A lot of people who show videos of police "brutality" often try to take their video and spin it that way so other people can feel better about themselves because of a lot of prejudice, so I am skeptical now going into videos of "police brutality". People also don't understand the difference between "lawful" and "unlawful" assembly and assume that when police have to disperse a crowd and/or arrest people, that the cops are "oppressing" them. Being a protestor doesn't make one exempt from laws.
@berner Nobody is suggesting that protestors should be exempt from laws. But I was in Queen's Park and at no point did I hear an announcement that the assembly had become unlawful. How were people supposed to know to leave? The only indication people got that they should leave was when the police started charging at them and arresting people at random. Once people saw this they started leaving, yet the majorty were arrested WHILE attempting to leave. Are you trying to justify that?
@KTEM88 Honestly don't know 'cause I wasn't there. The way I look at it is if people are going to use their right of "freedom of assembly" in the form of protesting, they should also study the laws around it. The cops are really just a neutral party between you and the courts. Technically speaking as soon as a law is broken, it's up to the police's discretion to either follow it up, or let it go. My guess though would be that they just used it as an opportunity to "dilute" the water so as to...
@KTEM88 ...reduce the chance that if more people were going to show up, they'd have a smaller crowd to deal with. But since I wasn't there, I can only speculate. I don't have a problem with cops, and I don't have a problem with anyone who wants to stand up for their rights. I'm just a dude who makes up the people in the middle of the "us vs. them" thing and making an observation.
As pointed out, this video doesn't actually show any direct violence or police brutality so I removed that from the title. I moreso used that label originally because it was filmed at the same time and place as a lot of the brutality happened, but we missed most of it as we tried to avoid being charged at and taken away. Plenty of other people have videos showing police brutality if you continue to search. To those that say it didn't happen, I ask, were you there?
Where was the brutality in this video. Do you even know what the definition of brutality is? Consider yourself lucky that you live in a peaceful country like Canada. I bet the majority of the people "protesting" didn't even have a cause, and were there to capture police brutality; like yourself.
If you are REALLY worried (and we ALL are), read "The Road to Serfdom" so that you can get a clear understanding of what is truly happening.
You are currently being used by the globalists as Anarchy ALWAYS leads to Totalitarianism when the people cry out for a strong leader and his close cadre of powerful friends to restore order. You are being used as a pawn!
