When doing some Maths problem sums,I noticed that some negative integers have been "bracketed",so I just wanna know what the bracket is used for.Reply ASAP,thnks!
Wow since 15 yrs ago i did this math i used to love math but i hated now its so many yrs from now i already forgot a lot of math and i have to refresh it my brain again im 28 yrs old..i hope its gonna help me.
@MultiMini89 check this guy out man you might understand him better. Oh and another thing do you understand that adding - 3 and positive 10 will give you positive 7 ?
Thanks!! :D Just needed to know how to add the negative and positive numbers and positive from negative. I took better notes from you than my regular math teacher. (:
OMJ ! thanks soooooo much sir! you are awsome...i'm in high school & i just hate maths because i get sooo confused with these integer & algebra rules! but now i'm all sorted haha :P THANK YOU SOOO MUCH YOU MADE IT SOOO SIMPLE FOR US TO UNDERSTAND :) ... I WISH YOU WERE MY TEACHER ... YUPPIE NOW I'LL HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH MY HOMEWORK :P ... THUMBS UP IF YOU AGREE PEOPLE ;)
Mr. Zimmerman, I can remember the rule and work it but how do they derive this rule is something I didn't understand. I don't know if I have learning disability or did I miss something you said? I was wondering if you can clarity it for me and give me more example...maybe show it on the number line like you wold for addition and subtraction? Thnks sir Lin
hi, the procedure is to turn subtraction problems into addition problems. so if you know how to add positive and negative numbers then you should understand. I would focus on adding positive and negative numbers first. Then when you do subtraction problems turn them into addition problems.
on the problem 7 - 10 u said turn the - into a + so it turns into 7+ -10 but instead of adding u still did subtraction..... my question is how and why?
thanks a lot this really helped.

On your problem 7-10 why would you need to change the 10 to a negative if the question you were answering didnt already make it a negative?
ilikefast69 2 years ago
