  • it will be good if Russia could conquer this atoll by marine and air descent operation!

we need a base for our strategic nuclear atomic bombers too!

  • PGUA, RODN, VTBU, PJDG 1965,1970, 1991, 2003,2010 --- the BUF beat goes on! From a guy who was flying BUF's before you were born, thanks for the memories. Keep up the (whatever) work!

  • Great great video! Wonderful footage of the greatest and baddest bomber ever! What is the music? Greetings from the cold Scandinavia.

  • BUFF = big ugly fat fucker ,, lol

  • 0:24 Fuel in the eyes? Or is that the ground cart being disconnected?

  • Down with imperialism.

  • How do you not like this Vid...and Its Diego . 4300 Provisional bomb wing in 91..(Tim Allen) oh-oh-oh-oh

  • My bro just joined the air force, he's doing avionics for the B52. He goes to basic in 1 month

  • @shapow54 NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! save him before its too late! If not, he'll hate at least the next 4yrs of his life! trust me... I work on this shitty aircraft 12-13hrs a day 5-7 days a week with no lunch breaks! Tell him to pick an office job or something. Keep him out the flight line! If not, you'll remember this comment when he tell you how he hate life in about a year from now! Trust me bro!

  • @quantomic1106 is it better to become a fighter pilot?

  • @BDFPA Oh yea.. pilots air being spoil by the AF. When their aircraft break after a long joy ride, the maintainers will spend blood, sweat and long hours to fix it. If the jet crash, its always the maintainers fault unless its an obvious pilot error. However, its pretty hard to be one specially fighters. Its pretty competitive and very political. Everybody can fly a plane but to get in one is where its difficult. The best way is to go AF academy if possible or ROTC. Good luck!

  • hahaha shove this in your cockholster

  • I want one of those.

  • Love the song! great music/ footage combo!

  • US AIR FORCE RULES

  • Wow thats the dream... B52 in cockpit during air refueling

  • amasing kids flying what some of there dad flew thanks

  • I was on Guam for 18 mos (during the deactivation 87-89) and knew friends that went to Diego Garcia (TDY). Either way this brought back memories. God Bless those serving today we love them all.

  • no one kick ass without tanker gas (kc-135r crew chief)

  • AMERICA LOVES WAR Its clear to see here in this vid

  • @bencantona ...and clearly, so does England. You've been right by our side all along. We are happy to have you as allies in this fight. Nobody is twisting your arm to be there with us.

  • @bencantona Interesting view. I have a different one. You wouldn't be so cocky if Americans wouldn't have helped your country in WW2. Maybe you should just shut up and be happy that you're not a cog in the nazi machinery. I guess some people never understand to be grateful but instead continue biting the hand that keeps the western world safe while we get a free ride.

  • @ImForwardlook lol, free ride, really? you need to research European history more throughly. Secondly, to a certain extent, we, the human race, would be in a more beneficial position, if the Nazi regime had succeeded. However, i guess we will have to disagree.

  • @BDFPA Huh? I know enough, my father was an officer in WWII fighting off the Soviet commies. I was talking about the time after WWII though. If the US would have continued the policy of the founding fathers of not intervening in world conflicts the world would be a much more violent place now. Although I support that idea in general I'm grateful that as a European I have been able to enjoy the peace that the US has provided us with. Nazism beneficial....are you joking? I sure hope so.

  • @ImForwardlook No, i am not Joking. Poverty, famine, disease, obesity, terrorism, stupidity, etc would not exist. Those who committed awful acts of violence, i.e. rape, pedophilia, killing of others, would be dealt with more accordingly i.e i propose, that these criminals should be subjected to testing for the benefit of modern medicine, thus improving the chance of finding a cure for the likes of HIV, Cancer, etc.

  • @ImForwardlook Furthermore, rather than subjecting innocent animals to torture, which many argue will never provide a full cure for the mentioned above. Yes my views are extreme, however we are an extreme race that decimates everything in it's path. I completed two tours of Afghanistan and it was awful. So much death and injury for nothing. I thought we would have learnt our lesson from WW1 and WW2. The best approach would be to have a cross between a democracy and a communist regime.

  • @ImForwardlook Re: "my father was an officer in WWII fighting off the Soviet commies"...so, your father was in the German army? And yes, the US should have let Hitler have Europe, then we could have had north America without any liberal/neo-communist BS which overthrew the US in the '60s. America died in 1945.

  • @hazeleyes1911a1 No, my father was in the Finnish Army. To me the communists and the fascists are the same thing, big government is the worst enemy there is.

  • I notice the Air Force still allows free-style marshalling gestures when it should be NATO standard movements. They once told us that NATO standard is what every ally air force uses and what the airlines use, so that we could disperser our bomber to any air field in the world and we could marshall aircraft there. But here....25 years later, I see the guys still free-styling it...waving their arms around all over the place. Interesting. Great video by the way. Love it.

  • At :22 you can see the Crew Chief struggling to get the air hose disconnected. It should pop right off, but sometimes the butterfly valve check-valve fails to close and back pressurizes the hose. VERY dangerous. It can be 40 psi and when that huge thick hose finally does release it can knock your teeth out, or worse. I can't believe they haven't fixed that problem in 50 years. Airmen are expendable...apparently. What's that guy doing at :25?

  • @steamjerry No, "it" is spelled "I-T".

LOL, sorry, couldn't resist. "Chief" is what you're actually looking for, I presume? You were close...I love how Mozilla has this auto-spellcheck feature. It's annoying at times, but there are words I never even knew I was mis-spelling until I tried Firefox. And it's also useful for noticing things like typos, etc.

  • I thought that was Guam. Spent many a day flying in and out via C-141's inbound Yakota AB back in the 90's. Miss those days.

  • when im older i want to be B2 and B1 pilot cuz that looks fun!

  • who is singing?

  • When i`m a little older,I want to be a b-52 pilot.

  • @hcgnkhu- Well, in theory you have until 2045 to get your chance at piloting a BUFF. Good luck!

  • @justforever96 Thankyou!

  • Jo !! hezký video :-)

  • Do the B-52's require external starters or can they "self start" there own engines?

  • letsled, the buff can be installed with cartridges for self start, usually done on two engines, but all eight are capable for quickstart

  • Thanks for the reply!!! Are these cartridges compressed air cylinders?

  • They are gunpowder cartridges, they look like a 10 inch diameter shotgun shell

  • @ehunter2 no everyone in the Armed services should be getting ticker tape parades

  • AWESOME VID!

Why the song change? And whats with the GUAM USA at the end?

And...it would appear that the Cards have the same Super Bowl problem as the Seahawks.....

  • Song changed because AC/DC told me to change it.

  • Video footage contains some Diego stuff but mostly was shot in Guam.

  • who is punchoutND?? did you actually take ANY of this footage? if you did, you would know most of this ISNT guam. It's Diego.

  • oh yeah, and nice of him to block out the credits at the end...

  • Blocked because credits say AC/DC music and they told me to remove it

  • @punchoutND

That's unfortunate, AC/DC and/or their lawyers are a bunch of pussies. There is an A-10 video here featuring 'Thunderstruck' that has been on YouTube unchanged forever.

  • @agirgen

You are correct this is Diego, not Guam

  • I'm Currently in Guam supporting our B-52s

  • I flew as a gunner on a B-52 from 1989-1992 (when SAC/ACC) got rid of us. I miss flying on that plane!

  • Nice, man. I'm a loadmaster for AC-130U, so they won't take OUR guns away! LOL. I was wondering, the screens in the B-52 cockpit, the green ones: are they radar? IR? I figured you might know if you were on one.

  • @justforever96

The green screens are the day filters for either the EVS which was a low light television camera, or the other option available was the IR. At night we used red filters.

  • @justforever96

Do you know how far they have come with the AC-27? And how will it be used?

  • @swertinge07 - I wouldn't know. Last I heard they put the axe to the AC-27, for lack of funding. I'm not complaining either...I don't really see the point. It's a 2/3 C-130J, is all it is. Better fuel economy maybe? Beats me. I like it where I am fine enough.

  • @justforever96 ur the loadmaster of AC130U? is it fun there???

  • @SuperFsxpilot - Not as fun as flying it. Basically all the laodmaster does is make sure the ammo and everything is loaded and secured, and everything is good to go. Even the gunners only feed the guns...the actual aiming is done by computer. Most of the flight involves being passenger, but it sure beats the average C-130! The whole plane shakes when the guns fire. I'd like to be a pilot, but I doubt I'll stay in long enough. In any case, it beats the ol' flight sim. In most ways, at least.

  • @justforever96 Sorry, didn't notice this until today. The green screens are indeed from the FLIR. They are MFD panels, but primarily display the FLIR camera image.

  • @wschappell Thanks for the reply. I was just confirming what I suspected...they must use those for low-level penetration at night, huh? Isn't there a terrain-following radar too? Is one of those bulges on the chin a FLIR, and the other radar, or are they both IR devices?

  • @justforever96 To be honest, it's been so long, I forget. When I flew on them we didn't have nap of the earth TFR like the B-1 did, our terrain avoidance was primarily with Mk. I eyeballs :). I remember one red flag where we were (ahem) a little lower than we were supposed to be and the co-pilot said, "That wingtip is awful close to the canyon wall". Pilot asked, "How close?" Co-pilot "Maybe 10 feet" Pilot "Plenty of room". Yah, it was crazy, exciting fun flying in those things.

  • @wschappell Chappy?...were you stationed at Carswell in the early '80s? Were you the guy who did a post 50 hour inspection engine run with all 8 engines running....by yourself? Doing both the inside and outside leak check all by yourself? I remember being sent over to help out a guy named Chappell and when I got there he was doing the leak check underneath the engines. When I got the chance I asked him who he got to run his engines for him. ...nobody in the cockpit! DOH!

  • @JetMechMA No, I wasn't stationed at Carswell. I was there briefly for G model to H Model transition training. I was a gunner :).

  • @wschappell OK, thanks. Looking at this video I can see that some things never change. Not too surprising I guess.

  • @justforever96 One is IR and the other is low-light camera....night vision. I forget which one but one of the camera windows has a red line around it because the screen has some sort of electrical charge across it and can shock you.

  • What's the airman with an instrument to his face, doing ?

    Anyone flew "Triple Deuce"

    Thanks.

    Sgt (Ret) Picabea.

    Eielson AFB 87'-91'

  • That is a device used to test the IFF system. I don't think trip deuce is in service anymore.

  • @canals22

he is check the Mode four on the IFF

  • USAF 1968-1972; honorably discharged as SSgt December 7th, 1972. 379th BW, Wurtsmith,

    Nov 71-Dec 72.

Never before (or since) have I ever met a group of men who were more dedicated, professional, or serious than those B52 aircrews.

Col. Walter Burkhart was Wing Commander. Ran a taught ship. Knew what he was doing!

  • One bad ass video!! Long live the buff!!!!!!

  • I was Life Support on the B52 at Wurtsmith for several years and with the 1701st in Desert Storm. Man I miss the BUFF! Fighters are cool but the B52 is just mean and powerful! Thanks!

  • Damn good video! Wish the pics didn't flash by so fast, though.

  • b52 family, are you still active? Thanks also for your service. I got to ride along on a few incentive rides and it was one of the most memorable times in my life. The only thing to top it has been getting taxi qualified and high power engine run qualified on my airliners. You might say, what qual does it take to push the thrust levers up to TOGA? It's not so much that as it is knowledge of the various tests we do up AT TOGA. Fun fun. We often use "manual event record" because of shaking.

  • Yes, still actively flying but not as often as I once did. I spend more time flying a desk now. When did you retire/separate?

  • Oh, I was a one-term airman. I seperated in 1985 after four years. But it was a jam packed four years as far as I was concerned. That's the one thing good I can say about the Air Force, they do live up to the claim of accellerating your life. I went from driving a fork lift to driving a B-52 in about a year. It took me 10 years to get enough seniority to get taxi qualified on these civilian airliners. I guess you know how bad they need you at that desk job. They are lucky to have you.

  • All B-52 crews should watch the film "Dr. Strangelove" with Peter Sellers, about a B-52....

  • way to ripoff a video someone else made with different audio...

  • for the record, the video was pulled down for a while because of copyright problems, that's the reason he changed the music --Iben

  • Thank You

  • copyright problems required me to change the music as AC/DC told me to have it removed. Thats why the credits are blocked at the end to cover the AC/DC part. As far as ripping off, this video was made and given to all us Airman deployed when we left, I didnt rip anything off

  • what is the song

    ?

  • Last Man Standing by People in Planes

  • fucking shit : this is a cool plane !!!!!!

  • Mors Ab Alto

  • Mors Ab Alto means, "Death From Above". 7th Bomb Wing, Carswell AFB Texas. Me?.....Crew Chief 7th OMS Organizational Maintenance Squadron 1981-1985 on Aircrafts B-52D 56-0662, 56-0689, and 56-0585. Also B-52H 61-0038 "The 38 Special". Time of my life.

  • Jeff--I'm an instructor radar navigator and I think I speak for most aircrew when I say thanks for your service. Love those crew chiefs keeping this beast going after all these years. The crew chiefs at Minot did a superb job during the 6 years I was there. Even the bitter cold couldn't stop them from churning out sortie after sortie.

  • An IN was giving a student a hard time ...in the low level route. We were off course, terrain all around. RN was keeping us safely vectored, but AC was getting pissed at IN. I said over Intercom, "Why don't you let him do his job until we get back on course." No reply, and continued harrassment of student. I spun out of the IP seat and was going to STOP IN from disrupting navigation and the AC grabbed my arm and sat me back down and called off the low-level run. Smoke pouring out of AC's ears.

  • It looks like Diego Garcia but maybe I'm wrong

  • IT'S AT ANDERSEN AFB, GUAM

  • At the first time I said it wrong, so I'll rephrase that:

Only at 1:40 it looks like Diego Garcia but the rest perfectly matched to UAM.

    Regards

  • Video footage contains some Diego stuff but mostly was shot in Guam.

  • @punchoutND are the natives guamites or guamanese???

  • Comment removed

  • @jjjazzycraig They were called guamanians... I enjoyed my two year vacation as an 8 and 9 year old, air force brat.

  • incredible aircraft that will be in service until 2050 - that will be 100 years since commissioned.

  • you fail if you dont like it

  • Awesome video and the song kicks ass also!!

  • I suggest they must be quick in take off because missile warning gives only 4 minutes warning and in 4 minutes there must be a massive take-off

  • Video was much better with original music.

  • I was statione in Minot during Desert Storm and worked on B52 and KC135, nice vid makes me nostalgic. Even recognized some tail numbers of aircraft I worked on. Thanks!!

  • nice video

    and a great music

    congratulations!

  • Back in 1980 I deployed to Guam in the H model, when they still had the doggy old D model "Tall Tails" in service there. Some jealous D model crewman drew a picture on a bathroom wall of a short tailed H model with the phrase "B52H Stratofucktress" written underneath. Good times.

  • Isn't that Diego Garcia at 1:40 or thereabouts?

  • i was gonna say that, was diego
