  • This concept will work nice for an improvised shot gun. I think it will be nice if made with the size of a sawn-off but with a choke, so the shot dont spread too much. Thank you for the video. You are one of those rare persons that do it without caring if its illegal or not, because you know your rights! Nice! :-)

  • @AdlerMow It isn't so much that I don't care what the law is... it's more that I have confidence in my own interpretation of what the law says. Certain folks I know, who on one hand seem like walking talking legal dictionaries, were far too ready to give up their rights beyond what any existing law requires, just to play it safe. I did not like that attitude. We need to assert ourselves and play a role in defining what our rights are.

  • @Fuzzybeanerizer You americans are lucky. Here in Brazil the gun ownership for civilians is almost banned! One crappy .38 special revolver cost as much as a good motorbike, wold say $1500 or so! And we cant own anything better than .380 acp. One shotgun can cost up to $8000! Carry is forbidden, but ony to the poor civilian, as the very rich and the authorities "need" (can pay to cut the red tape) them for self-defence. For a carry to be allowed you need to justify why you need it! Bastards!

  • Is the firing pin in this open bolt pistol stationary? And If it is does that mess with the shell ejector?

  • @10mthomas It is a fixed firing pin. It causes no problems with ejection.

  • great work!!! i never saw the bolt move :)

  • Wait, you MADE this?

BTW, isn't it difficult to own any open bolt weapon these days?

  • @EricsTechTalk Yes, I made 2 of them over 3 years ago. I have not experienced any trouble owning them, and never asked anybody for a "letter" or other permission to do so, either. Congress has never passed any law against open-bolt firearms as such. Remember, our government is one of enumerated powers, not enumerated rights.

  • @EricsTechTalk Actually, open bolt is a legal BATF definition, not a mechanical one, as I (as can he)

load a mag while the bolt is "closed". The round compresses the mag spring, and when the bolt is cocked, the mag still is in position to strip the round by the bolt. For these types weapons, having the mag not fully inserted is the safety. My opinions are not those of the poster.

  • lol looks like an oversized luger

  • Awsome !

  • isnt open bolt innacurate compared to a closed bolt? i guess if u were worried about a cook off then open is better but i think for a target pistol i would use a closed bolt for that little bit of extra accuracy

  • @halopartyboy Well you are right, there are accuracy problems... mostly due to the pre-firing "jump" amplifying any inconsistency in your grip. Also locktime can never be as quick as a closed-breech gun. But my guns were an experiment to find out more about those things, and actually they do shoot fairly well.

  • How does one go about making one's own weapon?

  • @therepth Legally speaking, in the USA you only need to comply with your state's handgun laws... probably get it registered after it is done, maybe get a "permit to purchase" before you assemble it into firing condition. Well for rifles, in most states you just build it, no hassles involved.

  • @Fuzzybeanerizer Damn, wish I knew how to make one then. Would be useful for self defense.

  • @Fuzzybeanerizer how about the uk??

then again, considering the laws we have its pointless asking!!!!

its only illegal if you get caught!! lol

  • Whats the point in this? i dont get it

  • @AllforPanic The point of the video, you mean? The point is to demonstrate what I said in the description... that the tapered chamber keeps the round from falling out even though the bolt is open up until you pull the trigger. I'm hitting the gun like that to demonstrate that the round does not fall out easily. Another purpose of the video is to show the rapid functionong of the bolt mechanism, for those who are interested in such things.

  • Best way to get rid of all the stuff needed for an hammer to work.

  • ??????

  • how does that work

  • i like it... very ingenuitive (SP?), anyway ... if you felt up to it it would be mighty easy to use the same basic design and make it a repeater ... what your opinion?

  • The design would need to be arranged quite a bit differently to make a place for the magazine, also enlarged to handle .22 Long Rifle ammo so magazines would be available... this only shoots .22 Short, and not many magazines around for that. But the main thing is that if it was made as a semi-auto it would then become too easy to convert to full-auto which is illegal in the USA. I intentionally stayed far away from that.

  • @6dnddice Non-grandfathered, open bolt, mag fed semi = machine gun of childkilling destruction in the eyes of the ATF.

  • @darknal87 YOUR A FUCKING TWAT NO IT IS NOT

  • @TheHazPlopsta yeh it is it prob says diff name on the box cuz of it prob being airsoft now stfu and fk ur mom and dad and dont comment on this

  • @darknal87 Learn to speak you orangutan, I didn't understand a word of that shit.

  • damn thats fuckin sweet! nice job ;D

  • did you make it or is you profile name named after it?

  • I made it.

  • Why is he hitting it on a table? that bolt probably has an extractor.... lol

  • Actually the bolt does NOT have an extractor. The answer to your question is, I'm hitting it on the table because it is an open-bolt gun and I want to demonstrate that the cartridge will not fall out of the chamber during normal handling.

  • Thats odd... I know this might seem a bit obvious but try cleaning and oiling the chamber, or maybe a different brand of ammo.

  • No,no... I WANT the cartridge to stick in the chamber during normal handling, and not fall out when the bolt is open. I cut the chamber shorter than normal to make it wedge in there intentionally.

  • its a .22. some .22's have external something on the barrel i forgot what its called, and when the hammer hits the firning pin the firing pin hits the external thing and thats hits the primer in the chamber.thats why .22's are called RIM FIRE

  • to bad it doesnt have a magazine and is only single shot.

  • if you made it a target pistol i would consider grinding down or removing the rear sight and replaceing it with a fully adjustable. you could get a spare unit from an air pistol. weirauch make match grade fiber optic iron sights. u could pick 1 up for nowt.

  • Reminds me of the Red9 from Resident Evil 4.

  • yea. but the red9 ended up being a one handed rifle in the end tho. lol

  • and its real too.. look up Mauser C96 and its the real deal.. the red9! :D

  • lol yea i know! pretty nice lookin gun

  • Its pretty BA... id tap it... hahahah

  • lol. careful dont blow off someting you cant replace!

  • And that's about as far as your firearm experience goes...

  • what caliber is it .22?

  • Yes, .22 Short, actually. I was trying to minimize the necessary bolt weight, to minimize the effect the bolt movement has on accuracy.

  • very well crafted

  • Where did you get it or how did ya make it?

  • cool!!!!!!!!!

  • I've never seen that pistol in my life.

  • what the helll do you need to do to reload ??

  • To reload I only need to insert another cartridge into the chamber. The empties are ejected from the gun automatically, and the bolt returns to the open position.

  • 9 mm? if so ill take 2 lol...

  • I can't believe some of these people fuzz! The see a great build like this and bash it and call it fake? I mean WTF your build thread proved that you have a tonn of tallent!

  • this is really ghetto but sweet if you made it yourself. looks like a ruger mark 2 a little bit in design. especially where the safety is located.

  • nice one dude gd job u should try a sten gun or smg

  • how does the safety work? Nice gun btw.

  • Thanks. The safety blocks the rear of the sear from dropping down. It just pushes back and forth, from side to side, with a spring-loaded detent to retain it and make it snap into each position. In my other video where I disassembled the gun I did not take out the safety because doing so requires a stiff paper clip or the like to depress the detent and it is a bit more trouble and not good cinema.

  • Yeah, right.

  • You are honestly the most ignorant person around id like to see you take a crap toy lathe and a mini mill and produce this...Jesus Christ people have no respect for one and other

  • 1Leb2much? More like 1cocksuckingmoron2much.

  • chamber wall*** but yours has no spring, impressive lol, and the other impressive part is that my gun was mass produced, stamped out in a few seconds.... yours was hand made = P

  • open bolt? eww lol i used to have a stein mk2 or stien, however you spell it, anyway it took a 9x19 parabellum round, fully automatic, firing open bolt. it was really hard to hold a consistent aim because of the firing type but it was one of, if not THE fastest cycling weapon ive ever handled lol and ive never had it jam or have a round fall out, common to open bolt weapons, but this was probably because the rounds were held in place by the magazine spring pinning them aginst the chamer wall

  • What is it made of? Very neat little gun, is that just a thick ass bull barrel on the front or a suppressor.

  • The metal parts are all steel, and parkerized. That is just a very heavy barrel, about 1" diameter.

  • Sweet. What kind of paperwork do you have to fill out to make your own firearm?

  • For rifles or shotguns there is no paperwork. Maybe in some states for pistols also. In Michigan, after I got it 90% complete I took it to the county sheriff and he gave me a "permit to purchase" which the state police want prior to issuing a safety inspection certificate. Maybe if a guy took it to court (big bucks) you could avoid the permit to purchase, since the law simply does not address homemade pistols. But it seemed reasonable enough to me, though the safety inspection itself is a farce.

  • Once I got the permit to purchase, I had about 5 days or 7 days (I forget) to get the completed gun back to the sheriff for the safety inspection. That is the reason I had to get it 90% complete before I brought it the first time. Of course the system is set up for purchased guns, and they don't want to give too much time for the people to bring them in after they pick them up from the dealer.

  • None.

  • is the barrel rifled?

  • The barrel is rifled, but I did not rifle it myself. I made it from a barrel blank I bought.

  • I pointed that out in the original text info for the video, and no I don't have an explanation for it. Are my other two videos on this pistol design also fake? I must have an extreme talent for faking things, don't you think? With all the trouble to build fake pistols composed of numerous fake parts, then create fake videos of them functioning and fake brass flying out of the chambers, wouldn't it be easier just to go ahead and build a real pistol and be done with it? I question your judgement.

  • "I don't have an explanation as to why there is glaring discrepancies in my video that are totally inconsistent with an actual firearm"

In other words, you admit that its faked.

  • I said I don't have an explanation why there appears to be a tiny unknown shiny spot on the cartridge case head. Obviously it would not fire again if that was a firing pin dent and I was using a previously fired case. Why would I use an empty case when I could use a live cartridge, and how did I fake the ejection? Just because you personally might be incapable of doing something doesn't give you the right to go around recklessly making unjustified insults against those of us who can do it.

  • Telesniper. This is in fact a working real firearm. I watched him build it on a forum.

Tell me, why would he take the time to build something that looked real when it would be fake? Your a moron, probably mad because you dont have the talent to create such a wonderfull little gun like this. Fuck Off

  • yopu tell him fuzz,There are so many people like this guy on you tube. everything is fake or crappy because they are jelous that they can produce such a nice peice of art such as this pistol. ignore these dumbasses.

  • "cough" FAG "cough"

PS, you can see it fucking shooting in his other videos dumbass

  • you dumbass I as well as meny peole followed this build from day 1 at Rodous Custom Gunworks, Home gunsmithing forums. You're going to have to kick yourself in the ass when you go to the forums and read the build thread of this pistol. Man what is wrong with you people "shakes head and rolls eyes"

  • your a dumbass! I followed this build thread and fuzzybeanerizer is very tallanted! As a matter of fact he inspired me to make my open-bolt, single-shot, blow-back pistol. I soupose mine is fake too. Research before you call people out loser. Also watch the other rounds they don't have that unexplained dent looking thing in the round, it was likly a glare or somthing, dumbass.

  • @Nwest82

Man, that dude's one of those fearful types who doesn't trust his own abilities, and projects it onto others. My home built smg works perfectly. I built a cnc machine

(a wood router) that I used just to make the forward grip, but all the metal machining was done with a dremel, and an old Central machinery drill press. uzzybeanerize's weapon is of a nice design.

  • We don't need Zionist Judges to interpret the second amendment for us!

It's plain English! The current regime is contemplating is,- thru Zionists Joe Lieberman, and J. schumacher - trying to curtail our rights to self defense. Do you people WANT your country ruled by Israel/Israelis/dual passport originators of communist tyrannical police-state? Bulk up on ammo, Hexamine, nitrous acid. Learn. Be a patriot. To the Fed Gov, you are a Terrorist if you are a Christian-anyone opposed to

  • @randallcaster ...to what's going on. Fuck, it's staring us in the face and blatant now.

And STILL the sheep chew their cud, while admiring Hilton and Lohan's BS on TeeVee

  • pause it at 0:03

the round is live (you can see the bullet)

  • 5 stars !!!!

  • Wow, man, really nicely done

  • Thanks, I designed it myself.

  • you made or bought this pistol??? if you made, could you say me how you made it???

i liked very very much... thanks!!!

  • Thanks, I made it myself, but it is quite a long story to tell how.

  • Did you made it from az air pistol?

Can you make a londer description?

  • like the design man. looks kinda like a luger.

  • mk22 from mgs3....but this one is lethal

  • Very cool!

  • Cool, a video for how you made it would have been a better tribute to what you've done

  • Yeah, I guess it doesn't involve twisting toilet paper like your excellent project.

  • lol, now thats funny, damn halo wack jobs. These people who are so into Halo go about making papper guns, its works than the hardcore starwars freaks, lol. With that being said I do like the halo game but I wouldn't go about making papper guns, now thats a waste of time. Great job fuzz reading your .22 open-bolt pistol projects at the home gunsmithing forums inspired and taught me to make my own .22cal open-bolt. Thanks!

    Weapon-collector

  • nice gun, i like 22s

  • man your pretty intelligent it look like a professional gun they sell in stores

  • i have a 22....it gets jammed a lot because i didnt clean it much when i used to use it but normally it works fine

  • i have a 22....it gets jammed a lot because i didnt clean it much when i used to use it but normally it works fine

  • COOOL! I have a project going on too but not as cool as this...

  • is the barrel(or other parts) hardened?

  • The barrel is not hardened. It's made from a blank I bought off eBay. Even for centerfire calibers, any heat treatment (if there is any at all) would be done by the barrel bank maker. My bolt, sear, trigger, and other firing mechanism parts are made from O-1 tool steel and I heat treated them myself in a small furnace I have.

  • How did you do that finish on the gun?is it phosphated?

  • Yes, it's parkerized using stuff I bought from Brownells. I pressed the barrel and upper receiver together before parkerizing, and had a bit of trouble with oil contamination right at the joint.

  • Try to add a wooden stock.

    good work.

  • With reference to the "Home made Horroes" you see allsorts on here, dumbasses making guns from copperpipe, with plumbing fittings and nails for firing pins,MADNESS,I do note that they USUALLY fire them from a distance with a piece of string tied round the "Trigger".Even a piddly .22LR can be lethal if the device firing it explodes!!

  • beutifully made piece, shame its single shot open breech though, don't you lose alot of power from the tiny .22 round by not having a locked breech for 1/2 sec or so before it opens?keep up the good work!!

  • Little if any power is lost. The pressure would be pressing back on the bolt face anyway, whether or not it moved. The bolt movement that takes place while the bullet is still in the barrel is like .020 inch. Compared to a 6 inch barrel, .020 inch movement only represents a 1/3rd of 1% increase in bore volume. This is negligible, especially since much of that .020 inch bolt movement occurs after the peak pressure is already passed.

  • i want one, very cool

  • Checked out your posts on Roderus, I'm even more impressed.. you may end up discouraging the guys who post videos of guns made with common hand tools though.

  • Thanks for the compliments. Those pipe guns scare me, so if I discourage those guys I'm doing a public service.

  • 5 stars on this one, I thought it was made from a factory receiver or was a replica conversion at first glance.. very finely made.
