I think the movie is ok but WHY MUST THEY SPELL RUMPELTEAZER WRONG?? It makes those poor unfortunate souls who have only seen the movie and not even heard of the original london cast spell it wrong!!! If you spell it like Rumpleteazer, I assume you are one of those stupid cats fans that only likes the movie version. Oh yeah, sop calling them Mungo and Teazer!!! It makes TS Eliot cry. In his grave.

Love these two... well, love the whole thing, but Drew/Mungo and Jo/Teazer in particular! The filmed version (when it was broadcast on the BBC) was my first experience of 'Cats'. Sadly, when I first saw it live, that Mungo was a bit of a let down - but, to be fair, he's have had to be damn good to come close to Drew's performance. Their Teazer was far better, but still not up to Jo's standard - they truly are fantastic!

Drew and Jo don't sing this. They are only dancers. Their singing part is dubbed.

They DO sing. The credits give a misleading impression - all that was dubbed were Jo's giggles and Drew's 'shushes'. There was quite a stink, and Equity (actors' union) got them compensation. Why those bits were dubbed is anyone's guess!  The occasional lapses in lip-synching are due to the whole soundtrack being pre-recorded for proper sound quality.
