There is a lot of plastic in the ocean. Just walk along the beach. Anyway, the turtles confuse the plastic bags as jelly fish (their food), and they can't digest the plastic. I am definately not some liberal environmentalist, but it really sucks how people just throw their trash around. I hate morons who throw their cigarette butts on the ground. They trash every place but their own cars and home.

how do you all know it was a plastic bag? could have been a condom or a tuna can, hell what kind of animal eats plastic bags anyways. turtles are the goats of the ocean eating everything they can and producing horrible milk.

first they dont produce milk because their children never really meet them, second their main diet is kelp, algae, and jelly fish. plastic bags look like jelly fish, a condom may have been it but im its a greater chance of being a plastic bag figuring there is more. can idea is pretty stupid but what ever

How ironic he probably died froma plastic bad and ended up ina bag. When I was a teacher i taught my students to stop using bags because all the sea turtles were choking to death out there somewhere in the ocean..Years later they todl me they remembered me tellign them that... pass it on. :( Godd Bless this and all the other turtles dying for our love fo plastic :(

I'm in Hawaii and am promoting an unplastic Green BioBag for retail stores, asap. It is not polyethelene--the crap sea turtles mistake for their favorite food--jellyfish.

It's veg-resin, sinks, no plastic nurdles floating, can pass through birds, fish etc., system without DEATH...surely this turtle

is the victim of swallowing and suffocating

from a plastic baggie! We pull them out of the butts of sea turtles when diving...creepy.
