombers

but they were not supposed to kill themselves but to try to survive and fight anyother day

  • well that was the only way to destroy the bombers at first. But then the army got better planes and the zeros pilots knew how to take out B-29's the problem was that the B-29s were well armored and they were faster compared to other bombers, hard to intercept. I know at that at least one jap pilot survived a ramming collision with a B-29, his plane suffered minor damages, but the bomber's wing was on fire thus it crashed. at least 117 B-29s went down from Japanese defense forces.

  • Pearl Harbor was attacked in Dec of 1941, or to round it off, 1942. The first suicide attacks occured in early 1945. So, give or take, 3 years.

  • You did a wonderful job gtoyn. As is obvious from his profile, WTCTribute is a rabidly flag-waving American who will automatically put down anything that he (or she) feels glorifies America's enemies - past or present.

  • In fact, this trailer inspired me to get the book, and it doesn't dissapoint, very moving.

  • Thanks for your comments. I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the book. It seems that everyone who reads it makes similar comments.

  • So did you make this yourself?

On a side note, I'm surprised that they haven't made a movie about it yet

  • The author has had several production companies contact him regarding rights. However, nothing has materialized yet. I agree, it would make for a fantastic movie.

  • This was by far one of the best books I've ever read

  • th gull-wing plane is american corsair

  • maybe corsair.

  • a Japanese soldier in the 23rd Regiment of the 18th Division, published in Tokyo Asahi Shimbun on August 4, 1984: "When we were bored, we had some fun killing Chinese. Buried them alive, or push them into a fire, or beat them to death with clubs, or kill them by other cruel means."

  • 25.000 Brazilians soldiers conquered the Italy, err...alone. Of course that Italy isn't sure a thing, but whit only 25.000 mens, it was a quite formidable.

  • When will the world finally perceive the Kamikaze as the embodiment of Christ-like mission and the Enola Gay like the Roman soldiers having the mission to crucify? The number of mockers flocking the Christ is numerous.

  • Japanese Kamikaze is no nonsense that we can talk about easily. Instead, it's something that we have to reflect upon deeply. They are definitely the people who can neither commit such atrocities as maliciously propagated even now, nor can be born from such cowardly atrocious military.

  • this all seens familar it looks like the clips are from Victory at Sea

  • Today of 60 years ago, many died in their pains and cries. Men, women, children, were killed with bayonets, swords, bamboo sticks... their bodies sexually mutilated. They were murdered by the Japanese Monsters of Frankeinstein (japmof), in the beautiful ancient city of Nanjing, China. In that winter, at Nanjing, Japanese army massacred over 300,000 civilians and POWs, raped at least 20,000 women

  • 天皇陛下は神の子故に日本民族は神聖なり。下等支那犬は天罰を受けるなり。神風は神州日本を守護する最終手段なり。天皇陛下万歳日本民族万歳神風万歳!

  • CANADIANVOICE.Please do not belittle the sacfifice made by the Allied forces fighting the Japanese quite a lot of them did die for their Countrie including many brave Canadians,Try and remember them.

  • The Japanese took 100,000 men prisoner in Singapore. Many had just arrived and had not fired a bullet in anger. 9,000 of these men died building the Burma-Thailand railway. The people of Singapore fared worse. Many were of Chinese origin and were slaughtered by the Japanese. After the war, Japan admitted that 5000 had been murdered, but the Chinese population in Singapore put the figure at nearer 50,000.

  • Watch YouTube "Children of Japan, Pre-WWII (1941)" to glimpse how evil were Japanese and "The Fake of Nanking (3-1)(subbed)" to see how fake stories are being forged. Search also in internet "May the Rising Sun Shine on Your Heart" and "In Defense of Japan's Case".

  • The Japanese were the most bravest soldiers I figure in WWII at least they were willing to die for their country. Canada had to accept over 250,000 draft dodgers from the states during WWII

  • And P.s Japan did infact have a smaller army then China sorry I made a mistake on China's Army it was 14,000,000 Japan only had 9,000,000 and still managed to take most of asia. The reason that many were slaughtered was because no one wanted to fight the Japanese, Especially England who knew they were invading them. Like seroiusly The Japanese Invaded in 1931!!!! PEOPLE HAD PLENTY OF TIME TO HELP OUT. BUT WHO DIDN"t. FUCKING KNOW SHIT BEFORE YOU SAY SHIT

  • MITSUBBISHI109 China at the time had 4th biggest army with 5,700,000 troops the problem was is that their leader Chaing Ki Shek (S.E) was an idiot who abandoned his troops and ran to taiwan. And Singapore was defended by british troops. But since Britian knew that Singapore was going to be invaded they pulled out to save casualties of their own troops. Know shit before you say shit

  • Great trailer, Gary, except where's your nice book cover? I read Kamikaze Diaries by Emiko Ohnuki-Tierney, an academic book a bit tough to get through, but really sad. I'll have to get your book.

  • Thanks for your kind words. I agree, the cover should be in it. Duh. But it has become a little viral after we posted it, so we chose not to add it and thus, lose our view number.

  • There were rituals or ways in which Kamikaze pilots were sent off. They were given the flag of Japan or the Rising sun flag (Japanese naval ensign) with inspirational and spiritual words, Nambu pistol or katana and drank sake before they took off generally. It is also stated that they flew around once or more the mountain or anything with spiritual significance for the pilots and then they would set out on straight course to the target. It was highly patriotic and/or nationalistic procedure.

  • we dont afraid of everything..what ever it cost..

  • where do you get the song

  • I thought it was pretty cool, and it was perfect music for what we wanted. It's called "Battle Of Armageddon" by Dan Graham. We bought the rights to it.

  • what ever might be the cruelty done by the Japanese, this video brings infront of our eyes the unparalleled valor of young patriotic pilots. The back score was unmatchable, perfect blend.

  • did u made this?

  • Yes, I made this. I have a background in video. If you would like me to produce a video for me, let me know.

  • idk why japanese did that???

  • Remember what they did to the Chinese people, remember Pearl habour, remember what they did to the Allied POWS,remember unlike the Germans they have never said sorry. REMEMBER.

  • I'm of the allied forces, but I think Japan is a great nation! God Bless Japan, regards from America!

  • The real heros are all the Allied soldiers airmen and sailors that fought against the Japanese.

  • Hero? Hero my ass!!! More like jap bastard! Try American hero. They obviously couldnt fly a plane worth shit so they just flew into things. What dumbasses!

  • a pilot or a man who give his life for the glory and honor of his nation is a true patriot and he die with all the honor an glory he deserve.

  • I agree with you at least they had dignity, something that is rare nowdays

  • RESPECT!!!

A soldier who gives his life that way is an honorable man!!

  • HISATSU!!!!!!!!!

  • "We tried to live with 120 percent intensity, rather than waiting for death. We read and read, trying to understand why we had to die in our early twenties. We felt the clock ticking away towards our death, every sound of the clock shortening our lives. "

—Irokawa Daikichi, Kamikaze Diaries: Reflections of Japanese Student Soldiers

  • Everytime i hear, read or see videos bout Kamikaze i can't help but admire their bravery, it's more than a normal person could understand.I admit they have committed war crimes but it's not only them even americans commited those inhumane acts - the problem is very little is written about it.Kamikaze pilots - bravery so rare.A true Samurai indeed.

  • これ、最後の方で突入してるの流星か?逆ガルのやつ。

  • この映像からだと翼の形が流星と違うような気がするが、流星なら非常に貴重な映像。

  • Please translate into English!

  • bisamidinate said,

Is the airplane attacked at the end the Ryusei(Aichi B7A Ryusei) ? What is an inverted gull-wing airplane ?

If it is the Ryusei, it is valuable image though thinks that the shape of the wing is

different from the Ryusei when it is from this image.

  • The modern day terrorists learned from the Japanese

Kamikaze suicide attacks and crashed the plane into

the America's World Trade Centre Buildings.

  • Because there are the people who cannot tolerate the other culture like you, terrorists are born.

    Kamikaze is not the cause.

  • he had plenty of time, but he stayed and died with and for his people.

    ------right!

  • i think their suicide is not just a losing side. It also shows their love and dedicated to their emperor. This might be the same as SAMURAI warriors..THEY DIE WITH HONOR WITHOUT SHAME

  • Like, is this real?

  • fuck, its real !!.....

  • again the nazis had their own suicide brigades at the end of the war this is common tactic of the LOSING SIDE

  • Just as it is with America right now in the Mid East...

  • the japenese are willing to die for there country and people no matter what it takes...

  • Fight like a man and die like a man.

  • the japanese are simply different, the general is not stupid. they wanted to sacrifice them

  • brave, but this brave is waste of life...

    japanese general is very stupid.

generals in american are very excellent, respect them.

  • I thought this was a new movie... then at the last I found it's a book. Too cool.

  • Whats famous about killing yourself especially when the tactic was a failure and waste of resources.. Like TET in vietnam A total failure for the north vietnamese, LIke the battle of the BULGE a wasted effort by hitler. Both were suprise attacks but they both ultimately FAILED..

  • The Kamikaze tactic wasnt a failure. it was very effective against the US warships plus nearly all of the japanese planes used were obselete. ofcourse its sad to waste all those young lives, but my point is that it was very effective. as for the Bulge it failed only because the german army ran out of fuel, not because of the their strategy.

  • This is true...the only real miracle of WWII was that Germany was able to hold out for five and a half miserable years against 51 Allied nations and still put up one hell of a fight right to the end. Hitler could have run if he'd wanted...he had plenty of time, but he stayed and died with and for his people.
