I have a ball myself. Its male, a little over 4.5 feet long now and 4 years old. Yours also looks male. (smaller head, not very big) Have you tried small rats yet? They are pretty fun. Be careful though, they are smarter/meaner than mice. You may want to stun/suffocate first ;).

Nice little video.  My ball has been used to hiding in a large tupperware shoe box with a hole in it. He pokes his head out to catch the rats and then strikes from above. Always effective.
