I think TG USA has a lot of pause/silence in between the hosts' conversation,that makes it boring.Otherwise if the hosts work on their 'camaraderie' and have 'real' sense of humor,it will click.

Love 'Top Gear'! - The new American version seems a bit awkward; it was odd for them not to acknowledge the existence of the original in the debut episode, and their debt to it. They're taking ideas wholesale from the original, and they should have been upfront about it.

Actually the reason Top Gear UK is so good is because the BBC are hands off with the production. Basically the BBC is a publicly funded network and they have to fund anything that the public like.

Most networks will not be associated with things like nudity or making fun of places like Iraq. What Jeremy, James and Richard do though gets a lot of fanfare from the public and the BBC cant cancel it.

There are not many countries you could make a program like Top Gear.

TG USA has the UK producers and writers...the hosts need to develop a relationship
