Prince Andrew REALLY f***ed up a good thing. I'm still very disappointed in him. If he needed money, why didn't he get a paid position? He studied economics & business. A shame he didn't just go for a career. Now he's stuck shaking hands & revealing plaques for the rest of his life. He's clearly bored & should take a cue from Katherine of Kent & live a quiet life. People travel from all over the World to see Buckingham palace, this takes in millions and millions per year. Plus the charity work they do and the money they raise from these events. this is such an interesting documentary. I always viewed the Monarchy as sort of stoic and standoffish. For lack of any other terms they seemed very "old school." Seeing them in this they seem pretty nice and very human. I mean I always saw the boys (Princes William and Harry) as modern and so a bit more open but this is interesting seeing that the other parts of the family are like that and/or are at least striving towards that

Essentially then, the Royal Family are the ultimate civil service diplomats.To all sorts of different causes and theatres of operation. I reckon at 65p a year per person, that's a pretty good service because on the whole they do an excellent job. Especially the Queen. I imagine she's one of the only bastions of respect that this country has in the international community.

I think it's ridiculous that it's been suggested that the Duke of York used his occupation a leverage to get a good sale on his Sunninghill Park estate.. It's rather obvious why someone would want to pay extra for a house that is a former royal residence (even though that house is - hideous - ).

It's his personal "cypher." The monarch grants her children their own "household" and then gives them a cypher that they use in their correspondence, etc. The Queen's cypher is EIIR. Princes William and Harry were recently given their own cyphers. The cypher is not, however, their coat of arms. Those are different.

Christopher did not suggest that the Princess gave the Nigerian people independence, nor did the Princess say such a thing.
