  • this song is so touching

  • some great inforamtion here thanks

  • I so love this song. I had cyst removed from my under arm but I was not cancer! Praise God!!!

  • I love this song and video... it's the first thing I have heard to make me feel hopeful since my diagonsis. Thank You for this. Thank you soo much.

  • males get breast cancer too.

  • i am 15 and a sophomore in high school... Yesterday i found out that my mom has breast cancer! thank god that i have amazing friends that are and will always be there for me! I know that everything will turn out for the best. Now students at my school are planning a miracle minute which is 1 day for 1 minute people donate money and put it in containers and all of the proceeds go to help pay our medical bills! Thank god that we have people who care about us so much!!! <3

  • MultiManmade is such a douch man each canser has their own page and own individuality for FIGHTERS AND SURVIVORS to go to to help cope, give hope, and all in all just inspire so think what u wanna think you have your own views just dont come here hating, i am done wasting energy and time on u someone else needs and deserve it!!!!!!

  • @adlerskills12 No i'm just telling it like it is, everytime i walk into a super market i see those pink ribbons representing breast cancer awareness like this is some sort of feminist agenda.

Where the hell are those blue ribbons that represents Prostate cancer for men?? Why isn't anyone coming to their defence?? Why is it differen't for men and why should we discriminate against prostate cancer awareness and to be focused on one type of cancer involving women only?

  • @MULTIMANMADE FOR YOUR STUPID ASS COMMENT ON THE BREST CANSER SONG. THEIR IS SONGS AND MONEY FOR MALE BREST CANSER YOU DUMB MOTHERFUCKER. IF I KNEW U I WOULD PERSONALLY REMOVE YOUR FACE BITCH..... RESPECT THE WOMEN WHO HAVE CANSER ALL PEOPLE WHO HAVE CANSER AND DO YOUR RESERCH IF YOU HAVE A PROB TAKE IT UP WITH THE FOUNDATIONS NOT LEAVE STUPID ASS POST ON SITES HEPLING INSPIRE THE WILL TO LIVE .. I FEEL SORRY FOR YOU

    Sent to: multimanmade

  • @adlerskills12 You sound like a typical MANHATING FEMINIST, why should people respect women for breast cancer like as if thats the only cancer thats life threatening YOU PEICE OF SHIT??

What about lung cancer?? What about prostate cancer, bone cancer or brain cancer?? Why can't you say the same thing for those people who have those kind of cancers that we should respect them??

Why is it any differen't for women to be respected than men who have prostate cancer??

    F_CKING MANHATER

  • Breast Cancer awareness day at school, even the boys go pink~ <3

  • @Zillalibitina Yeah and those boys who go pink for breast cancer awareness are all faggots too and are mangina's

I wonder why nobody goes blue for prostate cancer??

Ide like to know where Prostate cancer awareness month is or lung cancer awareness month. Why is it just breast cancer awareness?? And why does this only matter like as if breast cancer is the only cancer that exist while all the rest of cancers that i mentioned don't matter??

This is a load of feminist propaganda

  • @MultiManmade

People who do not cheer on something are in the wrong. You should not be angry that there is not lung or prostate cancer awareness, you should cheer on the breast cancer and start your own movement. It all starts with one person and a good idea. Not one person with a temper.

  • This one of the most inspiring songs i have ever heard and you made it even better with the video.

  • Very inspiring video! Ive been on dialysis for 6 yrs due to HSP, was about to get a transplant in 09,found a lump in my breast, then I began my journey w/ breast cancer, I lost count of my surgeries, lost both breasts and 17 lymphnodes, lost my hair but NEVER lost my faith. I have a little boy and have to fight to stay here with him. Im still on dialysis and I have to go 5 yrs w/o any complications from cancer before I can get re-evaluated for a transplant, God has a plan and I trust Him.

  • this one is for you Pat

  • The video on prevention in the schools is a dream come true for a survivor in our area. She wants to take this idea nationally. Can you watch comment and spread the word.

  • I am a 11 year surviver. Had bi-lateral mastecomy in 2000. I have severe problems with lymphedema. If you get a chance take a look at my video- just type lymphedema and my name-Freda Whalen-Plues if you get time. I love your video, good job. Do you have problems with lymphedema? I use to run also and I was the first personal trainer in Lake Charles, LA. I still do deep tissue massage after26 years, I refuse to give up.

    God Bless.

    Freda Whalen-Plues

  • It is urgent that we get more and more prevention messages into the mainstream discussion. And as much as I personally appreciate research, new treatments, walks for the cure and pink ribbons, these campaigns just put more dollars into the mix while doing nothing to promote prevention.

  • I love your song, Melissa! Thank you for this triumphant song. Looking forward to last session of chemotherapy onto rads. God bless us all! FIGHT LIKE A GIRL! Overwhelming Victory is ours in Christ! FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!!!

  • I had a mamogram on the 25th of July, second on on Aug 1, ultra sound Aug 1, Ultra Sound Core Biopsy on Aug 3, now I wait and hope for a clean bill of health, will never take my health for granted again...

  • I battled breast cancer last year. I beat it in October 2010. I am being tested every 6 months for a new mass in my opposite breast which was benign in February 2011, I go next month for more testing. This video brought tears to my eyes. Thank you Ms Etheridge for writing this song for the toughest women on the planet. We will not give up! Fight like a girl!!

  • wonderful thank you for posting!

  • Amazing Job, i recently worked as a Photographer for a Breast Cancer retreat and this Video brought back every tear i shed listen to the stories from The Amazing women i had the honor of talking to. Thank you so much for this Video :)

  • I feel sad whenever a hear people being diagnosed with cancer. I wish we can have a cure for this.

  • @DirectMrBobby there is a cure for cancer, hemp oil.. google rick simpson - there called pheonix tears, its an extract from cannabis bud, it can be taken in many ways, you do not have to smoke it.

  • my mom was dignosed with breast cancer i dedecate this to her luv u mom

  • @superlinny1234 Notice how they make it seem as though breast cancer is the only cancer that can kill you?? Like where the hell is the blue ribbons for prostate cancer awareness, where is the awareness for brain cancer or lung cancer??

To me this is all a bunch of feminist crap

  • @MultiManmade then y dont u do something about ur blue ribbons... breast cancer is affects a large population of the world.. this is used to encourage women and men to fight.. regardless of the cancer.. people are being advocates.. and mabie instead of posting on a video like this you should make ur own vidoe for prostate cancer to increase awarness instead of wasting your time writing things like this... on a page like this that means alot to millions of people around the world. THANKS

    \

  • @princess16140711 No you know what this is?? This is a bunch of FEMINIST CRAP thats what this is, its for you bored feminist to have some sort of agenda and are out for money. I believe this whole breast cancer awareness thing is SEXIST, just lastyear a man was denied a breast cancer screenning due to him being a male. Had this been a female who was denied, all hell would have broken lose and there would have been a lawsuit

  • I'm 19, an just had a lump removed. Glory to God, it was biopsied and was benign. My mother is a survivor, as is my Grandma. I run for all of us, beautiful women. I pray we find a cure so that no one ever has to go through what my family has. I hope I never have to worry about another lump, however if someday I am diagnosed, I will remember the courage of you all, and stay strong. Thank you, survivors and family/friends, you're truly an inspiration.

  • Diagnosed with ductal carcinoma in situ last August. Double mastectomy followed by reconstruction. Positively loved and appreciated this video. LIFE is great.

  • This song wants me to run for my mom, who is diagnosed with breast cancer 3 days ago. I want to run as hard as I can. I want to cry it all out. I want to scream.

But I gotta stay strong for everybody. For my father, my mother, little sister and little brother.

  • Very inspiring video - those who go through this journey of breast cancer always emerge as amazingly strong role models for others.

    agendia*com

  • My grandma died of brest cancer. my mom and i usually do race for the cure and i wanna ride my bike from LA to NY for the people that survived and the ppl that lost their battle with brest cancer so in honor of my grandma love u mom A.K.A. grandma

  • I watched Farrah Fawcett's cancer story at the weekend and this song played at the end, so emotional, how such a horrible disease can just take someone so quick. Here's to all who are battling cancer and to all who have won the battle against it - you are the one of the bravest kinds of people on this earth..... remember, stay strong, and that whatever doesn't kill you will only make you stronger :) xxxxx BELIEVE :)

  • It has been a while since I have heard this song. It has been 6 years since my diagnoses and three years since my last operation. I tried reconstruction and it all went horribly wrong and the scars are worse now than before. But, I am alive! I live everyday blessed to be here. My nephew is now fighting cancer, only 4 years old. Knowing what he will go through is killing me. I cannot describe it, maybe some of you will understand. God bless you all and keep running.

  • God bless you and the gift of your life and your voice, Melissa! WE are so lucky to still have you. Fighting off this beast for the second time, this song is one of my motivations. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i love it! one of the most touching songs ever. it's so difficult to put such emotion in just a couple of verses. i wish to everyone to have courage.. and faith, principally to the power of the human spirit!

  • The single greatest event for most middle aged women is to get cancer. They become the centre of attention and are suddenly called brave and courageous simply for having a bad diet.

  • my best friends mom got it i really wish guys could run

  • Why is there so much focus on "Pink" and those forms of cancer more common in women these days? Men get cancer too, their lives are just as valuable.

Men would not be free of severe criticism if they instituted a "Blue" campaign...

The aim should be to raise awareness towards all forms of cancer, and not be gender specific.

Note: Men get breast cancer too.

  • There is a Prostate Cancer campaign it is world wide known. Colors are blue and there is a Prostate Cancer awareness month.

  • @TSM8088 I realised about that, this days it's mostly concentrated on women about their breast cancer but I think prostrate cancer is not getting enough attention among men either.

  • I am moved to tears...and I am a big guy...I have been so touched and inspired by this video and song..I have lost a great friend and my mother to this demon and pray that one day it will all end but until then I will fight side by side with the millions of others and before each battle I will listen to this song..Thanks

  • Komen claims its goal is to end breast cancer & to find a cure

Komen website states having a child reduces breast cancer risk

Komen website also states birth control pills raise breast cancer risk up to 30%

Komen directors donates millions to Planned Parenthood - largest abortion provider & supplier of birth control pills in USA

Are you sure Komen wants to end breast cancer?

    Hmmm...

Komen directors pay themselves big salaries from donations

Somebody is getting rich from breast cancer

  • my mum is a survivor she never once thought that it would beat her and for that i am so proud of her, my nan is a 3 time survivor , my aunt fought as hard as she could but it was too much for her, the song is fantatsic has bought me to tears

  • Caminare este año por alguien especial!!

  • For everyone fighting.

  • Thank you for posting, I have been touched by this illness in ways of having many family members and friends afflicted with this horrid dicease and it robs from them and for me. I pray everyday for a cure. I hope someday there is one...Foe every woman or man...God Bless You and for everyone that is touched by this.

  • wow, this is beautiful, I am running, praying etc; for all of you to have unlimited strength, hope, courage, faith, beyond what you can expect, In Jesus Name Amen(smile) my mother, father, cousin, mother in law all had cancer, God promises us a world of peace, love and sickness, disease, hunger, wickedness will be no more, he promises a resurrection of our love one, both rightoues and unrightouess, we will be reunited and see them again, hold on to that..........

  • love love love it! just posted it on our fb. you inspired us to host a forum on preventative methods and to raise awareness. This is so amazing...

  • I'm just crying.

  • I was diagnosed in 1993 with breast cancer. At that time, my son Alex Faga was ten years old, my daughter Angela Faga was six and my youngest daughter Saunoa Faga was three. My mother and my oldest sister defeated this terrible disease. After my second surgeries in December 2008,, I will run and survive for me my husband, children, grandchildren, my sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews and my families. Cancer changed me, for better me and long life.

  • Touching our heart's, thank you melissa beautiful song via one strong lady. may God bless you

  • do any of yea realize what this bullshit cancer industry is all about.Isn't it funny when all they talk about is a cure for when it's just the total opposite.do you see that after seventy years of the same bullshit treatments and thats all they have to offer.can you imagine such a corrupt industry where they suppress natural treatments because theres no money in it for them.you poor blind people will see one day maybe and these animals that run this pathetic industry will get their's.

  • i was diagnosed with breast cancer in Feb 2010 when my only child is 15 months old...July 15th 2010 is my last chemo...i will run and survive for me and my daughter...cancer changed me, for a better me and a longer life!

  • i dont want to sond disrispectful put why do woman with breast cancer run??

  • @paupels through exercise and good health women will unite and fight cancer

  • Fantastic Video - great song! I am an 8 year breast cancer survivor! After my surgeries and during my treatment of radiotherapy and chemo, I began writing songs of my experiences and now have uploaded some of them to You Tube!

  • This video made me cry...I was diagnosed this February with breast cancer and I lost my sister to breast cancer aged 36....I run everyday for life xxxx

  • @Dunnmarisa I'm a survivor, too. I was diagnosed at the age of 34, cancer in both breasts. that's a few years ago- and I'm still here; and running. Running really helps a lot.

You can do it, you'll survive it.

    Keep on running :)

  • @Rubinheart, thankyou so much for your inspiring words.

  • My mom just defeated this terrible disease!

  • what is this song called?

  • I run for life. by Melissa Etheridge 8)

  • beautiful song with so much meaning. my health teacher is a 2yr survivor and she led our school to raise $27,000 for the cause since MAy 2009. all the $ is going to MD Anderson

  • cancer was cured a long time ago, search dr. max gerson or phoenix tears or rick simpson.

  • I find it interesting that prior to Roe v Wade breast cancer was considered to be "old womens disease" not there seems to be a flood of cases. I realize not all have had abortions, but the bulk of these overweight women taking part in this walk have. Abortions contribute to breast cancer (fact). What possible reason would Susan G Koman have to give hundreds of millions to planned parenthood. That abortion you had when you were younger is effecting you now. God always works things out. TO BAD

  • I am a young breast cancer survivor...diagnosed at 28. This video is so touching. We need awareness. Young women can and do get breast cancer!

  • @1bobhennick

God Bless you, we lost our mother/wife/grandmother and congrats to you, may you stay strong.

  • I think i comment the video...

I LOVE it. It inspires me to run :)

    Melissa rocks.

  • Read u bible sfs and cop yourself on u have not got a clue , poor fool

  • Wow, ignorance is running wild in your little, delusional mind! My Mother-in-Law, my Mom & myself have all battled breast cancer and not ONE of us had an abortion. Next time, try educating yourself before spewing your hateful BS!

  • Everything that I posted was a fact. 50% of all women that have have had abortions get breast cancer. Your just angry that the abortion you had takes away form everyone feeling sorry for you. YOU ARE A SELFISH BITCH. I'm sure your mother-in-law is going to tell you that she had an abortion when she was 25 years old. Maybe some of these women should try losing weight (poor health, another contributing factor).

  • @sfs8556 Your posts; I find SO AMUSING!! LOL!!! ARe you 15? LOLOL!!! And in reply to your later post: Yes, God DOES always work things out:) That's TOO BAD for you. lololol

  • How are you ignorant? lol Just look at the way you speak & type. Maybe you're just lazy, either way, you've proved my point for me. Too bad your Mom didn't have an abortion before subjecting the rest of the world to you. I'm not here to defend the Susan G. Komen foundation or explain their mission. I simply made a positive comment on a nice video.

  • @sfs8556 Abortions? How about helping the born? There are millions and millions of hungry children in this world and I'm sure they need your help. (God told me to send you this message, your welcome)

  • If everyone deserves a lifetime, why does Susan G Koman give millions to Planned Parenthood?

  • Wow! What a beautiful video!

  • you poor gullible people in society today actually think there are no cures for cancer.you've been lied to all your life.big pharma the medical est.these scientists, they all know what causes cancer.these bastards will pay one day.people actually beleive this shit.all these bullshit fundraising drives for the "CANCER INDUSTRY".so pathetic.

  • u slob! If they knew the cure then noone would have to worrie about getting brest cancer! and everyone would survive it. BUT THATS NOT THE CASE! so piss off and if you arent willing to help with this world wide problem DON'T SAY ANYTHING ON THESE VIDEOS!

  • you poor gullible person, why don't you do some research on suppressed treatments for cancer and why big pharma and the medical est. want nothing to do with these treatments.this industry would be shut down overnight if these treatments came to light.

  • You don't know what the fuck you are talking about, if they knew the cures they would be saving people! They aren't killing people on purpose because THEY DON'T KNOW THE CURE! so SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU OBNOXIOUS BASTARD

  • shut the fuck up you say.hahaha you have no damn clue do you.they have no intentions of shutting this damn industry down and it's people like you who keep it going.what are yeah fucking poor people afraid of,the damn truth.ahhhhh, some day you,ll see.all you poor mislead people will see.once again i'll ask you to do some research about this bullshit industry.

  • Who the hell says I'm poor? and I ain't afraid of shit anymore, I've already lost everything that matters to me.

  • just curious, what do you mean by you lost everything that matters to you or tell me to fuck off.

  • idiots that think this was an erotic show.. wait till it's you or someone close to you that goes through this from that first visit at the doctor's office to the surgery to the treatments. Trust me.. nothing erotic about it. Wonderful video! I am running on the Run for the Cure Oct. 5th in Vancouver. Look forme

  • I just finished my reconstruction. Tears are streaming down my cheeks. I am a runner... will run harder tomorrow and the next day. I will survive and give back :-)

  • wow i am really inspired! i love that video!

  • There has been something that has been puzzling me. now, I know breast cancer effects a lot of women (and some men) and causes a great deal of pain, but why don't we have walks for lung cancer, as it kills over 3 times more in the US and The Flu kills a quarter million more people worlwide

  • this is so moving

  • It is Etheridge not ethbridge...

  • i love this video..it is so sad that people are actually out there living that and some of us are really lucky...love this song!

  • Who is the singer is this video?

  • It says it in the beginning and at the end where there are credits. i found out by guessing and looking it up.

If you still can't find it, the song is called

    I Run For Life

    It is by Melissa Ethridge.
