He said she was in a sober-living house. They don't talk about her in the show because they want to leave open room for her to come back when it is right for the actress and the story.

I love Gemma's role in the video too 'picture your the Queen of everything' was so fitting, 'cause she IS the Queen, and the glue that holds them all together. The clip choices were perfect, you really captured the essence of the show, oh and it's making me miss SOA so much. I can't believe we have to wait so long till it's back!
