dubai mall is a ripp off, i have no idea when you said that the same price as usa, not even closed, i took one day to compare prices with UK and portugal and USA, and the price of nerly everything was around 50% to 60% more, so i have no idea what did you buy there to say its the same price, shops in dubai mall are for 2500,000 aed per year rent, thats the reason they overpriced everything.
I fuckin hate when these assholes who just abandon their expensive cars. Like why would u buy them in the first place? They dont deserve cars like these. They have no sense of responsibility.
Anyways, that was a nice tour of Dubai man. Good job.
my friend moved to dubai to work for their national airlines....VERY expensive but not because of supply and demand but because EVERYTHING is imported there.
@Einchy1 jealous that some muslim arabs who u like to think of as backwards and primitive have created a city that have many amzing buildings and lifestyle so you try to find any flaw u can.
LAWL SLave labor
Lawl oil
Well I got new for you you dumb cunt dubai doesnt have any oil and it built it self by itself so eat ur heart out in nowheresville where you live
@Munty102 Haha, so I'm a bigot now? Jesus, you assume way too much, man. Last time I checked I had no problem with Muslims, but I guess you're right. I apparently hate them.
@Einchy1 Yes it does mean you are a bigot. Just come clean you bastard no need to hide it on the internet. Like me I really hate gay people even though I know like 11 of them and share talks from time to time. It is also quite obvious by your modern warfare videos on your page that you yearn to " kill dem mozlim terrorist"
@Munty102 Dubia is a city in the United Arab Emirates. United Arab Emirates has the world's seventh largest oil reserves. The United Arab Emirates oil reserves, according to its government, is about 98 billion barrels. There population is >5 million in the United Arab Emirates. At a cost of ~$80 per barrels. That adds up to a $1.6 million worth of oil per person in the United Arab Emirates. 85% of the UAE's economy is from exports of natural resources. Where does there wealth come from???
@Loathomar While what you said was spot on it is very very misleading. I strongly suggest you read about how the UAE operates which emirate gets most the oil. UAE consists of 7 emirates they are all ruled by a federal government in Abu Dhabi but each and everyone of them gets to keep whatever trade and economic gains they make. 85% of the oil rev goes to Abu Dhabi dubai and the rest of the emirates get scraps that would barely build a tiny town not a huge city like dubai.
@Munty102 Most, if not all, of the major construction projects where either partly or whole funded by the government. The built the city mostly in the last 10 years and it is a complete flop. The Burj Khalifa tower is a good example, after almost a year only 8% of the apartments are filled, and that is after dropping the price by 40%. But really, there is the important fact that 71% of the emirate's total population are expatriate. The emirate is far more Asian then Arab.
It is an interesting idea, fund the building of a city with oil, drop taxes to 0% to bring in foreign companies. Then bring in foreign workers to work at the foreign companies. Then say "Look at what Arabs can do", which is really only use oil to help build a city for non-Arabs who don't pay taxes. The emirate has only a 26% Arabic population.
I didn't know much about Dhabi before today, it was interesting to find this out.
@Legeon86 That is interesting, I wonder if that is why mean of those cars are just left. If you where in debt and you could manage to leave, you just left, as quick as you could, leaving cars unsold, just sitting there.
@Munty102 Damn, jump down his throat why don't you. Did you even read the articular he was talking about? It seemed an honest look at some of the problems in Dubai and they are things worth knowing before going there. Writing a book called "Dark Side of America" would not be hard, and AWM05 did claim that is was horrible or so much worse then the US, just that it has it dark side too. The video showed the good, it is not unfair to mention the bad too.
@Loathomar Yeah sure I am jumping down his throat because everytime Dubai gets a mention somewhere anywhere for anything positive or negative you get a bunch of jealous inner racists who go on to mention the problems about Dubai. How about everytime AMD, Apple, Microsoft, New york, Florida does something or anything a bunch of people will bring up slavery, mistreatment of illegal immigrants and a ton of shitty things america did.
@OtakuCyclone I didn't have the money to do this when I started - I took out a loan to make it happen... I figured I've got the rest of my life to pay it off, I may as well do it while I'm young!
they had a challenge on the tv show the amazing race in that ski park you showed! thx for sharing this - prior to this video, the most i've seen from the uae was from that sex and the city 2 movie...sad, i know. safe travels!
@Dogney yeah, it was pretty expensive! But on the positive side there were 7 courses (I was full by the end of it)... and I got to see the interior of the Burj Al Arab, which not too many people get a chance to do.
@MooseheadDrinker No, you weren't. Only now are you stating anything reasonable, and an opinion that I'm sure many people agree with. Your last statement was hateful and unproductive. You sounded like an idiot. I don't know if I totally agree with you, but you don't sound like an idiot here.
Awesome vid! Are you winging all this or have it all planned out? It seems it would be hard finding things to do and places to see and stay if you hadn't planned it out but I'm curious. Also, are you going to Australia in your trip?
@Mills88 I have a general idea as to where I want to go, but I've also made a few "spur-of-the-moment" stops. I've met many people while traveling and they have recommended different places to visit... I'm definitely planning to visit Australia. I'm not sure which cities I'll visit - Melbourne, Sydney... possibly a few more.
Dubai reminds me of Vegas with a stone age kinda culture behind it. Its cool you have an opportunity to go see it but I'd imagine you'll be ready to gtfo pretty quick.
Dubai seems cool but half the population only makes about 6$ a day. They live in tiny rooms with like 11 other people . I hope they can make the lives better of the people there more then just making tall buildings .
