  • From Wikipedia: Adams is known for training Scott Hall in 1984 and Steve Austin in 1989.[3][4] He is also famous as the first wrestler to popularize the famous superkick finishing move, which would later be used by dozens of other wrestlers (especially Shawn Michaels' 'Sweet Chin Music').

  • omg its paul bare with blond hair

  • Chris Adams was not a real life gentleman

  • @curtisjones400 Yes that's what "Jim Ross" said. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin even said he was a con-man.

  • one of the greats of all time; doesn't get the respect he deserves. He and Jake Roberts were two of the best heels in history!

  • that girl in the background wanted to be fucked...

  • why didn't rick ever work on his legs

  • Imagine if this was in HD!

  • rick rude was truley great.chris adams was good too.r.i.p

  • Yes, Percy Paul Behrer got so fat later on, that here he looks thin.

  • @BushZappa Looks like Bobby Heenen from the back

  • Holy shit, look how skinny Paul Bearer is.

  • Rick Rude is dead? When did he die? What happened to him?

  • @ecrtr3004 yes Percy is paul bearer it was is first gig before world class went away and the uswa came in then he went to the wwf or wwe for the new school fans and vince give him that charchter.

  • @ecrtr3004 yes it paul bearer

  • @ecrtr3004 Yes. He is naturally blonde.

  • Ahaha Percy Pringle Peeking From Tha Apron. lol

  • Is that Paul Bearer ?

  • I grew up on world class championship wrestling very meaningful part of childhood watching these lengends

  • Rude was the ultimate antagonist RIP!

  • f***k u he was class he was brilliant u pr**k

  • Oh. Pul Leeze. Fat Chris Adams wouldn't have lasted 30 seconds with Rude in a real wrestling match. A joke.

  • @TheTerryE i have to disagree chris Adams was a top start in the company he had skills. though he wasnt a body

  • @TheTerryE .....Are you nuts??? Chris Adams was a real life Black Belt in judo, and super athletic. He was the first wrestler that I ever saw dive through ropes, onto the floor. And World Class didn't have any type of mat outside the ring either.

Adams wasn't chisled, but also wasn't fat by any stetch.

  • @HorrorFreak68 To me Chris Adams more karate then wrestling take away his superkick and he would be nothing

  • hot stud. best when he still had his hairy manly chest. always boned watching him.

  • rick rude me up the ass!!!

  • Rick Rude's tights are so psychadelic.

  • i always got a hard on watchin Rick.

  • This is back when wrestling was actually good.

  • may i just say percy pringle is one good looking fat man!

  • Chris Adams is such a fatso; it's not believeable that he could last 2 minutes against Rude.

  • that percy is gay walking around with a walking stick

  • Ha ha, look at paul bearer...

  • Chris Adams was being pushed in 87 as the #1 babyface in World Class because Kerry had his motorcycle accident, Kevin had a falling out with Fritz and primarily worked New Japan and also he was over with the fans.

  • RIP to both of them. They were AWESOME wrestlers.

  • i agree. greAT memories.

  • wow the von erichs....havnt heard them in years.

  • check out the spank going at 0:42 seconds

  • Great bit of old school baiting from the young crowd member! Well spotted, sir!

  • l0lz

  • Percy Pringle was also Paul Bearer, manager of The Undertaker.

  • sweet match

  • wait a minute! the guy outside the ring witht he cane?..isn't that a tway thinner and way lighter paul bearer?..LOL...

  • Yes it is!!!

  • refresh my memory..rick rude's finisher was a knee drop from the top rope?..wasn't it?...or did it change after his stint in the wwf?..

  • I think he always used that neck breaker or a sleeper hold.

  • In WCCW he used a weak DDT that he called "The Rude Awakening". I don't recall if the Rude Awakening changed to a neckbreaker when he went to JCP/NWA/WCW or WWF.

  • so, rick rude stole jake "the snake" roberts' finishing move then?..jake created the american version of the ddt!..lol..if rude stole jake's move, that's funny...

  • A number of guys stole the move. Arn Anderson, Dusty Rhodes, Buddy Rose ("front piledriver" as Rod Trongard called it) and Rude all come to mind. But Rude called it the "Rude Awakening". I used to always think about that wne they feuded in WWF, thinking in one of the territories they may have done a "he stole my move" angle, but the WWF "Rude Awakening" was, of course, the reverse neckbreaker.

  • Look at that woman running down the aisle at 0:39/0:40, slapping her own butt.

Jim Morrison was right: people ARE strange.

  • that is great. looking at crowd reactions in these 80's matches can be entertaining because you find gems like this.

  • "Come on Referee"...boy was Captain Misfit a riot in this match...LOL

  • Who has seen the documentary about Chris Adams?

Gentlemans choice: the Chris Adams story

It's a really good documentary, showing his rise and tragic fall.

    Check it out online at:

    gentlemanDOTeyesodaDOTcom

  • Rick Rude

    Gentleman Chris Adams r.i.p

  • I am not gay but Rick Rude is sexy!

  • @WCWite Of course you not gay.But your boyfriend is.

  • Gentlemen Chris was awesome.

  • my name is chris adams..lol

  • That is cool.

  • I was at that July 4th Championship match they allude to around 1:00. I remember Bruiser Brody was supposed to fight Black Jack Mulligan, but he didn't show for whatever reason. His substitute? Abdullah the Butcher!

    Gawd, those were the days.

  • Chris Adams invented the Superkick.

  • Percy Pringle...Captain Misfit at his finest. LOL

  • Chris was a really cool guy...

  • RIP RICK RUDE AND CHRIS ADAMS

  • Weird to hear them talk about Kerry's "broken ankle", when it was really amputated. They wanted to keep it a secret.

  • You are right, they did cover it up, but this is actually when it WAS broken. Apparently, he had it fused at first, then came back too soon and THEN had it amputated. This match has to be right after the wreck, so it probably was not amputated at this time. But they did keep it secret when he returned well after this, and it really was amputated.

  • Weird to hear them talk about Kerry's "broken ankle", when it was really amputated. They wanted to keep it a secret.

  • shame bout Rick rude.. was on of the greats!

  • this rick rude guy was one sexy man

  • Even more freaky. In the real world Paul Bearer/Percy pringle/William Moody(his real name) currently manages a funeral home in Moss Point Mississippi!

  • This was after World Class left the NWA. They became the WCWA and billed their champ as 'World Champion'.

  • Gentleman Chris Adams taught Stone Cold Steve Austin how to wrestle and trained him. He's dead now, snad so is Rick Rude

  • WOW! Paul Bearer was a blonde??!!! Freaky

  • Percy Pringle is Paul Bearer. I always knew, but it's still a strange transformation.

It's rather tragic that both these wrestlers are both dead at young ages.

  • what ever happen to rick rude

  • He Died in 1999 of a Heart Attack.

  • omg u see the arena lol no baricades

  • Chris Adams Nasty superkick. Looked like he was coming for you with it. All HBK does these days is raise his leg. I miss wrestling being raw and crazy.

  • Does anyone have footage of the WCCW title change, when Adams took the title from Rude on July 4th at Reunion Arena?

  • true true

  • wtf ever dont nitro couldnt hold rudes jock

  • theres not many brilliant wrestlers like rick rude around ever that was so comfortable and convincing like ravishing rick rude was with his gimmick.

  • Although this wrestler has nothing to do with this clip, I just want to say R.I.P. Angel of Death, who apparently passed away at age 43. You may remember the Angel of Death turning on Fabulous Freebird Michael P.S. Hayes years ago when Hayes was a babyface and left in a pool of his own blood. So once again, R.I.P. Angel of Death.

  • No...I don't "remember Angel of Death turning on Fabulous Freebird Michael P.S. Hayes."

Nope..don't remember nothin bout it; probably because I didn't spend my entire childhood watchin wrastlin.....like-losers like you.

  • Hey, it's all good. I don't remember every single thing about professional wrestling either, that's why I figured I'd just inform everyone of that major angle of the deceased wrestler I mentioned. No harm done, and best wishes on your life.

  • No you waste your time watching fatasses on talent shows.

  • That's not a nice way to talk about your mother....

  • Hookt on phonix shure workt fer you !

  • Rude was one of the toughest guys in the locker room. Highly respected. He was also THE locker room champ in Arm Wrestling.

  • Percy Pringle, later known as Paul Bearer, manager of undertaker...great stuff!!!

  • he wouldn't of given you the time of day. He was here for us ladies to feast our eyes on.

  • Are you one of them ??????? Just bet you are. You need to shut the hell up. Rick was the all time great. and soooo sexy. no one ever again like him

  • Anyone know what match Adams got that "eye injury" in and if it's on youtube?

  • Georgeous Gino Hernandez threw black ink in his eyes. It was to set up their big feud, but Gino OD'd on coke and died.

  • 2 casulties of the wreslting life. RIP

  • wow,its easy to talk shit behind a keyboard cenahater.

  • GOOD GOD....Rick Rude is just a bundle of studly testosterone 100% all MAN MUSCLE. DAYUM there was NEVER a wrestler as BUILT as this MAN! WOW! What a STUD!

  • period.

  • WOW...I can't believe a clip from WCCW! I used to love World Class...I never knew Rick Rude held the title...And I haven't heard the name 'Gentleman' Chris Adams in DECADES lol

  • I used to watch and more-or-less enjoy WCCW rasslin' back in college. I liked most of the wrestlers, but announcer Bill Mercer was crappy at calling matches. He doesn't know what a piledriver is (watch at the 7:05 mark)! More than once, I heard him not even say the name of the move after it was done.

And Bronko Lubich, the ref--he could really suck the drama out of an exciting pin count. He'd just gently pat the mat, as if he were consoling an old friend whose dog had just died. Sheesh.

  • shut up he is a legend, & it was the wwf then.

  • If I am not mistaken, was Percy Pringle in Rude's corner for this match?

  • These were two of the greatest wrestlers of all time.

  • Chris Neil and I

all grew up on the Judo mat together

we 3 represented the Midlads in England

we won the National Team Championships together

    an outstanding and fair opponent

    GOD Bless : )

  • You must have been very proud of Chris.

  • As is Paul Ellering, who managed the Legion Of Doom.

  • R.I.P. Chris Adams, thank you for teaching me and my family everyhting that you did. Your legacy lives on even today where your name is never far from our minds and hearts.

    February 25, 1955-October 7, 2001

    Miss you daddy

    -Shea

  • RIP to both men

  • These two put on a hell of a contest. Rick Rude, a genuine tough guy and fantastic heel. Chris Adams, credited with training Steve Austin. Now they're both dead...

    What a waste.

  • is this fake?

  • This looks like 1986, just before Chris Adams went to the Universal Wrestling Federation (UWF). Thanks for posting this match.

  • You're right this is the summer of 86 Adams would soon

leave in a dispute over money for the UWF & Rude would

leave for WCW. This was a rough time for World Class

as most of it's stars jumped ship.

  • I liked when the Dingo Warrior was part of Percy Pringle's heel stable

  • Hmm awesome an old match

  • They did back then. Now, most fans above 12 know it's a show. But they also know that it takes a tremendous amount of talent (not WWE, if I took roids I could do that shit) but the real good wrestling, takes lots of talent, athleticism, and determination. RESPECT IT.

  • Do people actually believe this stuff?

  • Percy Pringle, or Percival Pringle was his name, not Percy Percival.

  • How do you like Pall Bearer with blonde hair? That's him when he was Percy Percival a long time ago.

  • CLASSIC WRESTLING
