  • what key in ur accordion in

  • I would be interested in seeing your book. I like the number thing...Where can I get the book?

  • how would i go about too get the book ur talking about u can e-mail me at Big_Blue_Ford1@hotmail.com and let me no thanks

  • @phil198100 did you get the book. I am interested in buying but there are none in the stores here in the St.john's area.

  • I am dying to learn how to play the Irish button accordion. I have been looking on Ebay for something affordable for me, under $400.00. They have a lot of three row accordions under $400.00. Is there a big difference between the two row and the three row? Which one should I get? Thank you for any advice you can provide. :D

  • @NJKatwoman Well, usually the two main accordions for ITM are B/C and C#/D. Most of ITM players use two rows. Sadly, it is hard to come by a very good one for 400. I would try to buy a used one. Try different accordion or melodeon forums and keep and eye out for good deals. They would also have better advice for beginners than youtube would.

  • @PipersGrip I have been sick at heart all week, I almost won a Hohner Pokerwork in fantastic condition for less than $300.00 but at the last second, a "sniper" beat me out of it! I was bawling! But I'm on Ebay every day now, and praying that the good Lord will grant me this prayer. My goal is to play like you, and to add my five string banjo, guitar, fiddle and whistle to it...I wish to make a video of me playing all of my instruments. Won't that be fun? Please post some more videos of you!

  • @NJKatwoman Hi there. Sorry to hear about your loss there, I hate those ebay snipers. Unfortunately, this isn't my video. I was just replying to you. I don't even play the accordion...yet lol. I am saving up for one as well. Good luck in acquiring one!

  • Hi, would you be so kind and give us a brief demo on how to play the bass side and perhaps suggest exercises.

    Many thanks

  • It is very good that you have put this video together.

  • i would like to ask a question if treble clef side also consists of buttons, not keys it is same logic with bass buttons?

  • The button accordion is a relativel;y easy thing to play - a great deal of fun too. BUT, most people should be able to figure this tune out by ear.

  • hi, I believe this will be helpful to learners, but I would like to see this played with all the notes in the song so beginners learn it correctly right from the start. Cheers

  • You know it is like pulling Nails from a chickens mouth to try and find accordion books. I play across three rows on my Horner Xtreme that I got this summer. I had to teach myself. But played single row for many years prior from age 2 1/2 till now. With a laps of about 35 years in the middle. Thanks for this demonstration I really appreciated it. Are these books available in Canada!

    Cheers to you Ron!

  • well i wonder if someone could help me .. i have this accordion but without the black buttons on it .. its quiet old i must say .. does it have different name or something ? because i cant find videos about it on youtube :X (until now)

  • Thank you Gerald for posting this video - I've just bought a Hohner Erica and didn't know how it was set up - but listening to your video for just 20 minutes i've almost mastered The Black Velvet Band - allbeit a little lumpy in parts

many thanks and five stars from me

  • Hey ManiaCop and JollyRoger: it's called a SATIRE. He's making fun of how the man in the video speaks; he doesn't actually talk like that.

  • Some people in Newfoundland speak like this. There are lots of different accents in Newfoundland depending on what part of the province t hat you are from. I'm from Newfoundland and I don't speak like this.

  • hes not making fun of anyone, it's the local dialect, not something to be made fun of...

  • I play that accordian!!!!!

  • You play it, May i ask where you got it, its a HA-3000 Erica. and how much did you pay for it?

  • I bought it galway ireland it cost me 500 euros why???

  • no he plays it right he just plays it a tad different i noticed but nothing is missing.

  • i used that same accordion lol :) playing at the festival

  • Can I show you something...You skipped notes, not to mention bass & chords! Go to my videos, however drunk I am...is irrelevant! And, look up the BLACK VELVET BAND. I know you are showing beginners, however, I would like to see it done with extras and not basics. Please don't take offence to this, as I believe you are doing a good thing!... Just add some kick to it, but not enough to confuse your audience! Great Work, Tony

  • He is not adding kick to it because he is teaching !?

  • i think u got it kinda wrongon the first part

4 numbers down instead of in out in its out in out and also when u sing her hair hung its out in out out and over her its in out and shoul its out in and ders its out in lol not being a prick or anything man just plaed it for my mom and she corrected it

  • you know gerald freake??? i played with him in the fogo island folk festival this year
