use R4 wood 1.05, just over a meg d/load and its 2 files you pop on root of memory card, boot r4 and select micro sd and BINGO...your playing which ever new rom you wanting to play!!

Unfortunately, the official R4DS kernel hasn't been updated in 2 years and is becoming less and less compatible with newer games. Alternatively, one could use something like YSMenu and use another flash cart's firmware with an R4 front-end.
