@fandenivoldsk It'll be available for free download either during or after the event, nobody's expressed an interest in publishing it to date (and our policy has always been to give the game away as well so people can try before they buy, the money pays for the media and perhaps a couple of drinks at events like Replay) but the very first public screenshots were only shown about two or three days ago so none of the publishers have seen it until now! =-)
They're built with the hardware sprites, each object is a maximum of 10 by 18 pixels (built from one 8 pixel wide player and one 2 pixel wide missile, which share a single colour register) and has just one colour which my code is splitting every second scanline. Getting that to work was the hardest part, especially with the sprite multiplexer running in the same area!
Those are some of the best PMGs I've seen on the A8. You've done a great job here. I'll be attending R3play, I'm looking forward to playing it.

Are the colour graduations on some of the sprites the result of some kind of trickery or are they just standard bitmap sprites?
