Great list guys! Cool to see you included your nostalgia factor! The RPGs on Saturn are great but most of us discovered them much later. I also agree it is a sweet port of Doom.

My additions: Alien Trilogy, X-Men v Street Fighter, Darkstalkers Revenge (Vampire Savior), Clockwork Knight 1 & 2, Panzer Dragoon 1 & 2/Zwei, RESIDENT EVIL (great version!), Deep Fear, the stunner light gun games (house of Dead, Virtua Cop 1&2) ... SO MANY GREAT ONES! hard to narrow it down!

I'm all for letting people have their opinions and all, but come on man, no Dragon Force? No Guardian Heroes? What's up with that? That's like not putting FF7 on a "Top 10 PS1 Games" list. You can't possibly think Mr. Bones and Die Hard Arcade are better than two of the greatest RPG's ever made. They're not just good because they're expensive you know, they're good because they're some of the few AAA titles on the Saturn. But....To each their own I suppose.

Great list charlie:) I was sad that you didn't have Resident Evil on there. I thought of the original versions of the game it was the best one. I loved it's bright colors and the battle game featuring zombie Wesker and the Gold Tyrant:) Until the gamecube remake, it was (IMO) the definitive RE1:)

Nice Top 10/ Top 20, although my list would look completely different. But hey, there are tons of good games on the Saturn, so it's really hard to select only ten of them. ;) My favorite games: 1) Shining Force III 2) Castlevania X 3) Nights into Dreams / Christmas Nights 4) Shining the Holy Ark 5) Burning Rangers 6) Panzer Dragoon Saga 7) Bulk Slash 8) Duke Nukem 3D 9) Magic Knight Rayearth 10) Command & Conquer Saturn Bomberman, Deep Fear, RE or Die Hard Arcade would follow close behind. ;)

Both your lists are terrible. You need to play more jap games like Grandia, Princess Crown, Metal Slug, Radiant Silvergun e.t.c A lot of the japaneese games are better than pal games 1. just missing four fantastic fighters. fighting vipers, dead or alive (import), last bronx, and fighters megamix. the first two are very affordable, last bronx isn't bad, about 15 to 20 bucks, and megamix costs about 30, but they're fantastic.

No Panzer Dragoon Saga, Radiant Silvergun, Guardian Heroes, Deep Fear, Dragon Force, Shining Force III, etc... sorry but those games make a terrible top 20.

I Like Deep Fear is a good game, but can be quite slow and the acting is just awful. Long way of a favourite, Guardian Heroes is good but the multiplayer was under developed, Panzer Dragoon i dont have yet as im still saving up for it, and not all that interested in radiant silvergun as its just a sht-em-up, and dodonpachi covers that ground well!

Well, you're right there, the games I mentioned are painfully expensive but that doesn't mean they're not the among the best of the system. Also I guess it's all about your personal preferences when it comes to games, I don't like sports or racing games, so yeh... anyway your list is different but I don't think it represents the best games on the Saturn.

none the less i (charlie) stand by my top ten as their the games i can chuck on at any time and immerse myself for hours and hours on the saturn. I mean i have over 150 odd saturn games so im bound to miss something even if i wasnt limited to just 10 games. Lets just hope when we do a top 10 dreamcast and top 10 mega drive games it meets more approval.

k so i just remembered it was called clockwork knight i dont see why that would make a top ten list i mean the game was a very one of a kind , however the music takes intestinal fortitude to withstand

good reviews as well as opinions which i guess could count as the same thing , any ways i have a bit of a problem i cant remember the game on saturn that had a toy kight of some sort with a key as a weapon a response as to what it was called would be fantastic

Actually the Saturn port of Doom sucked, with the exception of the Japanese version.

The japanese version sucks just as hard as any other Saturn version. It just isn't true that it would run more smooth whatsoever. The PS1 version was/is far superior to the Saturn release.
