You can't take no for an answer! You can't take no for an answer! You can't take no for an answer! No, no, no. Whenever there's a dream worth a-dreaming (dreaming!) And you wanna see that dream come true (dream come true!) There'll be plenty people talking "Forget all about it" Say "it isn't worth the trouble-- All the trouble that you're going through!" (it ain't worth it-NO!) Well, what can you do?
Whatcha gonna do when the dimes get tough and the world's treating you unkind? You gotta hang on to your optimistic outlook And keep possession of your positive state-of-mind (state of mind, state of mind, state of mind, state, state of mind!) You can't take no for an answer! (You can't take no) You can't take no for an answer! (No, no, no, No!) You can't take no for an answer! No no no
Remember it's Ronnie Crawford, Bernard's son, that produces the show. That and I don't think that Bernard even saw them the first time. I think it was just his assistant. You can see that Ronnie is obviously interested though.
I agree. If the first three Muppet movies; The Muppet Movie, The Great Muppet Caper, and The Muppets Take Manhattan, along with any other Muppet movie that were released years later would air on ABC Family, ratings WOULD go sky-high!!!
Them first three were part of my childhood. From 1984 to 1992, they were the only three Muppet movies that fans of The Muppets at the time could watch. Other then that there were also some great hour-long television specials of The Muppets that aired too.
1985: And it culminated with the Kermit/Piggy wedding scene in Muppets Take Manhattan and the family Christmas gathering of all the Muppet shows--Sesame Street, The Muppet Show (w/ Muppet Babies in a cameo via a home movie reel), and Fraggle Rock--just before Jim left us all.
To both 1985Nebraska and CommenSence2008; I agree 100% that if The ABC Family Channel did air all these Muppet movies, especially the first three which were part of my earliest moments of childhood memories, the rating statistics for ABC Family would really be high for that channel. At least air them all in chronological order and then see if they'll get good ratings. If ratings do good, air each of them once a month or every two-three months.
@ShadowChanceSassy The Hub airs Fraggle Rock almost every day and has the Muppet films on a regular basis...it even had Christmas Toy on Christmas Eve,
@ShadowChanceSassy Well even though Disney owns the Muppets today, they actually don't own the movie "The Muppets take Manhattan." So they probably won't air it on their channel (besides the DVD of this movie is always easy to find and always fairly cheap). Maybe for hype for the upcoming film Disney will have one of their channels be it ABC family or Disney channel air some Muppet stuff. That would be cool.
This, The Muppet Movie, and The Great Muppet Caper all use to air on either TBS or TNT back in the 90s.
Since Disney owns ABC Family Channel, I'm surprised that they don't air the Muppet movies on that channel. I mean last time I saw This one, it did air on ABC Family, which was back in either 2002, '03, or '04. But anyways if ABC Family would air all the Muppet movies, ratings would go sky-high for their channel, since most, if not all, Muppet fans will be watching them.
I'd say it was in '04 when they showed it, that was the year Disney finally got a hold of the Muppet Show crew. But I agree, they really should show the Muppet movies more often.
@CommonSence2008 disney have ruined the muppets, watch the classics kids on youtube and stop funding the disney corporation. they shouldn't be allowed Marvel comics either.
@Jez32uk Disney actually has very little in terms of creative rights over the muppets. The main cause of shift in style was due to the death of Jim Henson. If you pay attention you'll notice a stark contrast between the movies and shows released prior to his death, and those released after. That being said, as an avid muppet fan I'm very pleased with how their new movie turned out.
@devildogwhite i was just ranting at a figurehead. Muppets Christmas Carol was fantastic and that was released after Jim's death, similarly Treasure Island was a good one too, muppets in space and wizard of Oz were just plain awful as was it's a wonderful merry muppet xmas or whatever it was called.
Anybody notice that one of the places they go is Bernard Crawford's and see Ronnie Crawford? They go to the EXACT same place later and Ronnie and Bernard Crawford agrees to produce the show. SO, the question becomes, what changed?
Gosh I wish the Electric Mayhem can begin their US-Canadian Concert Tour this year, besides Dr Teeth is one of the coolest band leaders I've ever seen in my life and yes I agree, this song does sound like a Sesame Street Song.
