if a good rider should be able to get a horse over a jump without a whip then why do eventers, show jumpers, jump jockey's and some of the most respected huntsman use whips?

i actully ave a pony and shes a stubborn mare n refuses jumps but i get her over dem without a whip so thank u nah haha x
