  • That's what you call "utilizing" the whole runway.

  • High Density Altitude + heavy aircraft and high field elevation will = a long take off roll.

  • Russians.........their pilots are disgrace.

  • The co-pilot just shit his flight suit and his asshole just bit a hole thru his seat.

  • wow

  • Runway fees being what they are, what's wrong with getting full value for your rouble?

  • SHEEEET!

  • Russians pilot are the best pilots in the world!

  • Hot, high and heavy. Been there, done that, and it is no fun!

  • Three words.... High Density Altitude

  • he was delaying his rotation on purpose to gain speed

  • Duzy samolot potrzebuje miejsca nie tylko na ladowanie, a tam "krotko" !

Wykorzystal pilot to co mial do dyspozycji. Bardzo dobry pilot. I na pewno byl trzezwy!

  • Looks like somebody didn't do a weight and balance check as part of his preflight......

  • Heavy aircraft + mountains = long takeoff roll...not drunk pilots

  • @paulman92 heavy + overloaded = stupid

  • If the pilot was stupid,he wouldn't know where he was right then!

  • Drunk pilot huh? Thank god for people who now what their talking about because I thought it was an IL-76 taking off at nearly MTOW. A lot of pilots who are taking off that close to MTOW will actually leave the plane on the runway on purpose to gain all possie speed prior to getting airborne.

  • perhaps the problem not was about the pilot, perhaps the problem was about the plane... (if it was fully-loaded, the pilot don't have to be drunk....)

  • In Soviet Russia runway uses u

  • prob grossly overloaded

  • Watch this Igor - lets make those Aussies squirm!

  • @campainr *South Africans

  • Heavy loads and hot hot air.The IL76, the workhorse of the air cheap to hire and they dont ask questions.

  • oh, come on guys! russian pilots don't drink!

they' re just sometimes a little bit drugged.

  • did you hear about the a380 that crashed damn you fsx

  • WOOW! the Russians...xD

  • looked like a short runway and a VERY heavy plane. i think he did well. maybe could have ramped the motors up a bit more before letting the brakes go .. but still a good job ! :)

  • thot is UNBELEEEEVABLE!

  • We have smirnoff. now THAT is a good one.

  • Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

thats what the pilot screaming while his riding it.

  • dumbasses dont realize its a short runway and it takes alot for that heavy plane to take off

  • russian plane..... pilot wasnt drunk.... ok maybe a little bit of smirnoff.

  • certainly not drunk

  • Funny how i saw this video under another named title. excactly the same clip by someone else. This has absoultely nothing to do with a drunk pilot at all and this vid was probably ripped off someone elses post. It wasa filmed at the Canberra airport in Australia

  • WEIGHT AND THRUST HAVE TO DO WITH THE LONG TAKE OFF

  • Its nothing to do with the plane being overweight. The Russians use a special takeoff method where they calculate the runway length, and how much throttle to use to try and be as gentle as possible with the engines.

  • he wasnt drunk

  • where is this?

  • @Flyglobespan93 this is in Canberra , Australia

  • crikey

  • What's stupid about it?

  • Is this in Scotland?

  • I dare you to F**k with the Russians.

  • drunk video title -.- FUCK U

  • НАШИ ПИЛОТЫ ЛУЧШИЕ!

  • НАШИ ПИЛОТЫ ЛУЧШИЕ!

  • ITS A HERCULES AIRCRAFT.. their used to transport army tanks etc. no shit theyre heavy

  • @jiujitsu11 Hercules?? Hehehehe.. its a russian workhorse... ilyushin IL76... and yes it was very heavy on takeoff :D

  • @ollo1982 my bad i thought it was a hercules IL48230EJFHIFEN29 FLIGHT 48329J -.-

  • @jiujitsu11 Oh no,i didnt mean to be rude or anything... Hope you didnt take it that way...

  • This guy was probably was trained using the new, patented technology, "Trying to take off a 4,000,000lb Mig-21!" (or an Aircraft Carrier!)

  • in Soviet Russia, plane fly you!

  • every inch of runway, great skills!

  • Russian planes seem to be built out of wrought iron.

  • What worries me the most is that the guys talking are the controllers. God help us.

  • what was bad about the takeoff? OP be troll'n

  • 1:55 is those stuff on the field Kangaroo's? They really are everywhere in Australia O,0

  • @madzane94 really only in the bush which i havent seen one in a while. they wouldnt be kangaroo's though

  • Well if i didn't see it i wouldn'ta believe it :D

  • What is unbelievable is why aussies are so stupid

  • this is common procedure for short field takeoff

  • I would never be in a plane with a russian pilot. Or in a russian plane or a plane maintained by russian drunken mechanics..

Everything russian is bad. I wont have anything to do with drunken russians just to dangerous because they drink vodka everyday on the job and smell like dead people

  • drunk pilot? more like giant ass overweight plane plus small runway he needed the whole thing dur

  • yeah you can lift it up anytime you like.

    cheezus kroyst.

    sheeht!

  • The pilot had taken off... Obviously he knew what he was doing.

  • I would like to see those talking tower monkeys even get the plane started let alone take off.

  • Heavy...... and a hot day is really an enemy!!!

  • hehe Aussies are impressed with Russian planes and pilots...

  • drunk is mayby the uploader putting that title. . . the plane is overloaded, yes... and its a big plane too.. i think he saved the day... not only fuel... but his life too... and yea.. they paid to use it.. =)

  • Wonder if the pilot got fired for doing that? Doesn't seem like a bad thing because he used the whole runway, but to his supervisor or whoever the hell made him a pilot would see this as a dangerous thing..Was pretty awesome though

  • "unbelieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeevable" haha

"i hope i've got enough to film the crash"

    LOL

  • Do we have smirnof?

  • @oreo10111 Right at the end of the runway...

  • im sure on the last few hundred feet they were getting nervous in there :-)

  • drinking and driving dont go together drinking and flying go together

  • great commentary love the australian sense of humor

  • Vodka makes plane weigh heavy. ( I am trying to say cargo is vodka prety much.

  • What a joke of an aircraft. A weak attempt at copying the mighty USAF C-5. I'm glad they made it off but the commentary was priceless. Just another in the long line of shitty Russian attempts to duplicate a US aircraft. Nice performance douche bags.

  • @nofxslc Yep, good point, I've thought the same thing myself many times.

  • Gotta love them dry Aussies

  • co-pilot:what is the length of the runway??

pilot: here comes the vodka burner mother fucker!!!!!

  • lol

  • Did the pilot take off. YES! So he is a good one.

  • Absolute :-) Knowledge and Skill...!!!! Excellent Pilot!!!

  • its because they're the best drunk pilots from around the world, no one can compete them in this regard.

  • We have Smirnoff! LOL!

  • This is actually a very good pilot...the guy talking is mean at 2:11....

  • VODKA

  • pilot = pro gamer

  • All of u r stupid asses......he is soviet...and he is d BEST......and u're all stupid bitches, cause u think that russians only drink vodka and etc........but he kicked your asses.....he is pro.....and u're losers and suckers that sitting in a tower and licking each other dicks!

  • @MrStr1nger

Boy are you defensive, inferiority complex maybe???

Whatever it is GET OVER IT and stop talking threats about kicking asses, nobody gives a damn about your glorious past (of course vodka clouds your memory too), but like i said, we don't give a shit about Russians and your inferiority complex...

As far as this pilot, of course the pilots is a pro...a pro at drinking vodka. Weight and balance, not so much...

  • @DevilDog68145 best.. comment.. ever!

  • pilot: lets start *falls asllep* ZzZzZz *Wakes up* HOLY SHIT IM IN THE END!!!

  • @leorrixx I tried so haaard and got so faaar, but in the end they just made fun of meeeheeee! (Linkin Park Edited a little)

  • uh unapro.. your response to my comment makes no sense.. when i said use the entire runway i meant that you taxi to the end so you have the whole runway to use in case you do have to abort. we're on the same page you just misinterpreted what i wrote.

  • That was fucking close.....WOW.....this pilot has balls....!!!!!

  • i do this all the time, if it's a short runway or sometimes at a very long runway, its always good practice to use the entire runway in case sometime goes wrong on takeoff

  • @MrShoeable üsing the whole runway" means taxying to the begining of the runway and not entering the runway halfway for your takeoff, in case you have to abort or it takes longer than anticipated to rotate. There is no advantage to delay your takeoff and use all the runway. Your comment makes no sense.

  • Captain you are a single lady!!!!!!! If will cut my right hand if you really know how to fly!

  • He's just pro :P

  • DAMN I DONT HAVE ENOUGH CAMERA BAND TO FILM THE CRASH.... "HAHAHAHAHA" very ownage. VODKA GUD !

  • Esque casi se le acaba la pista para despegar men!!!!!!

  • WHATS WRONG HERE!!??

  • "You can lift it up anytime you like...."

  • In soviet russia, Vodka drink you!

  • In soviet russia, Vodka drink you!

  • I love russians, they just mess everything up, including flying.

  • Well. Runways is made for useing so..this guy wanted it all =)

  • The commentary in the background illustrates the difference between the two kinds of people in aviation - the people who daily risk being BBR, and everyone else. (BBR stands for "Burned Beyond Recognition.") I'm sure these tower guys are nice fellows, but they obviously have nothing at stake here compared to the crew of that cargo plane.

  • Never heard of "V1" is right!! Holy Cow!! And I haven't seen an overload takeoff like that since old films of WW2 BOMBERS maxed out in wartime!! His dismal climbout rate shows he was WAY over safe load limits.... good grief!

  • they paid the runway so use it well =D

  • pilots prolly been drinkin free nips of vodka since they started boarding lmao

  • alpha hotel charlie seven three zero three is definiteley heavy ....I dont know what the range is on that II-76 but I dont think he's stopping for gas...haha!

  • see the wings lift up as the weight is taken onto the wings. very cool.

that looks like me on flight simulator LOL

  • russian people are impatient and try to fit as much shit on the plane and this happens

  • Pretty sure he meant to pack ass much shit in there as possible and take off with one inch to spare.

  • hahahaha 'we have smirnoff' priceless... :L

  • arent you special robert

  • hhahahahhahaha

  • "the vodka burner is rollin'" ahahah

  • all of russian il76-pilots has steel balls. almost always overload. And the heat.

"vodka and beer is rolling" - stupid ATC mans.

  • Comment removed

  • you're gonna have to go faster than that cap'n....priceless

  • I think you'll find he's a very good pilot who knows exactly what his aircraft is capable of. Presumably heavy in hot conditions, he's using every inch of the runway to accelerate before lifiting off - perfectly sensible with no obstruction to clear.

  • A good pilot cares about the safety of his/her crew and plane. If there was a single mechanical problem on that takeoff they would have all been screwed. If the pilot was a little bit above rotation speed and pulled up it would be fine, but the climb out shows that that plane was way overloaded for the conditions.

  • Maybe in Russia. However, in the rest of the world we are required to have a balanced field length, meaning he could still take off after reaching abort speed if he'd lost an engine. So, unless he lost an engine, this take off would violate rules for balanced field operation for transport category aircraft.

  • Loaded. Hot and humid . = Not lift at all.

  • cameraman sounds a little drunk too!

  • nah, just australian

  • I bet he was Heavy, and using the entire runway saves on fuel. Acually a very good pilot.

  • @jimmydcap Dunno, if i was flying that i'd slam the throttle right forward and become airborn as soon as possible, just incase i did end up hitting the end of the runway. I see ya point though

  • @jimmydcap - As I see, he is using more than the entire fuel. besides, a good pilot does not cares about save fuel if it goes against the safety of the flight. there is a thing called "flight planning" to avoid things like this... and this pilot did not make the homeworks.

  • @jimmydcap how does using the entire runway save on fuel?! i've been a pilot for 9 years and have never heard that!

  • @4fifty8 Simple. If he throttled up to full power, he would have burned alot more fuel.

Nice and easy take off . they made use of the entire runway for that,

  • @jimmydcap first off, using the entire runway has nothing to do with using partial power on takeoff. and second, what makes you think that these pilots used partial power?

do you know the reason they use partial power? there is one main reason to use reduced power and there are so many reasons NOT to take off with reduced power!

  • @jimmydcap "they" meaning pilots in general.

  • @jimmydcap wrong, if you delay the optimal Vr you get only more drag from wheel contact and landing gear down. This case he was very heavy and the Vr was very far away totally unsafe.

  • No way, man. Those russian idiots have no clue about aviation.

  • @flynabil Why are the russians stupid?? they know just the same as any other aircraft company about aviation... would like to see you do the design for Sukhoi or Antonov.. Hahaha

  • @jimmydcap Actually not really jimmy... a good pilot always puts safety first. Not using a lot of fuel on takeoff might please the airline... and granted is practiced (more so for noise reasons than any thing else)... this was a very risky takeoff. What the pilot has done is put his aircraft through one hole in the swiss cheese (those who have studied Human Factors or similar will know what I mean by this)...

  • @winsor68 no thats an antonov 225 and the runway wasnt long enough. The pilot knew exactly what he was doing

  • @donkekeli AN-225? You gotta be kidding me, this is IL-76 Candid.

  • Us pilots from around the world are good fliers but the Russian pilots need to keep the Vodka out of the Cockpit

  • What do you mean by ''US pilot from around the world''? Thank god US people comes from USA only!

  • Hahah true aviation was born in American soil.

  • But perfected in Canadian air.

  • yep he,s drunk

  • a dollar save is a dollar made

  • he is obviously a russian catwalk model. the way he worked that runway, he was begging for the attention! work it workit baby, LMAO

  • i would like too see how he would land!!!

  • In Soviet Russia, plane flies you!!! ... wait a minute... lol

  • In Soviet Russia, VFR stands for Vodka Flight Rules

  • i believe because they lost the cold war lol.

  • Better go check the runway lights at the end!!

  • it takes a real man to use the entire runway.

  • LOL pudding. awesome.

  • use the whole runway or you wont get any pudding, how can you get any pudding if you don't use your runway?

  • jesus how heavy was that planes load?

  • why didn't he take off sooner? It takes a while to open a vodka bottle, jeez! Pilot Can't do 2 things at once!

  • Okay, the pilot is an ace, but the controller shited his pants.

  • this isn't russian..

  • other than the russian aircraft, the russian markings and the tower calling it a vodka burner, yea..not russian.

  • There is Ukraine. That Uses Russian. There is Czech that has Russian Symbols....

  • yea but the plane is

  • funny

  • the pilot is pretty good. he has a heavy plane or just does some fuel economy but he knows what he is doing and is certainly not drunk

  • Seems to me that the pilot knew exactly what he was doing

  • Looks like 'V1' is entirely missing from a Russian pilot's vocabulary. Their closest guess is probably some vodka brand.

  • why do people on youtube post horrible titles for plane take offs and landings??

  • True. So, instead of drunken pilot, it should be "Stupid Pilot" as it reflects the unwise and unsafe loading of the plane by the pilot (who has the final say on safe loads).

  • I think it is cuz they want attention
