  • No offense, but this scene was complete bullshit. I mean really? 3:13 Those M1 Tanks & Bradley APCs would have spanked those Mech hard. A mech would hold less firepower than a modern MBT and as well, they make themselves an easy-target for the Tanks/Bradleys to engage through long range. And where in the hell was the Close Air-supports at?

  • @xReadOrDiex As much as I hate too say this, you are right but I have heard a rumor that as of 1998, all turrets on all combat vehicles have been upgraded to spin faster.

As for close air support, an A-10 could of chewed those FAKES up and spit them out and chew again. If not then a Spooky or two.

Bu you also have to admit the ATM (anti-tank missile) with control rockets hitting at the tanks weak spots is rather devastating.

  • @royalpain88 I'll admit. ATMs hitting the tanks vital point with advanced control rockets system would be devastating. No doubt about that. But still, I mean 40 MBTs/APCs or so against a few Mechs with their "Please shoot me" glosser rings on top of them? They could have been blasted to oblivion completely right? Unless it was in the city rather.

As for close air support, yeah an A-10 Thunderbolt II would chew these mechs like they weren't even there. But a few AH-64D Apaches is good enough.

  • @xReadOrDiex It is among agreement of most that mecha's are more useful in urban combat as say open field combat, the tank rules. If the two are to combine their advantages/ disadvantages, look out!!!!

I do prefer mecha's with high speed ability like wheels on their feet. They may dodge incoming if the pilot os good at judging when the enemy will fire. Rockets will be a stretch now that they can track their targets on their own. As for air support still, cobra's or huey's rule!

  • The moment at 02:28, when you see the scene from the tank pilot's point of view is really touching : you see his personnal stuff and family pictures falling down.
