In DFW area we have bike nights where we ride the freeways at triple digits all night. The Dallas police have a standing order not to chase. dozens of groups of 10-30 sport bikes ride and meet up at different locations all night long. Going from 100mph or 110 mph up to 150 mph plus happens in seconds. No speed related accidents this summer or last, with my group.

Not true. You can get a Gixxer 750 to do that with ease also. I am guessing a Gixxer 600 will also do it with ease. I know the 750 will because I am learning to ride on a 2005 Gixxer 750 and I popped a wheelie my first time on it. Scared the crap out of me, but not as bad as not knowing how to shift yet and letting go of the gas when doing 50MPH and have the engine breaking almost toss you over the front of the bike. When people say these bikes aren't for beginners, they mean it.

Oh yea, when I released the gas, I was in first gear. So the engine breaking saw strong. My first bike will be no bigger than a Gixxer600/SV650S. Anything bigger than that for a beginner is just asking for it. If I wasn't so big 6'3" 240LB, I would get a Ninja 250 for a first bike. So far I am leaning towards a Honda CBR600RR or a Suzuki SFV 650 Gladius. The CBR interest me over a Gixxer because it has a less aggressive riding position. I want to be comfy on long rides.
