De gaudin orgels in de Helmondse orgelhal zijn de enige orgels van dit type in Nederland en dus moeten we zuinig zijn op deze unieke orgels. Ik zou zo denken, één naar het museum in Utrecht en de ander naar de Haarlemse orgelhal en voor de eveneens unieke mortier zal dan ook een nieuwe bestemming moeten worden gezocht. Het is maar een ideetje maar ze mogen in geen enkel geval naar het buitenland vetrekken.

SORRY THYS ik weet ook dat de flexafoon bovenin het orgel staat Maar met bepaalde registaties klinkt het carillon als een echt klokjes register

That register behind the carillon was named Flexafoon The mechaniek from this Gaudin ist the same as the Kunkels. with a handel you cant push down the toetsen This organ is in a bad condition A total restauration is needed bud the city of Helmond owner from this monument has plans to close te hall and what are the future of the monumental organs. I hope she will transported to Utrecht in the future.as two organs by the collection

@princeboudewijn Zeker doen nu het nog even kan dan, binnen een jaar zou de zaal gesloopt worden!

@princeboudewijn Geen idee, dat vertelde het personeel ook alleen maar. Natuurlijk is hier al wel langer sprake van, maar dit keer leken ze vrij zeker van hun zaak. Ik hoop maar dat de collectie geen moment uit het zicht verdwijnt want dan komt hij misschien nooit meer tevoorschijn.

This is the original arrangement by Ludovic Gavioli, that Marcel van Boxtel has transposed to the Kunkels Orgel. Tom Meijer has used the same arrangement for the Gaudin, without changing any of the notes. - only the registers had to be adapted.

Thanks for the video, this organ has a number of unique tone colors, does any one know what the voice is that sounds like a simulated xylophone? Sort of a high pitched mixture chirp in the melody line ? Just wondering, some Mortier have the same effect..... Thanks....... 8>)

@tgs1947 You're probably talking about the "carillon".

@tgs1947 Yes,they are the Carillon pipes,in this organ there are three ranks of small scale metal pipes located behind the Harmonic Flutes at the bottom played as a mixture they are meant to sound like small bells hence the bright sound,they are very loud close up!

@musicmachinesuk Not entirely sure who did this particular arrangement, but I'm sure someone will know.

@musicmachinesuk Tom Meijer made this book, this tune is also on the ex Jonas Gavioli which is now in the US, it was composed by Ludovico Gavioli.
