The verse mentioned above is pretty cut and dry and needs no explanation. It's from John 3. I'm sure you've heard of John 3:16... well, this one is from verse 18. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
I don't have a problem with religion, you can believe in whatever you like. My problems lie with extremism and this attitude of condemning the public blindly. If everyone believed their own beliefs without feeling the need for changing everyone else's beliefs, the world would be a better place. Ya, that's because it's Penn State. Most students here just ignore these idiots and keep walking. There are occasional times people stop but this idiot set up in the wrong spot. Students were too busy here going between classes. Anyway, even when there is a show down, it's entertaining to watch.

Are you not trying to change other's beliefs by showing this fellow? Or are you trying to make the world a better place by stating to all: "I am thankful that I am not as this crazy guy." I like your point. It's so funny that people bash on others that do this but I don't see him jumping anyone shoving them to the ground and saying that if they don't listen to him he'll kill them or what not. He's talking and if someone wants to listen they can, I don't see anyone in this video getting upset with him.

You're right random verses from the Bible can be used out of context by a person sometimes. That's why it's good to open it up and read it in the context of the passage.
The verse mentioned above is pretty cut and dry and needs no explanation. It's from John 3. I'm sure you've heard of John 3:16... well, this one is from verse 18. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

I don't have a problem with religion, you can believe in whatever you like. My problems lie with extremism and this attitude of condemning the public blindly. If everyone believed their own beliefs without feeling the need for changing everyone else's beliefs, the world would be a better place. Look at all the wars caused by one group saying there religion is the "right" one. People that go about condemning the world are thereby making the world a worse place to live in.

It's not at all crazy. It's true. However, the guy would do better to quote the word which he's holding rather than blathering something that might just sound like opinion.
For example, here's a verse from the Bible regarding the first thing he mentions in the clip: He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Abstract verses from the bible can be interpreted in any way the person wants them to be interpreted. When people begin to be so obsessed with following the thought process of a PERSON from 2000 years ago and condemn other people for using there own intellect and reasoning, I find that crazy. No matter how someone interprets it, no one knows what happens after death. So to say that someone will burn in hell for behaving in a certain manner is absurd.
