  • EPIC!

  • Playing the Star Wars theme is the most memorable music in John Williams' life. :)

  • 200 years from now John Williams will be remembered and studied just as Mozart and Beethoven are today...

    A very gifted man.

  • @pdt1515 nope

  • I wish John Williams could've done the theme music to my life.

  • Classical Music for Dummies :)

  • @gilliamjf New Classical Music!

  • @gilliamjf it's not classical it's orchestral.

  • ahh E.T i haven't seen it in soooo long

  • I need tickets to a BSO show when John Williams comes.. I've been three times, none with John Williams though :(

  • I get goosebumps every time I watch this.

  • this is the most awesome ix of songs ive ever heard john williams truly has talent

  • Why people clap and shout in the mid of the song? I know they are bridging from one OST to another but it is still considered as one performance. Clap and shout after yo..

  • @JigokuCiel because the scene where indy shot the swordsmen is epic

  • @JigokuCiel You have to be in a show like this to understand the atmosphere.

  • it seems the classics still rock.

  • this guy and hans zimmer are the greatest

  • fantastic,i actually cried my eyes out watching this

  • E t

  • Its pretty badass to make a bootleg video of a Classical concert. :)

  • 24 people have no admiration for beauty

  • I was at this concert too! John Williams is the man!

  • So perfectly conducted...

  • bum ba ba bum bum bum bum ba ba bum ba ba bum bum baaaa

  • this star wars theme is one of the few things that still keeps the child in me after all these years

  • love john williams

  • An Epic Awesome!

  • its realy john williams ?

  • @assassin18782 yup,it was him

  • Everytime i hear the beggining fan far of star wars live i get goosbumps especially when the crowd goes insane :D

  • STAR WARS IS THE BEST.

  • @wolverineks the screen in front of him shows the same thing on the big screen but his has a slider going across in time so he can give the downbeat right as the scene changes on the big screen to sync up music with the scene. (think something like guitar hero scrolling Down and hitting just at the right moment.) it adds a lot to the emotion. Like when et's finger lights up and suprises Elliot. Notice how it happens at the perfect time. That's what the screen is for. :)

  • How is this a Star Wars Medley?

  • what about superman??? i love john williams and star wars!!!

  • the ultimate Home theater !

  • So I'm grinning at Jaws, cheering at Star Wars with my heart pounding, laughing at Indiana Jones, and sobbing at ET. Only John Williams.....

  • george lucas owes half of his wealth to john williams

  • I almost cry everytime I see the transition to Star Wars... :'(

  • "Peace. Thanks. I love ya'...... get out the way!! (under breath)" Gone quick, fast, in a hurry.

  • wow, playing like this and i stop myself from humming along so i can hear it better...also, whats with the lcd screen?

  • wow, playing like this and i stop myself from humming along so i can hear it better...

  • where's Close Encounters, Superman The Movie and Jurassic Park? Especially Superman, his score for that film has got to be my favorite.

  • ET theme is the only one of these I don't much care for. Saw the movie once, was ok, but not nearly as epic as Star Wars or Indiana Jones... And Jaws was an ok movie but still had an epic theme. Still, I think he picked the wrong piece to end it with.

  • I still tear up when I hear the ET theme...

  • Kudos to the orchestra!!!!!!! I loved it :)

  • star warsssssssssssssssssss

  • They just dont make good movies like this anymore

  • Paaaa sta je ovaj Dzon Vilijams :D

  • 24 Trekkies watched this video

  • I saw him last night at symphony hall! I was in the second row. He looked at me at least 5 times :D it was epic!

  • today is the annaversay of this concert may 26

  • ME GUSTA

  • It's so touching

  • Anyone know if you can get the sheet musci for orchestra or ensemble of this arrangement?

  • I'm gessing Chris Martinor his brither Michael martin is in the trunpet section. I can't remember probably michael..anyway they both performed at our midwest clini in Illinois December 17th ,2010. it was awesome . brag rights

  • @bigbeef30 Its definitely the music that brings that image to life, when you hear the music, it sets the tone and the image in your mind, you don't hear the music in the image if its by itself.

  • Michael J loved this :)

  • I've made the "Raiders" March into my ringtone. :D

  • What is it about his music? Is it the fact he is just that good or do we associate the sounds with the pictures instilled in our heads? Was it in fact Spielbergs images that brought the music to life or was it the other way around?

It's hard hear the Jaws music without fear of the shark, likewise the E.T theme without the magic of the bond between Elliot and E.T.

You could write a thesis on the subject, however I like to think of it a one of the greatest partnerships man ever produced.

  • @bigbeef30 I think it's the music that gives life to the images. Try and watch a scary film in mute, it's never the same.

  • well the ET part made me cry reminds me so much of my childhood

  • @Heirloom9 Right with you on that one....

  • @pdt1515 nice conversation with urself :D

  • @annachg Harry potter sucks

  • JOHN WILLIAMS IS THE MAN!!!

  • What about Harry Potter? Except that it was amazing.

  • this video made me cry dude.

  • The force is strong with this one...

  • FREAKIN' AMAZING. JOHN WILLIAMS IS EPIC.

  • star wars wouldn't be star wars without john william's unforgettable music. Same thing goes for indiana jones.

  • @FoShizzle713 disagree about Indiana Jones...that will always be awesome regardless to John Williams!

  • @FoShizzle713 and Jaws and ET and Jurassic Park and Harry Potter and I dont even like Harry Potter!

  • @FoShizzle713 And pretty much all other of his movies...

  • @FoShizzle713 Don't forget Harry Potter.

  • @FoShizzle713 And don't forget how Harry Potter wouldn't seem like Harry Potter without the classic "Hedwig's Theme"

  • @FoShizzle713 and for harry potter :)

  • 24 people are going to need a bigger boat.

  • Watch the French Horns at 2:30 is he spinning his french horn around?

  • @IrishPotatoSack they are emptying their spit, french horns don't have spit valves plus theres 8-9 valves on one; and the main tuning, the trigger tuning, and the Ab tuning valves need to be emptied regularly

  • ALL HAIL JOHN WILLIAMS!!!

  • GOD BLESS YOU JOHN WILLIAMS!!!

  • typical they think george lucas created everything hehe

John williams is epic you forget just how many movies he MADE whole with his music. I mean what is star wars without that opening scenes music? Indiana without his signature tune which I swear can make you pick yourself up for the next round regardless of loss of limbs hehe

Jaws without the DUN DUN DUN DUN???? ET without the flying BMX music???

salute MR WILLIAMS and THANK YOU for enriching my childhood :)

  • John Williams must be a fan of the brass.

    YouTube Channel: msmaffe33

  • such a great composer one of my favorites along with danny elfman

  • Wow!!! Memories...I thoroughly enjoyed all of those movies aside from Jaws lol...creeped me out as a kid :). John Williams, you're amazing!! :)

  • I love John Williams...I love Star Wars...YEAY!!! THIS VIDEO ROCKS!

  • John Williams is easily one the best composers alive today. Maybe even THE best. I would have to agree with that.

  • @ProneForAccidents hmm i agree john williams and hanz zimmer FTW!

  • I've would of pay anything to be in that concert. Just ti hear and see the images touched my heart and maid me travel to my childhood. If I drop some tears seen this video, I woud of cry my ass off in the concert! EXCELLENT!

  • when you here john williams music you are instantly back as a child while that music is playing sort of like being hypnotised into feeling good and like a child

  • 0:55 - 0:57 amazingly epic transition

  • @Hyperguy2000 jeah!

  • I was actually at this performance. Second row. He is truly an awesome guy to be FEET from.

  • this medley giving me goosebumps. what iconic sounds.

  • John Williams = Genius!

  • john williams.. what a star.. alan silvestri follows but john williams is number 1

  • Y is the video called Star Wars Medly? when its a John Williams medly

  • @kingelder2 cuz people love star wars so damn much. and search that more than john williams im sure. so star wars would return the more popular search for this video than just john williams name

  • Oh hes definately the Mozart of our time. Only Hans Zimmer is even remotely close, and Hans would have many many years of great music to write before he can claim to be as talented as Williams. Both are my favorites though. When you compare this to the modern day garbage people call "music", I wonder what the future holds....

  • @sadalite I love both John Williams and Hans Zimmer, the main difference being that John Williams's music is always very iconic.
