  • He's amazing: Talented, handsome, grounded, honest, and genuine.

  • I've got a feeling is amazingly cool

  • "Ringo very old, John senile, me ancient but a little less ancient."

    haha i love him <3

  • Paul once again being brilliantly evasive when asked THE question: what was the nature of that relationship? Well, at least this interviewer tried so kudos for him, lol...

  • lol for some reason he looks a bit like spock at 3:31 just noticed that

  • Both of you made it big. Individually you wouldn't have left Liverpool. A neccessary duo complimented by the stability of George and soul-beat from Ringo. Thanks so much for going through it for us.

  • I love Paul

  • i love the picture in 3:30

  • What a beautiful man.

  • What is a Dueshe Bag?

  • I don't really know what to think about Paul.

John has always been my favorite Beatle, and when I watch and listen to interveiws where John talks about Paul, they vary from good and bad. And it seems that Paul loves John, and I'm sure John loves him back, but it gets confuseing, because you get this idea of Paul from John, and when you watch him yourself, it's different. So I don't know what to think. Is Paul just putting on a show? Or is he really like this? =S I love Paul anyway. He's cute.=D

  • I know what you mean. You can't help but to wonder what the REAL story is. They had to been very very close and very fond of one another to do what they did together. Fame changes things. I think in the late 60's and beyond their relationship became rocky, but this confused both of them too, because they were so close growing up. It's like someone asking about your X, = "I'm really not sure why we split" is at least half the answer.

  • not one bad comment =)

  • i luv Paul and you can tell that he loves John

  • This is a 1988 interview that was a 1 hour 2 part special & was the greatest interview i've ever seen a broadcaster and musician share please post the rest ;)

  • Actually it was from 1992 because it was 3 parts and the first part had Paul discussing "Liverpool Oratorio." Fascinating interview.

  • Actually, it was 1989 to be exact. But you're right, it was a great interview. The part about John lowering his glasses and saying "it's only me" stuck in my head for years. What a cool way to stay in your skin and calm things down.

  • Brilliant interview...Paul quite candidly admitting that he (and the others too)covetted John's approval, plus agreeing John had the sharpest wit. Some good generalistic stuff about seeing other people's points of views too, and of course telling of the brilliant quote from John when they were arguing!! Then of course a superb track to finish with!!! Thanks for posting this!!

  • OMG

    I just love Paul....

  • he has a great sense of humor

  • nice man...see what a rotten chick can do to you...that 40 year old mattress...like samsona and delilah...a rotten woman can bring even the best of man down...evil creep that heather mills is...if there really is karma hope it catches up to her...she's killing this guy and she knows it and loves it...

  • I like that he can admitt to being a Lennon fan. Damn, whenever I think I can't possibly love the four of them more, I see a video like this and... :)

  • At 1:38..he said "its only me!"

  • Does anyone know what he said around 1:38

  • He said "it's only me"

  • I'm a little less ancient.lol

  • i adore him!!!

bt i dnt like his hair!

  • Costas was great on Later

  • nice interview=)

  • He's got everything, he's clever, he's got talent, he's handsome, ironic... OH....

  • This was a lengthy interview on Later that played on atleast two different nights. Check out another part of this interview on youtube at funcds. This was I believe the best interviews with Paul. Too bad it's not available on DVD.

  • Cool interview. Thanks for sharing.

  • Go ahead Bob! Συγχαρητήρια!

  • Bob Costas KNOWS MUSIC. Very intelligent, open-minded and informed interviewer.

  • Costas was a great program for interviews (they reran it summer of '99). Charlie Rose similar but he's SO longwinded.

  • Cool haircut.

  • jenile....if ur dead...im dust!

  • Keep sportscasters out of music. What a damn farthead.

  • i recall watching this late night when i was 15.

  • When he is talking abut the ex-beatles´ ages he says: Ringo,VERY OLD, John ________(what comes next?)

  • John, senile, me, ancient...

  • oh shut your trap! that is not true you @#*&$#%@$! Paul McCartney

  • ok how is gracing reyhound in anyway funny?

  • Was Paul in the Olympics? Why is he being interviewed by that Olympics guy?

  • Ha Ha!... Bob Costas had a great show in the early 90's where he did great one on one interviews for the whole show. "Later" it was called. I didn't even know he was a sports guy at the time!

  • I've Got A Feeling and One After 909. Good" live " feeling songs.

  • channel 5 rules!! ¿?

  • keep that forwarded shit out of the comments, we don't need that crap taking over youtube also, its bad enough in emails

  • Very insightful stuff!

  • im sick of this spamming, if you dont stop it, on the nearest possible friday, I RIP YOUR DAMN BALLS OFF!!!

  • Get a life and stop this stupid stuff!

  • WOW! I haven't seen this interview in years! But...where's the rest of it?

  • john and paul didnt care about thinks like that in the begining but know paul regrets cuz he never was into the bussines eraly in their career

  • good interview.

  • here, here Fatty. What about George and Ringo? Believe it or not I like them better than the other two.

  • this is fucking bullshit!John and Paul weren't the only talents. they all could sing and play. ugh

  • i hate michael jackson. he made good music in the early 80s and with the jackson 5 too. but then he bought the copyrights became a freak with children, lots of plastic surgery. now, the only thing that awaits for him its death

  • great photo montages

  • Yeah, not so surprise he was mad. I would be too, especially when Michael Jackson bought the copyrights and used 'Revolution" for a commercial. Right now in the present day the corporations are using All You Need is Love in a silly credit card commercial. Ridiculous isn't it?

  • thats so sad, the best songs in the world being sold by people that didnt even write them...

  • what do they even sell the rights to their songs for, anyway? and which beatle has that power- i'm assuming paul since he is the songwriter and contributor still living. but jeesh. why would he have the need to sell the rights? their songs were priceless works of art that shouldn't be held in the rights of anyone but the original beholder. capishe?

  • Believe it or not, Michael Jackson owns the entire Beatle collection. He outbid Paul when the songs went on the market. Which is why we hear Beatle songs on commercials all the fucking time now. Pisses me off. Hope Michael dies or something so Paul can buy them back.

  • he doesnt own the entire beatle collection. when they split they divided up there songs between them. obviously the only songs that went for auction when lennon died was lennons songs. george paul and ringo still own there songs. and they werent sold all in one. jackson bought a lot of them but mccartney did catch a few

  • I'm sorry, but you have no idea what you're talking about. The Lennon/McCartney catalog was part of the Northern Songs publishing arrangement, which the Beatles lost ownership of and MJ did in fact purchase in the 1980s. It had nothing to do with the sale of Lennon's songs after he died.

  • I know... burns my ass, Paul has to PAY MJ song royalties whenever he goes on tour...

I like to think the reason MJ is so desperate to hang onto the song rights, is that he knows he could never ever write songs that amazing...so he goes and does the next best thing... buys the rights...

  • Well, Paul and John sold them in the early 60's without even noticing.

  • OOOOOH SO SEXY!

  • He is such a good speciMan of the gender MALE. He is the ideal man, imo.

  • SO GOOD LOKING!

  • I remember this interview way back in 1992. There was a moment when Bob showed Paul an ad for Maxwell House coffee w/ Beatle lyrics , "woke up, got out of bed, dragged a comb across my head..." etc. and it was in Rolling Stone magazine. Paul did his best not to look pissed off, but you can tell he wasnt thrilled about it.
