@DiaoChanDw , well you see how well mine worked on him. You still need someone else to work on his legs to keep him from attacking the fortress. Guns do great damage to his body but don't stagger him often enough to win with one gun alone.
@pigibat , what I don't get is how people don't look at the dates on these videos. Some of my early videos I'd be fighting an enemy that was new and people would be like "Hey, man, to beat him what you gotta do is ____" and I'm like "THIS WAS THREE YEARS AGO!". And what's weird is that video response guy only has about 2,690 views and when he added it he had more views than I did.

@pigibat , I saw them play 3rd on the NGP months ago. But that doesn't mean they will necessarily have the game out on PSN to download. They play games on consoles and portables all the time as tech demos. And I said I was going to buy Unite when it came out but when it did I didn't because it took so long and I was pissed off at them for making us wait over a year. Seriously, the games have no story and little text. If fans can patch it in a month, Capcom shouldn't have to take a year.
@Bullshitvol2 , I was trying to break his shell beyond anything because of the bonus parts you get from doing so. Plus with the other two attacking legs and not able to attack the shell it made the most sense for me to do so as well.
@Lordwakka , it's the gun itself. That's the beauty of Light Bowguns. Many of them have rapid fire to a certain bullet type. This LBG has rapid fire to every element type as well as pierce shot level 1, so it's the most versatile and best bowgun on the game, IMO.
@thezooman1234 , the name of the people in my intro video are real life friends so if it doesn't have those names "Serenity, Inya, Velana, Shinora" then it is people on kai like this video.
@TheMhwarrioR , yeah this is Unite. It's called 2ndG in Japan and I was playing the patched Japanese one. But Unite is the exact same game in English but with less blood and some monster names are different.
@riss37 , Yeah it attacks about as much as Lao does. It steps on you if you are in its way, but it doesn't directly attack you. It is trying to attack the town and you have to defend the town from it.

To my knowledge, there isn't an auto-reload armor. But there are those that let you continuously fire without having to reload. Like the one I have on in this video, Brown Blangonga G rank. I think another armor gives it as well but I can't remember. It's called "Speed Fire". You can always just use jewels to get it on armor with enough slots.
I am still new to this game I just now got this quest from village elder idk how I am gonna fight this bugger. on the more positive side it means I'm almost to cat elder quests.
I am not sure what you mean by improve weapon needed to aim. I haven't played the game in a while but I think you just hold down like the R button to get the small crosshairs. All light bowguns can do that, if I'm not mistaken.

Not really sure what you mean the difference in standard range and scope. Do you mean the upgrades for the guns? I don't use Heavy Bowguns often so I don't remember all the details. But with the scope I think it increases accuracy and the range but I think it's louder or something like that.
I think it's very nice, and very cool, of you to reply to good questions. It shows an admiration for the lower levels and a sense of leadership. I think that is a quality more Monster Hunters should have :)
I really appreciate that. When I first started I would respond to every question. But now I get so many repeat questions. So although I do read every single comment I get and try to respond to many, I don't respond to the ones that the answer is already on the page several times or ones that I know the person is lazy, like asking me how to make Demondrug instead of looking it up in their combination book.
I never used lance on Shen. Have you been concentrating on one leg and when he is about to step, have you been blocking? Not sure if that tremor can be blocked (I doubt it) but it's worth a shot. Also, fire and dragon are his weaknesses if I remember correctly, try weapons with those elements.
already beat it... barely. i was using black smoke gunlance with guardianspirit armor set 'cept the head cause rathalos plates are hard to come by. had to use death stench brain. still HR3.
used the same for lao shan lung too. though my entire stock of godbugs ran out. :(
I say start with a Light Bowgun. It's faster and has more variation and immediate perks than the Heavy Bowguns.
Try to get a bowgun that has some sort of rapid fire. As in, it can shoot multiple types of bullets for the cost of 1. For instance, there are guns that Rapid "Reg Lv 2" or something. Meaning that for each level 2 shot you have, it will automatically shoot anywhere between 3-5 of them.
Or try bowguns that can shoot a large variety of bullets. Look at the description closely.
Okay killed one of those nasty gravios with a bowgun xD quiet useful but I think its not my style...looks cool but still I think I'm more the gunlance/greatsword type.
Which bowgun did you use? And it takes some getting used to. Bow was the first weapon I tried when MHF2 came out and I HATED it and swore off them. Months later they became my favorite weapon when I found out how to use them right. Anyone who has seen my bow videos knows I'm surgical with that thing but that's because I learned how to use it and kept at it. I still hate some bows, so it depends on what perks the weapons have.
Dunno the english name(I'm german^^) but its maide from Shogun Ceanataur parts(cause of pierce :D gravios hates pierce^^).If I'd transelate it it would be called piercing crab or something like that. I'm still HR4 but I think I'm (IF RANGED) better with bow then bowgun. Bow's quiet easy but problem for me is I need too much armor xD
Ah, German is awesome. It would be an awesome language to learn after I finish learning Japanese. And I'm better with bow than bowgun as well. But I used bow for hundreds of hours so it is nice to use bowguns as well.

To me, German sounds awesome and powerful, especially if they are angry. I live in southern USA so our schools suck and all I could take growing up with Latin which isn't used anymore, French which I hate or Spanish which was OK. So I took 5 years of Spanish and have been learning Japanese on my own for pretty much a decade and it's sad how little I know of it. But it seems easier to learn than German because you can use all english letters if you type in Romaji. As for Monoblos, I am
the wrong person to ask because I HATE the bloses so I never fight them unless I need something from them and I still seem to take forever to kill them. I tend to just get cheap and flash their brains out and use duals on their feet the whole time with High Grade Earplugs to not hear their annoying scream.
You should probably try to bring a Heavy Bowgun and use buffs like Adrenaline and Heroics. Use bombs to get yourself hurt enough to activate the skills, then stay back from the Shen and keep firing level 2 shots. For some reason I hear level 2 shots hurt more than even level 3, but I've never confirmed it. You can also try things like cluster shots, but Clusters are bomb types so they deal the same damage regardless of how high your ATK is.
Adrenaline is when your HP is below 40% you will get a boost in atk power. If your have heroics it activates if you have HP below 10%. So if you have both you can have both boosters kick in if you get below 10%.
where would you jump from? next to the bigs guns? i dont see any spot to jump.e and my cousin pwned this guy but we have no idea where and how to use antidragon bomb.
You jump into his mouth to carve. I don't remember there being anti dragon bombs on this stage but if there are then you jump into his mouth and plant them. Now, now the main crab's mouth, but the mouth of the Lao he opens to fire. You will almost certainly get hit but I don't think it's strong enough to kill you if you are inside its mouth when it fires.

They were two random people that got on xlink kai with me. We had only done a few missions together so I didn't talk to them much. But It looks like Rag is using full Gold Rathian armor and Helmet is using a combination of Yamatsukami and Silver Rathalos.
Bullet Limit gives you the maximum number of bullets when you combine them. For example, if a combination can produce 1-2 bullets each, you will always produce 2 with this skill. Speed Fire allows you to shoot bullets until you run out without reloading, as long as it isn't a bullet your gun can rapid. My gun can rapid pierce shot lv 1, flame, ice, thunder and water. Meaning it will shoot multiple shots of them automatically for each 1 bullet I provide. You get the skills from armor.

No, Shen is G Rank. HR7 is the first G Rank so you wouldn't have to fight a G Rank to get there. However, you do need to beat him to go from HR7 to HR8.

He was trying to get to the fort. He could care less about some puny humans. However, we hurt him so much he only hit the fort like once. He normally destroys the fort if you don't do enough damage to him. Same with Lao.

na man, its pretty easy, you shouldn't use a devil slicer, because its rubbery, so thunder wont really work, so shock trap wont work either, try using a hammer to break the crystal on its head to negate the flash, comment back if you need more help
Pretty much what PSPsongs said. But Gyps are hurt by fire so if you want to use an element use a fire weapon or one with high sharpness and raw damage. Pitfall traps still work on them, though.
I'm spoiled so I use Mega Juice for everything, even if it is just a quest where I don't have to run or things like that. It makes it easy so I don't have to stop if I'm running or rolling away and stuff.
Demon Drug brings your attack up. The attack will be risen on your normal and pierce shots. Things like crag shots have a set damage so no matter how high or low your attack it, they will do the exact same amount of damage, like bombs.

Anyone who has seen my bow videos knows I'm surgical with that thing but that's because I learned how to use it and kept at it. I still hate some bows, so it depends on what perks the weapons have.

Dunno the english name(I'm german^^) but its maide from Shogun Ceanataur parts(cause of pierce :D gravios hates pierce^^).If I'd transelate it it would be called piercing crab or something like that. I'm still HR4 but I think I'm (IF RANGED) better with bow then bowgun. Bow's quiet easy but problem for me is I need too much armor xD

Ah, German is awesome. It would be an awesome language to learn after I finish learning Japanese. And I'm better with bow than bowgun as well. But I used bow for hundreds of hours so it is nice to use bowguns as well.

german isnt awesome xD I hate it cause of the big words like "Ich gehe über die Straße" I cross the street..Nouns are big and its hard to spot them sometimes ;) I prefer english and wish I could learn japanese but that one is even more hard then german xD.
Again I tried to bowgun...but didnt work :) wanted to kill blos same way as I killed gravios...any tips on monoblos?

To me, German sounds awesome and powerful, especially if they are angry. I live in southern USA so our schools suck and all I could take growing up with Latin which isn't used anymore, French which I hate or Spanish which was OK. So I took 5 years of Spanish and have been learning Japanese on my own for pretty much a decade and it's sad how little I know of it. the wrong person to ask because I HATE the bloses so I never fight them unless I need something from them and I still seem to take forever to kill them. I tend to just get cheap and flash their brains out and use duals on their feet the whole time with High Grade Earplugs to not hear their annoying scream.

Well I used bow for about 400 hours in MHF2 so when I got to 2ndG I tried light bowgun as a change and really liked it. I like both.

You should probably try to bring a Heavy Bowgun and use buffs like Adrenaline and Heroics. Use bombs to get yourself hurt enough to activate the skills, then stay back from the Shen and keep firing level 2 shots. For some reason I hear level 2 shots hurt more than even level 3, but I've never confirmed it. You can also try things like cluster shots, but Clusters are bomb types so they deal the same damage regardless of how high your ATK is.

Adrenaline is when your HP is below 40% you will get a boost in atk power. If your have heroics it activates if you have HP below 10%. So if you have both you can have both boosters kick in if you get below 10%.

You jump into his mouth to carve. I don't remember there being anti dragon bombs on this stage but if there are then you jump into his mouth and plant them. Now, now the main crab's mouth, but the mouth of the Lao he opens to fire. You will almost certainly get hit but I don't think it's strong enough to kill you if you are inside its mouth when it fires.

They were two random people that got on xlink kai with me. We had only done a few missions together so I didn't talk to them much. But It looks like Rag is using full Gold Rathian armor and Helmet is using a combination of Yamatsukami and Silver Rathalos.

Bullet Limit gives you the maximum number of bullets when you combine them. For example, if a combination can produce 1-2 bullets each, you will always produce 2 with this skill. Speed Fire allows you to shoot bullets until you run out without reloading, as long as it isn't a bullet your gun can rapid. My gun can rapid pierce shot lv 1, flame, ice, thunder and water. Meaning it will shoot multiple shots of them automatically for each 1 bullet I provide. You get the skills from armor.

No, Shen is G Rank. HR7 is the first G Rank so you wouldn't have to fight a G Rank to get there. However, you do need to beat him to go from HR7 to HR8.

He was trying to get to the fort. He could care less about some puny humans. However, we hurt him so much he only hit the fort like once. He normally destroys the fort if you don't do enough damage to him. Same with Lao.

na man, its pretty easy, you shouldn't use a devil slicer, because its rubbery, so thunder wont really work, so shock trap wont work either, try using a hammer to break the crystal on its head to negate the flash, comment back if you need more help

Pretty much what PSPsongs said. But Gyps are hurt by fire so if you want to use an element use a fire weapon or one with high sharpness and raw damage. Pitfall traps still work on them, though.

I'm spoiled so I use Mega Juice for everything, even if it is just a quest where I don't have to run or things like that. It makes it easy so I don't have to stop if I'm running or rolling away and stuff.

Demon Drug brings your attack up. The attack will be risen on your normal and pierce shots. Things like crag shots have a set damage so no matter how high or low your attack it, they will do the exact same amount of damage, like bombs.
