  • didn't this car have key less entry

  • the window has no frame? wtf? that is so out dated... it was present mostly in the 80s and even then, in the lower spectrum of the market. Anyways, love vintage design and huge cars!

  • i would like to see a mazda xedos 6 review.:P

  • The early Ford Windstars didnt have glove boxes either due to the passenger airbags. While some cars in the early 90s that had passenger side airbags had a glove box, many didnt. I suppose it was where it was "new" to many cars then and they really didnt know how to incorporate it. The early 90s Town Cars and Fleetwoods had passenger bags, but still had a glove box.

  • Those cell phones dont work anymore.

  • Wow this looks like a 1997 not a 1993. I kinda want one now.

  • These cars are bad ass especialy for there time I had a 95 (last year before millinea) and it was great fast with four passangers and you could drift this thing like it was on rails they make great vip style rides too

  • @saabkyle04

Is this car still availabe I've always loved mazdas

  • @75birddawg - no, 1995 was the last year for the 929. You cant even get a true luxury Mazda sedan for 2012. Sad really.

  • Kyle I'm a huge fan of your channel. I recently purchased one of these with 225,000 miles on it, and its in nearly mint condition. So I go on Youtube to see if by chance SaabKyle has one of these.. and sure enough, I find it under your Mazda playlist! Great job

  • the transmission on the 1991-1996 Mazda 929/ Mazda 929 Serenia/ Mazda Sentia/

    Ẽfini MS-9/ Amati 1000/ Amati 1200

    Transmission

    4-speed automatic

  • So glad to have one in my driveway. :) It's such a phenomenal car, and is loaded with so much tech! Hell, mine has the optional solar panel roof, heated seats and 12 speaker premium audio with an AUX. An AUX! Factory!!

  • the 1991-1996 Mazda 929/ Mazda 929 Serenia/ Mazda Sentia/ Ẽfini MS-9/

Amati 1000/ Amati 1200 was assembled in

    Hiroshima, Japan

  • I haven't seen 1 of these on the road in a along time

  • Too bad they didn't sell them in Europe :(

  • I have one and i seriously hate the beeping sound when you have the door open or the belt off or whatever... grr!

  • That car is nice it want stay there long and if it was I may buy it

  • i own one of these that is one of my daily drivers and I love this car it is a true luxury vehicle and handles the road great

  • Can you do more vids of 80s cars?

  • How much horsepower does it have?

  • @Miliktrinity67 195 HP...it's right in the Video

  • That's not Mazda. That's American Wall Street Company.

  • I never knew those cars were so nice inside. It sort of looks like a Jaguar inside.

  • they didnt sell many these cause all i recall mazda selling was the 626 and the 323 hatchback, never knew mazda made this car

  • My father had one of these in dark purple. It was a glorious and unique car.

Great to see one in such good condition. Hope it finds a caring owner.

  • This car is so advanced for 93 ! , I can't believe it .

  • is that at a Nissan 300zx at 2:33 ???

  • wow, that car is ugly as hell but interior looks really nice ;)

  • @theGSi16valve the gsi 16 valve, i assume ur talking about uk cars?

  • @mikeluscher159

No I was talking about this mazda 929...

How did you get to uk cars?

  • @theGSi16valve well from all the old top gear episodes i watch, im a retro junkie i admit, GSI usually refer's to a trim specification on UK spec cars, GSI, SLI, I, etc.....

  • it is impressive!

  • Jaguar inspired dash

  • Very impressive for a '93!

  • i want this car :O

  • Kyle, I'm going to open a FANCLUB here in GREECE for you. A Camry and the 929 together? Do you wanna kill me?

I simply loooooooooooooooooove these old japanese luxury cars! Thank you so much.

PS: Might add the 929 looks like a true spaceship. European cars are usually small, so once I saw a 929 between Fiats and Seats in Italy, it was like a whole iron continent moving.

  • @DerAdventurer Also its interesting to observ the 929 had, as an option, the Sunroof with solar panels that would keep the fan and A/C working even after engine had been turned off. Quite a feature.

  • Great looking car! You always have to imagine what cars you used to see on the roads back in 1992 when the 929 was introduced, or what vehicle it replaced. I think Bajabusta also got a Motorweek review on his channel. Really nice car, especially in this condition. And I think a rare sight as well.

  • this car is a nice survivor! i really want it!

  • Two airbags, a cell phone and a cd player, this thing was the shit back then

  • kyle farted @0:32

  • @newandused1998 if kyle was a Diesel Truck then yes. -_-

  • What a nice car!

  • Uhm... very interessting car.. much confortable and very big.. also this car has a good engine.. I also wish Mazda starts to built another luxury car like this

  • Kyle , you forgot to mention this car has a four wheel steering

  • This proves that car makers are lazy. They can make a 17 year old car with that technology and amenities, but just resurfacing now?

  • in every regard this is away better product than anything from Lexus of the same year

  • @wwaalltthheerr and now its the opposite.

  • Interesting fact I read about this car. The 5th generation 929 (this car here) was Mazda's attempt at entering the luxury car market to compete with Lexus and Infiniti. It was suppose to begin Mazda's luxury division known as Amati which never came into fruition due to financial problems.

  • This thing looks reallllly good for a 93. I wish Mazda still made a luxury car.

  • in some ways the 929 resembles a cross between a First Generation Infiniti Q45 and Lexus LS 400....the general shape of the car reminds me of an LS,just abit more rounded, the rear pillars definetly look similar to the Lexus, the Driver oriented dash looks like the wraparound dash in the First Gen Q45 Sort of.

overall it looks like a very capable luxury car, maybe one day mazda will introduce the Amati Brand.

  • Sweet Video!,i've been hoping someone would do a full tour of a Mazda 929

it's one of my favorite Cars!

  • @saabkyle04 can you do a tour of a 2010 Mercury Milan if you can find one... I know they didnt make a lot of them.

  • Look at this car's interior... look at the 1998 Honda Civic interior.... tell me which one looks like a 1993?

  • After a quick Google search, I found out this is literally a stretched out '93 626. LOL

  • @tacomanfan344 Not at all. The 626 is a front-wheel drive midsize car whereas the 929 is a rear-wheel drive luxury car.

  • @anandecy3035 *I meant design wise, I'm perfectly aware of the differences in powertrain, interior, etc.

  • Personally I don't like Mazdas, but this car is a real testament to them. Yes it has low mileage but even still it has held up remarkably well. Would have been a really nice car back in 1993, still very modern in comparison to some of the garbage being sold back then. The interior is awesome.

  • That's a very impressive machine!

  • ford would be lucky to make a car this good nowadays

  • wow 1993?!

  • wow, its a 1993?

  • umm so are mazda good cars because id buy this car it looks pretty clean the engine sounds powerful for 195 horse power

  • umm so are mazda good cars because id buy this car it looks pretty clean

  • This mazda is pretty sweet.. if it was in black and tinted windows, i'd so buy this car :D

  • that music playing in the car is horrendously obnoxious haha, i would never have thought mazda made luxurious cars like that

  • @LarryDavidFreak It was ''Do You Feel Like We Do'' from Peter Frampton

  • i can't believe this is a 1993

  • i still have my dead 1992 mazda 929 lol. wish i could get it fixed one day..

  • in a few years or less, on the news, Today in top stories, a guy named kyle who has a youtube channel has made a review of every single car in the world from the time cars were invented until the newest car now.

  • The door ding and the gauges look like they are from a Jaguar.

  • its weird how little this car resembles mazdas of present day

  • Kyle, do you have any demos of other cars with a cellular phone like that?

  • @DrJohnBecker A phone like that wouldn't work since it uses Analog service. Phone companies basically only offer Digital service, so you couldn't get it to work even if you tried.

  • This car is so beautiful, it could pass for a Lexus of the time easily. It reminds me of a sedan version of the SC300/400. That interior really shows its Amati roots. I don't think Mazda had ever done an interior that nice before, and they certainly haven't since.

  • Can u do a 2008-2011 jeep liberty?

  • does any1 else think that the front looks like a buick

  • @CaaaramelApples I do.

  • @CaaaramelApples OMG ! IT DOES.

  • @CaaaramelApples indeed it does

  • awesome equipped car kyle!

  • Hey Kyle... could yo please explain some of your more unusual words for non american/englsih people like myself... like make a video where you explain exactly what you mean by manual-full auto driverseat.... and when you say it's driver site automatic window.. is it only the window at the driver or also on the other side... further more i looks like on most of them all the 4 windows are automatic... now i can't really come up with anything else but the "slang" you use... thx for the vids btw

  • @godoflolness I can actually explain this to you. When he said "full-automatic driver seat", he meant that all of the controls of the seat are automatic. When he said "automatic driver-side window", he meant that the driver-side window can go all the way down automatically without having to hold the button. All of the windows are still power, but only the driver-side window can go down all the way without having to hold it.

  • I didn't even know this was a mazda.

  • I have LOVED the 929's ever since I could remember. Never did see many. And the Millennia's just don't compare.

  • very low mileage for an 18 yr old car :O

  • @LordKevin92 Yeah thats for sure. Its like it hasn't been driven since 2000. My dad's 06 TL has 104,000 miles.

  • Thanks Kyle for uncovering and showing this gem. It is a rare bird indeed, even in its time, let alone nowadays. The vehicle's low mileage and pristine condition make me speculate that it was owned by an established retired or semi-retired person, who kept it in his garage and pampered it throughout these times.

  • this is a nice car

  • This is Merit from GTA San Andreas!!

  • totally looks like the Merit in GTA San Andreas

  • @EduWestCoastRap It is.

  • Can you do a video of a 2005 Chevrolet Epica?

  • I always thought that the 929 fwd, but I see now that its rwd

  • ilove these old mazdas

  • Reminds me of an old Lexus! Nice car for a Mazda :P

  • the car's interior looks more modern than my uncle's 1998 BMW 318i

  • reminds me of the Jaguar Soverighn

  • the 1991-1996 Mazda 929 was assembled in

    Hiroshima, Japan

  • too bad the antenna's broken

  • This car is styled WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYY ahead of it's time! One could take a look at it and say it was made in the 2000s for sure!

My pop has a 1993 Cadillac Deville Sedan and that car looks 10 years older than this!

Definitely one of the most stylish cars in its time!

  • Thats better equiped than a basic model of a 2004 BMW 318 lol

  • There are cars half as old as this that have some ugly interiors but the 929s still looks modern 20 years later

  • Reminds me of my dads old '94 626. Childhood memories :)

  • I like your videos and old cars. Could you do video with 90' Audi 200?

  • That car almost reminds me of the Buick Century from 2001!

  • underated car.

  • hey everybody what's rot (rotary) in' on

  • @streesmut70 you will be anhero

  • You gotta love the old school car phone!

  • nice car, low miles for an 18 year old car. is the wood trim factory?

  • Comment removed

  • Hey i dont know if youve done this already but if you get your hands on a lincoln ls v8 any year, can u do a review?

  • Cool! The Merit!

  • Gotta love your Japanese luxury cars!

  • I thought it was a Buick! What a cool sedan! BTW very nice vids and post more old cars and coupes!

  • Comment removed

  • Huh, the car is as old as I am.

  • really nice car overall.

  • I've always liked the 929's ever since the debut in 88' I believe.

  • what a great car for its time ! The lack of glovebox is kinda odd , especially when in its place is perturbing dash padding. Although as someone who used to have a Ford KA thats not a big worry. The only storage in the interior was a little storage box , to the right ..beside the rear seats in the wheel arch.

    Great car though

  • Did not expect the Mazda to be so luxurious. I don't believe they even make Mazda's like this anymore

  • Never seen one, looks kinda like a Buick.

  • keep up the good work!! We need more old cars ..... Old cars have a history with them. Too many new car reviews on youtube.

  • amazing car, i love every detail of it.

  • looks like a buik sorta eh?

  • it looks like a 1993 ford contour except its not a piece of shit

  • Man this car looks amazing no glove compartment is crazy but all in all nice car.

  • At 4:21 to 4:27 I have a fetish I love hearing doors thunk and windows close to determine the quality of the vehicle!

  • Wow, looks like an aircraft cockpit with that curved dash

  • big deal about prius mazda had solar panel sunroofs way back then

  • Comment removed

  • Can you do that red Corvette I see in front of it?

  • European 626 is called 929 in US. How nice.

  • WOW, that car is actually really nice, especially compared to the 92 stanza that you just did. haha.

  • notice how downplayed the Mazda name is, you don't see it anywhere except the rear

  • Hell ya Peter Frampton! also pretty rare for a 1993 car to have an in-dash CD player

  • i love the no framed doors

  • @joseblazer Subaru's up to 2010 have them.

  • @joseblazer Me too. That's my favorite.

  • looks like the pretty typical generic japanese cars of the 90s

  • and yet it looks 10x more modern than any 1990 american made vehicle

  • The dash kinda reminds me off a boat. I'm not saying it's bad, I actually think it looks really cool!

  • i love ur vids kyle

  • Where I live, this car is very rare to find

  • This is a good car and it's rare... Very nice styling. The reason that they didn't put a glove box is bc of the airbag system occupied that space and they made the center console deeper then normal to compensate for a glove box.

  • have you ever come across a hard to use climate control :P

  • when i look at,it appear sort Lexus car

  • Thats a rare car you got there.

  • this car is soo beautiful that it looks liek a 1998 jus like the 626 nce video kyle :)

  • THE DASH A BIT DIRRTY...UNLIKE KYLE. NICE CAR WITH INTERIOR SIMILAR TO LEXUS OF THE 90'S

  • I'm surprised that one of the viewers knew about the proposed "Amati" line that never materialized. Very good. I will tell you this though, I have always wanted one of these cars ever since I first saw one. All the ones I have seen were torn up so badly it would've taken too much money to bring them back. I would imagine that they would bring a fair price for their exclusive status now. Too bad, this is a nice example of a forgotten car.

  • i love this car it makes me want one but for the year and age for the mileage to b that low it must be a senior citzen had it before

  • This car is freakin well-equipped for a 1993 Mazda !!!

  • Kyle pls do a 2011 ford explorer :)

  • You can tell this car was "inspired" by Jaguar, but I'd take this over a Jaguar. Mazda should make a modern version. I miss the look of 90's Japanese luxury cars like the Mazda 929, the Lexus ES, and the Infiniti J30 had.

  • what does the button in the center console do?

  • Little known fact, no glove box is what killed off the 929... while generally well recieved by certain parts of the world, those living in warmer climates. Potential buyers who lived in colder and more harsh environments had no place to store their glvoes and thus refused to lay down the money.

Mazda has since learned from their mistake and now offers one of Japans largest glove box in regards to cabin size of all Asian manufacturers.

This is the internet, it has to be true!

  • @GRAFHC hahhah Very random dude!

  • These cars always reminded me of pizza. Don't know why.

  • i know most people use cell phones nowadays but i wonder if those car phones could actually be operational at this point in time.

  • @achm3d I wish! Since this is an analog phone, you can't get service hooked up to it anymore. Analog service stopped in February 2008.

  • I like this car. Interior and exterior styling seem pretty ahead of their time for an early 90s car. My uncle's got a 1995 model and it's still running strong!

  • Yep, can't believe the mileage is that low

  • i do prefer the older cars SK. I really like this 929, and would own it in a heartbeat. Althought the dealer installed wood package is a bit tacky.Did not, however know they had leather like material applied to the lower dash. Very ahead of its time. these are very hard to find!

  • Thank you so much for this. I love the 929 and 626 Mazdas personally.

  • @awin123 my grandparents had both of those my grandpa had the 929 and my grandma had the 626 now my grandpa has a mazda 6 and my grandma has a millenia

  • that's a pretty low mileage....
