  • Some of these tractors have been working for 50 years, and could plod on for many more even the "Morris 1000", would be struggling after 3 years on the beach?

  • cool

  • if a midsize 4 cylinder car and a tractor of this size where to operate for the same amount of time, which one would produce more pollution?

I'd say the car would produce more, modern diesel is more clean than regular gasoline... so the tractor might have been easier on the environment here.

  • the car would win over these old tractors...

  • @immigranter But who cares?

  • @immigranter Tractors and cars are made different. Tractors are slow, efficient work horses. Cars are simple, fast, transporters. Tractors can handle tiny diesel engines with a low gear ratio for pure power. Cars have larger gasoline engines with high gear ratios for speed. Barely comparable due to their different uses and such. these tractors must only be for hauling them out, then they use a truck or car to haul it home. imagine trying to get home at 10-15mph at best?

  • low tide
