i have a red eared slider too for a good year i guess now. im prety sure he is a guy anyway my sis didnt want her turtle (map turtle) so they live together now. map turtles r so emo XD but u gotta love em. is it ok that my tank is all water with a dock for bathing, and yea i got heater, filter, uv light and heat light thingy plz msg me XD

there are a bunch of ways to tell if a turtle is a boy or girl. and i dont think you are supposed to keep turtles of different speciese in the same tank but i guess if they get along thats fine. oh by the way who wouldnt want a turtle? they are so cute!

i know there are so cute! but i want to know how big of a tank i should get and what kind of aquatic turtle i should get because i dont have a turtle yet but im getting one in augaust.

It depends really, turtles will do alright in smaller tanks but they get bored. 55-75 gallons is a good size. Painted turtles are fun and cheap, red-eared sliders are boring.

yeah, I haven't found them for sale since I got this one. None of the breeders around here are interested for some reason. (i talk to the breeders directly and the reptile convention...)
