Cool video, good use for such limited footage for most of it. Good attitude for the lyrics and much of the atmosphere, especially at the beginning.

It would have been perfect, but then you repeated clips at the end (Matt's car, Mello's bike). At first I thought it looked like Mello had seen the future and was going to save him... which I guess can still be inferred, but if you intended it it's not very clear.

I'll refrain from rating until there's more information.

(Replying to DogOfTheStreets) He was a character built by indirectness and context. He already looked cool and acted calm, which is a plus, and smiled more casually than most of the cast. Those qualities were appreciated in this dark story.

But the big factor was: Mello liked him. He couldn't care less who died around him, he held nothing sacred. But he tolerated and even liked Matt. That tells the viewer that Matt must be quite special, so some of us pick up on that and fill in the blanks. :)

I agree with this but I disagree with the whole Matt and Mello are lovers, that people have got going on.

Mello does not care about anyone except two people.

Near and Matt.

Now Near and Mello are rivals so there is no doubt that some hatred will be there.

With Matt they are friends, Mello shows a strong connection with those he grew up with.

Mello does let his emotions get in the way unlike near so that removes the whole Mello and Near fantasy.

Matt's charactor is cool and relaxed/easy to ...

Here's my little 2 cents, if you don't mind. :)

I love side characters because they don't have much developement in the plot, which means they can be basically whatever you want them to be. What we know of Matt is:

-He was a Whammy's House with Mello and Near, the third smartest kid.

-He was born in February and died at age 19.

-He smokes

-Mello considers him a friend and since he helped Mello with his crazy suicide plan, he obviously likes Mello, even just a little.
