Before Cops appeared upon public school property, I recall watching a teacher in a study hall, choke a student who did not sit down when he told him to and instead said he was going to get a drink of water. All the students witnessed this and we told the principal and the vice principal and the teacher was reprimanded. I think he was suspended! this was over 50 years ago!

i think another important question is the concern about freedom of speech and the freedom to film, photograph...would be interesting to see what their take was on trying to prevent someone from filming or taking pics in public (school).

She says the officer is there to "protect the students". What student did he protect? All I saw was the officer hurt a student. Was the officer protecting the student from himself? Yes, kids can be arrogant smart-asses (not saying it was the case here), but getting annoyed doesn't give an officer the right to get violent. Sounds like Murphy runs that school instead of the principle.

I called the school All I got was a answering service so I left a message! I told them that the video I saw of a cop slamming a child's head into a table. This is Unacceptable and if my kid went to that school they would no longer be going to that school.

That is the worst principle ever! I wonder if this video gets the attention of the local media in machester, if she will talk to them in the same manner regarding this issue. She trys to advert the responsibility of the situation on the officer in this case. I guess the police have free reign on the children inside public schools now as the school administration turns the other way! What a disgrace! you need to interview the sister to see if her bro is blowing smoke up your ass. i agree with you on this and even if theft, he could have escorted the kid out without slamming the shit out of him, but i also wouldn't take that kid's word on anything that wasn't on camera. who knows if it was his sister's purse unlesss you ask her or if he was gonna give it back.
