i like the way you put this incident into perspective. i was giving mccain credit for correcting this woman (and maybe something in his heart DID want to do the right thing) but as you said his campaign has been demonizing obama for 2-3 weeks now -- mccain has allowed palin to say any damm thing she wants about obama. so you're right, it's suspicious for mccain to temper his crowd's hate-mongering the same week the media says he's going too far; it's hard to trust him at this point
